FlowerMate Vapormax V/V5.0/V5.0S/V5 Pro

I pulled the trigger on one of these units about a week and a half ago from a US ebay seller.

Unfortunately I seem to have fallen victim to ebay's crappy global shipping and it cannot be delivered to Australia, so now I get to deal with the joys of Paypal refunds

Unfortunately, though no fault of the manufacturer, this experience has left a real sour taste in my mouth and thus I won't attempt to buy another

I really fucking hate it when I have to jump through hoops to complete a simple transaction, so I'm sorry if this sounds rantish.

Moving on now, I guess a Solo will be in my future soon

I think you may be grinding too fine. Try a medium/coarse grind loosely packed to the top of the ceramic wall (just below LED) this should produce better results.
Also the silicone mouthpiece tip will fit in most standard water pipes. Just pull out the slide and stick it in upside down.
The pinnacle 14mm water tool and the F-bomb work with it with no attachments. Just put it on top.

@Minging don't pack it so tight. Do not use the dab tool that came with it, Do not pack it.
Loosly med/coarse grind as stated above should help.
Over 50 chambers vaped through mine and the oven screen looks brand new.

You can easily get over 30 hits per oven with fresh herb (I got 40 hits before). The key is to keep hitting it once or twice after you shut it off if you haven't finished the chamber (that draws heat out of the oven and preserves your herb).
Pull the mouthpiece out, blow, scrape brush(when cooled) the metal screen shut the lid and shake it up to mix the herb.
Round 2 will be ready.
IMHO I found this vape needs to be packed loose (just pour in and tap the side) for best results and bigger clouds.
Key word being fresh. If it is dry this will still work much better but you will get less hits.

What is the average amount of hit people are getting from an oven? I'm really getting 7-10 hits per oven. It is getting me lightly baked. I don't really have access to fresh bud in Pittsburgh so that is very sad. The dried bud that is slightly over dry (but not too much) is only getting me so few hits. I'm also packing to the light.

I find that if I wait less than 20 seconds between draws, no cloud comes out.

I also been (and previously was) doing a relatively coarse grind to no effect.

I tried the screen on top. With both coarse and fine grind. Only slightly improve draws or clouds.

What are other people getting? I would be super psyched if I could get 15 to 20. That be INCREDIBLE. 30 - 40 would be a fantasy.

I think you and marime have defective units unfortunately - I have been using the hell out of mine and have none of these problems. Also - I only wait about 5-10 seconds between hits and get nice uniform clouds every draw.

The one problem I do share with you and others is (was) the loose lids. If you (or a friend) have access to a wood vice, its an easy fix. With the sliding lid in place (riding in its groove) place the end of the unit with the loose lid about a 1/4 inch into the vice (long-wise) and tighten the vice just a little past snug and the lid will be tightly "machined" into place.

@Girlwithamasterplan When I did my Vapormax V review I used some of the freshest sour D I could find. I found it in the burgh.
IMO this vaporizer does perform best with fresh medicine. I've never used dry medicine, but I'm sure it would be along the lines of what you stated.
However, you say it looks like your arizer ABV at 245C-475F. The temperature is a set temperature. I tested 8 units and they were all between 374-378F so your ABV should still be useable for edibles.

I tried using the extra screen with and without the stock metal screen. They both get clogged the same and IMO the extra screen isn't worth the trouble, just use the stock setup.
Is your medicine high or low quality?

@DrMantisToboggan and all others with loose lids. Pull the lid off and try flipping it around 180 degrees, or try swapping the top and bottom. Also taking the lid off and pushing it down on a hard surface helps (you'll understand when you pull the lid off).

The vice trick I came up with remedied my problem with the lid being loose - so much so that at first it was almost too tight. Now with some use it seems to have seated perfectly.

I noticed being a plastic lid, the ambient temperature plays a roll in whether the lid is tight or loose as well.

Both , kind-a like the solo, but with a bit more conduction to convection ratio , IMO..

Solo is better with the clouds for sure.. It is a pretty low temp vape, although sometimes i get my herb really dark if i wait 20 sec before in-between the last few draws.. but imo this doesn't justify the wasted battery life on it ... Doesn't require much cleaning , but for sure there is oil condesing u might want to reclaim..
For me this is a vape that won't make u cough unless u want this really really hard ... (it can do for sure,just me - doesn't have the nerve.. nor the desire to draw big without water filtration..)
It is ideal for vaping while walking, cause it doesn't interferes with your breathing process as much as thick vapor giving devices.. Also the prolonged experience (slower ride) gives you the opportunity to quit anywhere along the road in case you want to conserve medicine or are overwhelmed by the effects..
I wouldn't recommend this vape to a user that wants a quick bake and knock off your socks in 2 seconds high . But i would recommend it to people who like to enjoy their herb as long as possible and keep the taste as long as possible

You get out what you put in.
Good fresh medicine gives great clouds.
It's as easy as cleaning a PnP bullet.
You could compare the clouds of the vapormax to the PnP on setting 1 or 2.
It is very smooth tasting, easy to clean, has a long lasting battery, and is a breeze to use.
You won't get SOLO clouds, but being a conduction vape, it gives very impressive clouds especially at the 390ish temperature setting.

still luvin this thing and I'm beating it, dropped a few times, crawled on the floor a couple looking for the lid that flew off...put back on...squeezed the very edges carefully to end that issue...I'll bet every bit of an once of various top shelf has gone through this thing, STILL working great.

You can pull the removable screen and the ceramic out of the mouth piece and it draws great. You can take out the round screen and leave the ceramic, with the right small paperclip straightened out will fit the existing holes in the metal ring and ceramic perfectly. They all line up so you can poke straight through all of it if you need to. So much lower maintenance than the PAX it's not even funny.

That little LED after a while will get so yellowed that whatever annoying light that was shining through the holes busting you will end.

I have kind of an odd job, 4 hours a night. 45 min on / 15 off. I can load it once and go take a couple hits each break then turn it off until I come back next break and fire it up again just fine.

The convection component of the unit seems more than I would have guessed. You work it harder and the smoke will get thicker not thinner and you can just about cough up a lung if you ain't careful. I've seen it spank more than one person that got a little over enthusiastic. I haven't seen it burn anything yet and I haven't seen it get worked so hard that it started to cool.

The $8 black mouthpiece would be nice but the $12 shipping for a total of $20?....bummer.

I wonder if a Magic Flight Water Whip or a similar could adapt the Flowemate with ease to a water pipe.

Anyone using a water pipe with the flowermate?

I know some use f-bomb glass, but that´s pricey for me since i already have a glass water pipe and only need the adapter.

The mouthpiece fits in most slides. Just stick it in.

I was just thinking that for the mouthpiece to connect to the water pipe, the flowermate had to be upside down and that would affect the "baking" of the herbs.
Would be nice to have the flowermate standing while using a water pipe.

Upside down makes no difference.

Water pipes + undense lowtemp vapor = a lot of condesation and taste loss..
If you use filstration make sure it has lowerst volume and water lvl possible

Pheraps a very small glass water pipe. Can get those for cheaper then f-bomb for sure. Just trying to find solutions to take the most of it.
