To TRVB I did not seem for my post ( the post you initially were replying too ) to be so negative. Id like to start by saying I LOVE the PNP, I use it daily and it has completely put my solo to the draw. I recommend this vape 10/10 times. I am also glad you started posting again because it means you care. When I said the unit is cheap I didn't mean it as a knock on the product. Let's face it you used in expensive materials. You don't need to be a specialist to see that. But doesn't mean it's a bad product. The only thing I didn't like is when sh** hit the fan you stopped posting. I and most others loved when you were a regular poster getting suggestions from actual users and showing that you care. I would like to see a better battery in this thing and I would like to know that I have a strong device backed by a company who is willing to support it god forbid it should have a fault. You shouldn't shy away from a good product. Your product had some problems all company's have that, next time don't go into hiding but rather interact with the supporters of your company to get a fix. Once again I love the PNP and I just want your company to keep supporting the PNP. And for the record I'm glad you decided to post again.

I don't think I can afford the level of cs that a company like ploom provides, but I can do better than I have been. If I could rewind time I would do things differently.

Thanks, that means a lot (to me anyway).

Gpong is good (maybe the screen could be better executed). But a big improvement. I'm on top if cleaning my unit always, but find there's little to no build up of gunk on the collar to clean anymore.

Maybe next thing to look at is the battery...
Better battery/battery management or a swappable one in the next version and you'll be laughing.

Something I have observed though and haven't seen it posted... Some if my bullets are longer than others due to the screen extending out if the bottom more. These long ones seem to be just a little too long as after a few uses I've noticed the screen cup part to deform a bit and get squashed upwards.
No major prob for me but wonder if the screen on the bullet might split after a while. Might be worth taking a look.

Nice to see you posting again btw

I'm also glad that TRVB is posting again. I was one of the (minority) that posted (more than once, sorry mods) that I never had problems getting my emails answered from his CS person, and that reports about unresponsiveness puzzled me. I never had any issues with the company or product until it looked like the GPong's weren't going out as replacements as was mentioned way back but Dave is now on the case and one is being sent to me, which I really appreciate.

My biggest issues with the PnP, overall I think it is functionally superior to many other portables, but the plastics getting very sticky over time and the inability to apply ISO to them for cleaning/reclaim makes it very difficult to clean. I am just unable to get my Pong from being sticky and I've used ultrasonic bath and very hot water scrubbing. If the problem with the degrading plastic is due to improper cleaning as has been mentioned, then I would really like to see some official, detailed "how to" clean the PnP properly instructions. I am hoping that the GPong will eliminate the stickiness and that I'll just have to clean the glass insert while the other parts remain resin free. My other problem is that the battery has weakened a lot over only about 6 months, so I would also wholeheartedly endorse a future user-replaceable battery design or a more hearty battery choice.

I have been a business person for well over 20 years, but I do not subscribe to the fallacious notion that "the customer is always right." In my experience a small section of customers can be unscrupulous and dishonest with a company making unreasonable claims and demands, not saying that's what is happening here but it does happen quite a lot in places I've worked. I do believe some here have legitimate issues and that TRVB maybe didn't handle things the best when the downward spiral happened. I also don't blame him at all for taking a break, he was getting beaten up very unfairly IMO and with a lot of piling on that his temporary silence here catalyzed. It is no-win for him here even when things are going well, so we should appreciate that he is even willing to come back and keep things as constructive as possible in the future.

Enough negativity, let's get over this rough patch and look forward.

It is no-win for him here even when things are going well...

I disagree with this part and I suspect TRVB does as well, else he wouldn't resume posting. When things were going well, he got good input here. Now he can mend some fences and turn some opinions around. You can even argue that the PonG disaster was a valuable learning experience—turn a loss into a win, so to speak.

Got the replacement GONGs which where a bit of a disappointment but i was still happy to get them free of charge.

