Cheap High Quality Bubbler

Honeycomb. It looks like they put a honeycomb right beneath the mouthpiece, chances are this will result in bubbles stacking all the way up the mouthpiece.

Not that it was the intent, but I've seen percs that high up when they're acting more as a splashguard? I might try underfilling the piece and slowly adding water until the stacking gets out of hand, then backing off some. It would be cool to see that piece get functional. It's got cool visuals.

Point taken, that is IF the thing we see right under the HC isn't the regular perc. Hard to tell by this picture. Looks pretty, can't argue that. I really hope it turns out a winner, even with the usual european shipping rip-off it's around 50 bucks. I think I could budget that... :D

Good luck! ;)

In other news, just got a refund on my PNWT Never even gave it a try.
I think the PNWT is one of the biggest design blunders of the water piece movement!
Regardless of the glass quality.
I'm sure there are some who love it?
You are fortunate to get out of that mess!

If it was free I would throw it away to make more room for something I use!

Never been a fan of the hydratube concept to beginn with and can't compare it to the original, but the chinese knock offs are really useless. There is no way to hit that thing without getting the upper chamber filled with water. At least the one I tried, didn't try that other jagged mess of air inclusions I got.

Even a high end one does the same.
Very lame call to mass produce such a piece?
Looks good on paper I guess?

I have the same knock off PNWT and in my case it is useless with my MV. I tryed a few times but always I finish with my mouth with water, and the silicone cone dosen't fit with the MV and I need to use an adaptor but it loose a lot of practicity.

Can't say my PNWT has ever gotten water past the splash guard. Great little tool for on the go.

Let's give some love to the US distributors of cheap glass, and show the world we can peddle cheap glass with the best of them. Watch out Kathy!

5" Fumed honeycomb 10mm. $49

Bio 14mm recycler. Obviously not a vortexer, but it could recycle theoretically? $35 to find out.

7" honeycomb bubbler. $26

12" honeycomb bent neck. $49.

Oh my you need to see what a mess the oil domes are. Apologies to Ryu...

Good luck! ;)

In other news, just got a refund on my knock off PNWT tubes by Sunshinestore via Aliexpress. One had loads of bubbles on the surface, some of them allready popped. This resulted in sharp edges and a generall rough feel of the surface. Never even gave it a try. The other one just fires right into your mouth, no matter how much water you put in there.

Chatted Mike up via AliExpress before, he asked me to dispute the order and got my refund accepted 5 minutes later. Excellent Customer service, will buy from the again.

Well that sucks. I had heard some mixed reviews on the water tool, but it seems like the folks that got them recently were pretty pleased.
I JUST ordered one myself, along with the triple donut piece. Hope they work out ok!

Dabs are vapor too!

I like the 2nd one, I'd like it even better if it was 14mm.

Maybe I was doing it wrong, maybe I as expecting to much, maybe there is a tiny crack or hole somewhere fucking up the function. Doesn't matter anymore Imho, the important thing is Mike came through and refunded me right away after I sent him a picture of the air inclusions and stated my issues with the other tube. No bullshit, just excellent customer care.

I have the real pinnacle one, and have the same problem, it's a piece of shit to be bold.

I have a TRVB PnP water tool but don't use it much lately, I hit my PnP dry, but the problem most people have is they put too much water in it and it doesn't function properly. It uses very little water. The other issue is you don't want to cough or blow into it or the pressure will force the water out of the bottom and into your vape (I'm guessing that the VXH hydrotube designs prevent this somehow?). Other than these issues, I found it works very well, so it's quite YMMV I guess.

That won't recycle. The drain is well above the perc, so when you're sucking it'll pull foam up there too and just act like a normal bubbler. I guess you could fill it enough to cover the drain entry and maybe get the top half of the water cycling, but you'd be pulling through a deep column of water to get this to happen and it'd be draggy as hell. This is yet another recycler "designed" by someone that apparently doesn't actually understand how they work, but knows people want them and thus, gosh darn it, is going to make one anyway, even if they have to randomly copy bits in from other designs they've seen and hope for the best.

You'd think they'd test these things before putting them into production. I'm sure the total lack of cycling would be immediately readily apparent. Bizarre.

That is what power up mushrooms look like after you've eaten a whole bunch of another type of mushroom. :/

Or maybe the blower ate them? God damn, it looks like someone tried to draw it left-handed, and then the drawing came to life.