Welp judging by how my first PnP acted in the week or two before it died I'd say I'm about ready to burn out my second unit. Once this thing dies I guess I'll just go back to smoking weed the old way, not a fucking chance I'm wasting more money on a product that won't last more than a few months. Thanks for all the help everyone!
Slow down there partner. I will personally see to it that you don't ever have to combust. Let me know if you need a backup. Vapes are a new territory, but showing you can hang with people who use your product takes it to the next level where all want to be.

@TherealVaporblunt Damn. Welcome back to the game. You might turn out to be something lasting after all.

Misconception is still all our enemy. Fighting it together is a much better way to rally then making no ground against each other.

I don't want to open myself up to the jinx gods but my experience with the PnP has been very positive. The build quality is a little iffy (the little plate that goes over the LED's on mine has a noticeable gap) but it has performed well. Mine came through the first Massdrop this spring and the device remains clean and effective.

I'm surprised at claims that it doesn't make clouds because mine makes crazy clouds (I get clouds on the 2nd setting). I think mine may run a little hot but it has been reliable and a 6" tube helps. I think the WT would be fantastic but my situation is such that I would rarely be able to use it, so I can't justify the expense.

I'm torn on comparing the PnP to the Vapman. Vapman is just a different experience (more intimate?) and it is faster to brown a load. BUT...the PnP seems to hit harder (albeit with a noticeably larger load). I'm starting to understand the compulsion to buy multiple vapes because each of the three I have fill a unique role in the arsenal.

Just wish I could understand who gets gpong and who doesn't!

im sure all the units have a gap by the led, you can stick your nail inthere and it pops off. yes the unit is great but the materials feel flimsy.

Yeah the collar on the top of mine sat just SLIGHTLY off angle enough that it annoyed me, but for some reason or another the thing never died- the friend I sold it to says it's still running great.

I'm glad to see TRVB coming back as well, the way a lot of people stated their issues to be universal so matter-of-factly was not cool- and may or may not have hindered any actual progress being made on future and current products

@TherealVaporblunt,

This is your chance.
You've got a lot of people's attention here.
You have a huge buzz.
You need to harness all the energy here (positive and negative) and use it towards your company's momentum.

When the PN OG first dropped, people were very vocal about the issues that they had about it.
They voiced their opinions about:
Wanting more temp settings.
Use while charging
You guys responded and improved the PN OG and revised it with the PNP.

For the PNP, there were issues such as the creeping pongs and splitting tops.
You guys responded with 2 immediate countermeasures of glass gongs and a full blown long term countermeasure with the glass insert pong.
You guys also made a top available to the end user.

I found it funny how every time you requested proof of someone's failed pongs, nobody sent you one back.

Your stance makes perfect sense.

Although your presence in here was non-existent in the past few months, at least you guys responded back to the end user by providing us with actual tangible solutions vs just words on here.

This proves that you are listening and working with us.

I appreciate that you are local.

I also appreciate that you have provided me the best customer service that any company could provide.

On another topic:
I've owned a pax and still own a Solo.
People need to understand that all vapes require some form of cleaning maintenance.
The duration of cleaning falls in between the Pax and the Solo for the PNP.
I used to clean my Pax every 5 sessions.
I know someone who owns a Pax and cleans it almost after every session.
The solo on the other hand can go almost forever without any cleaning what so ever.

Bottom line... the PNP is the most efficient portable.
The PNP hits the hardest.

If you do the math, compared to combusting, the ROI on the PNP is made up on the first 1.5 oz.

The PNP gives hits that even combustors can appreciate.

That's in your opinion. In my opinion it is a sensational product. I've had 3 units and they have all worked flawlessly.

Because you got what you were supposed to get when you paid your money. Many of us have not. I noticed my collar cracked yesterday. This is the 4th break I've had in less than a month of ownership. And that was after waiting for it a month on back order. First one arived dead and would not charge, the next one melted my mouthpiece even though I used it on 2, so I ordered the new GponG only to have the oring snap after two days of use, and now the cracked collar.

It IS sad, because I love the performance of this thing. But it is obviously not able to stand up to its own use. Even with good customer service, is this what I have to go through to keep it running right?

TRVB, in my oppinion and from my experience, you have a product that performs wonderfully. I love how versatile it is, the size vs performance is great. Maybe the best I've used. But I honestly think you guys should look at making a PnP-2 made of better materials. I'd love to see a metal PnP.

I hate saying it, but this is my swan song on this thread. It's just been too difficult. Even my oring situation turned out to be difficult. You'd think replacing a oring would be easy. For now, I'm going back to my solo. Maybe in the future I'll try again. I think this vape could have been best in show, But for now, I'm just done with the frustrations.

Good luck all.

Dude i hate to point fingers.. but after 4 units .. maybe its you who is doing something wrong. I have had the OG PN and the PNP.. Both have never had any problems other then melting mouthpiece, which was corrected.

Maybe you should try being more careful with the units when you get them

Also TRVB you should stop selling regular MPs all together. Just shit out the units with the GPONGs.

I appreciate the love I'm trying my hardest to make everyone's pn pro an enjoyable experience.

However it is a matter time before I have to figure out a solution for the battery issue. If I had you send in your units when the battery no longer works and we charged you to change out the battery put in the new battery what would be a fair price for that in your opinions?

Can anyone think of a better way to address the issue once your battery has seen the end of its life cycle? This problem will become relevant with the first pinnacle before the Pn pro, but the process would cost will be the same.

What is your issue with the o-ring?
If you've lost it, then you can easily find a replacement.
You can even cut a piece of a 3/8" tube (1/8") and stretch it over the glass insert.
I've done it already to keep it tighter than it was.
You can't let a simple o-ring discourage you from using the PNP.
The Solo thread is full of posts about using O-rings to keep the stem from being loose and ensuring not leaking any air.

Dude i hate to point fingers.. but after 4 units .. maybe its you who is doing something wrong. I have had the OG PN and the PNP.. Both have never had any problems other then melting mouthpiece, which was corrected.

Haha "just shit out the units!"
@SiDankies, thanks man, I just laughed out a thick cloud of PNP vapor!
I think the end user also need to ensure that they pull the Gpongs straight away from the PNP unit.
If you "rock" the Gpongs off of the PNP, then you are creating too much force against the "top" wall.

@TherealVaporblunt,

Since you're already making the "tops" available.
The end user needs to open up the PNP.
FC members have already done it.

If you were to sell batteries with the connector already attached, then the end user could replace them.
But @Engineering stated that disconnecting the battery could un-calibrate the unit.
If you sold batteries with the connectors, then you will need to provide instructions of re-calibrating the PNP after the new battery has been installed.

EDIT:
@TherealVaporblunt, @Engineering,
Just a thought:
After opening up the PNP:
Would it be possible to connect the adapter to the PNP (maybe even needs to be turned on) and then replace the battery to ensure that the calibration is not lost?
I use equipment that needs to be plugged in or even powered on while replacing batteries.
Hopefully this could apply to the PNP.

Nice post sativape. I def agree that people shouldn't "rock" the MP or Gong or Pong off the unit. Also try only removing and putting it on when the unit is hot. Doing both of these things will help prevent any cracks.

Also I definitely agree that they should somehow make the battery user replaceable .. I would pay for that TRVB 100% ..

Now to a thought I had... Has anyone tried using the vapexhale ez bowls in there PNP? Do they fit?

OK disagree with me, I can't force you to be right
I've only had mine for about six months, but other than it being DOA when I first got it (immediately replaced) I haven't had any cracking.

It does seem to me that allowing it to cool completely first before opening it is the better way to go. I know conventional wisdom is just the opposite, but it seems to me that when the plastic is warm/hot its likely to be more maleable. Once flexed a bunch wouldn't it be more brittle? I have absolutely no scientific basis for this belief, only daily use and no cracking with allowing it to cool down first before opening. I can alternate with a Solo or something else while it cools if needed.