Both my Chinese knockoffs W/T's get no water and work flawless, I haven't used my f-bomb or my original PNWT in a month since I got these, maybe I got lucky!

Same here. I fill it up by filling by the mouthpiece until it starts overflowing out of the bottom. After it's done spilling out, it's good to go and wouldn't spill out unless I tilt it 90 degrees.

No water in mouth either.

I sometimes use my PNWT but it spends most of its time put away... at the right water level, mine functions quite well, but I don't like straight necks much anymore, they make me have to crane my head down to use them and my neck is all fucked up. so it hurts. :\

Good news, my D020-2-W sidecar has passed US customs and will be here in a couple of daze or so. Unfortunately the 10mm layered cake rig from Kathy has not even made it to china post yet, I just got a not yet active shipping notice so that one is moving slow...not sure if it will get here before I go out of town for almost a week. Still crossing my fingers that it might squeak by.

I also got a 10mm quartz male domeless at the DFO this weekend, it's so tiny and delicate looking, but has a nice low profile on the mini recycler rig. I am getting a female 10mm quartz nail in the mail today, so that should fit nicely on the 10mm beaker, and stay on snug. I'll put some pics up in a bit.

...*since this is glass related, I went to DFO in Eugene this weekend and it was fukingreat! I got to meet a few local glass blowers and will be attending a "newcomers to the torch class" in a couple of daze, there might still be a few extra glass artist peeps hanging around to meet, and learn from so that will be sweet... yeah baby! glass bug bit me hard, can't wait to dive in deeper. I might have to abandon my bong/vape addiction for a while so I can afford to start buying blowing supplies. I think the trade off will be worth it....

Here at FC I have been programmed to love Mondays, it's typically the day most people get new items! I am expecting my nails, pnwt knockoff, ac, and amazingly the colorful inline with dabber and dish is already in the states, though it's looking like tommorrow. My sunshine triple donut tracking is MIA, seems they are pulling the old trick of Kathy's, though I'm certain it will all work out just fine! Have a great Monday and stay Vaked my friends!!!

I hardly use mine too, only when I'm going out and seshing in the car before a movie or something aha.
I use it with my pnp. If you guys take your tube around, I suggest a flashlight case for it. It works pretty damn well.

Hi all!

I've been looking over this thread over the course of last night and this morning and it has only made my desire to splurge on new glass burn stronger. I've been eyeing up this http://www.marijuanapackaging.com/water-pipe-hurricane-disc-bent-clear-12.html and was wondering if anyone here had any experience with the piece. I'd prefer to buy from them over one of the Chinese places for the simple fact that there's a chance I could receive the piece this week. Thanks for any help.

Welcome!

Don't get caught up in the notion of those 'hurricane' discs - I've had them. They don't really do much at all - one of the glass blowers a while back pointed out those dics are really intended to act as splash guards and nothing more.

I can understand wanting to buy from a US vendor, but you will pay a lot more for the same items we're buying for $30 to $40 each!

Another website you might want to check out is ThickAssGlass.com - they ship from somewhere around Philadelphia and their prices aren't too bad for what they offer.

Thank you, I will check them out. I'm actually looking at an 18mm J-Hook on eBay for $12.99 (w/shipping included) so I may go that route and pick up an AC too.

Modnote: Back to back posts merged.

Sorry to double post, but I just thought I'd let you folks know I took the plunge! Picked up a 14mm J-Hook and inline ashcatcher from Bake Bros on iOffer. Total of $42.

I like the WTs, both the original and the two knock offs I've gotten (one from Sunshinestore today). They are easy enough to carry around and cut the edge off any harshness. Very little water. I usually dump it and refill as I do with the bullets. The original works the best with the most recent knock off coming pretty close. No defaults in workmanship. If you don't expect much then you won't be disappointed. Experimenting with water level is critical. I literally use an eye dropper to add water to get to the ideal point. Then I etched a tiny mark at that point for filling on the go.

Interesting! The PNWT knockoff has changed!

Both knockoffs were purchased from Sunshinestore (the one on the left is the one I have) - the one o the right looks like a new design....

Note I have the original PNWT knockoff and don't really have any complaints - I don't get to use it much, but for the price I paid, it's worth having in my arsenal