Just sayin'.....

Ok. It's a little rude to just assume I'm doing it wrong just because you have been problem free.

Everyone that knows me knows that I BABY everything I have when it comes to tech. Weather it's my phone of my vape device.

I own 2 different tabletop units and as for portables, I own a , Solo, MFLB, Vapman,PnP,Pax, and No 2. I've had some experience with the way a portable vape should perform, and what is breaking far too easily. I've posted about the breakdowns in the past. They are NOT things that were my fault.

I did not say I had 4 units replaced. I said I had 4 problems with two units in a month.

When it arived at my door unable to recieve a charge, dead on arival, was that something i did?

When I used my pvp on heat lvl 2 with all of TWO forays into lvl 3 before deciding I liked the cooler temp, and not ONE TIME ever using heat lvl 4 or 5, was it my fault the plastic around the screen started deforming? This product has settings for heat levels 4 and 5, your scolding me because it couldn't handle 2?

So I don't even go through customer service on this one, because at this point I notice the gpong is for sale. So I just say the heck with it and buy it. If it solves the problem, great, I'm happy. I don't care I had to pay for it. New Gpong comes and it's great for 2 days, then I noticed the glass tube was sliding around in side the plastic sleeve very easily where it wasn't before. So I slid it out and the oring had snapped somehow inside the tube. But it must have been me right? Couldn't have been a faulty oring. That never ever happens.

So I could just send the whole Gpong back but I think, hey, how hard could it be to replace a oring. I live way out in the middle of no where so i start looking online to see what kind of oring I need to get to replace it. I find out it has to be a high temp oring, but can't find sizes anywhere. I look for variety packs online but can't find anything with enough variety to know I'm getting what I need unless I buy a couple hundred at once for 30 bucks. Might as well just send the Gpong back.

So I email vaporblunt asking for specs on the oring so I can get it through the mail right the first time. They send me a reply saying 7mm or 8mm. This kind of confused me because it seemed like it should be a little more precise than that, but mostly because everywhere I looked online listed oring size in the format of 7mm x 12mm x3mm. 3 dimensional sizes. After pressing for this I got a reply a week later ( he had to talk to the techs. ) about why it could be 7mm or 8mm, but no 2nd and 3rd size specs. Which just leaves me guessing as to what to order. So it's my fault I can't even get good info or maybe even a helpful link when I could have just asked them to replace the 2 day old broken part? Hell I went to there sight thinking there would have replacement ones for sale right there. Solo has replacement rings. I was surprised to see they didn't.

The next day after getting that email I noticed my crack in the collar. You can talk about rocking or being gentle all you want, I have not been ruff in anyway with my unit. I keep it clean by rubbing excess build up away with my finger while it is still very warm. No chemicals ever. But I'm sure once again it was my destructive nature that has brought me to my deserved ruin. Right? C'mon man. Stop. =/

I'm happy your experience has been great. Its what I wanted to. And I do belive it could still be. But please stop assuming that because your experience was good, anyone else's who's wasn't, must be doing something wrong. It's beyond insulting.

@Weez65,

No I don't think that the Solo O-ring won't fit the PNP Gpong.
I was just pointing out that O-ring issues exist with other vapes that's all.
But, to try and help you, if you still have your old O-ring that broke, you could bring it to a plumber and they'll definitely have one that will fit.

When I look at the O-ring, I have one from tap cartridge that looks identical.

When it comes to O-rings, just remember they are sized by OD, ID and thickness.

Be also remember that you can use a smaller O-ring that could stretch over the glass insert which would then decrease the thickness because of it stretching.

Try the tube method that I mentioned also.

Just be safe about he materials be used.

High temp resistant materials are always your best option.

RE: PNP battery

@BarnBoy, any thoughts on TRVB's request for feedback regarding the PNP battery?
I'm glad to see you're still on here! I know you got some ideas also!
