MFLB upgrade

The MFLB was the first vaporizer I've ever owned, and I've been using nightly it for 9 months. The only other vaporizer I've used (briefly) is the silver surfer. I'm looking for an "upgrade" something that doesn't require constant trench flipping and something that will hit harder. By hitting harder I mean that it will take less hits to get high. It takes about 2 mflb trenches to get me where I want to be, and it just ends up taking too long to do so. The only thing keeping me from hitting it "faster" is my throat getting irritated, (not from misuse or overheating, just me). Another thing that bothers me is that it requires a refined technique to get good results, not very convenient when I'm with friends. So, portability isn't a big issue, just looking for something that hits hard, easy to use, not a whole lot of maintenance, oh and i forgot, I would like to conserve as much weed as possible! I've been searching this forum/the internet for quite awhile, and can't seem to find a solid answer. Everyone recommends different products, some say a certain product is the best at something while others say it sucks. I would like to keep it under $200 as well. Thanks for any advice!

Do yourself a favor. Buy an Airizer Solo and start there.

It's a huge leap forward from the MFLB

....actually, it seems the most common answer on this site right now for portable vapes has been the solo. I wish I had gone for the Solo, but I couldn't get over how ugly it looked. Don't judge a book by it's cover!

You say you used the Silver Surfer briefly, but to me it seems unclear how that went, exactly. But, keep in mind, I'm always drunk and stoned, at slightly varying levels, so just bear with me.

I assume that if it had went splendidly, then you'd have already bought an SSV as your upgrade, but maybe it is too expensive?. So was it the price, the lack of conservation, etc...?

How much herb, ideally, would you be willing to go through per week?

Do you want to hit through water?

The more specific you can get about your herb habit, the better.

Sounding like a log vape maybe though...

I enjoyed the ssv but didn't buy it because of the price. I don't care if I hit through water or not. While I do smoke nightly, I'm a novice smoker with not a whole lot of knowledge about it all. I couldn't tell you how much herb I want to go through on a weekly basis, I just want to conserve as much as I can. I know it's all very vague, which is probably why I can't find a solid answer

I'm not an expert but I have a strong opinion
If price is an issue maybe look into Da Buddha (DBV). It has the same heating element as the SSV but in a less expensive housing. Though it still could fail on the conservation side of things.

Might I also suggest an E-Nano. It's got a big ol' heater in it and will definitely keep up with you. You will probably have to stir a little. But if you want it all in like two hits, then I'm going to use the C-word and call @Caligula and he can tell you all about his two-hit method (or whatever the fuck it is :D).

Great for conservation.

You can look into an Underdog too, but I think the Nano might be a good fit here.

Also, you mention your throat getting "irritated" in your initial post. The Nano just happens to hook up VERY easily to a pipe to make the whole process easier on your throat. You don't need any fancy glass or major diffusion like you do with smoking. A nice cheap beaker will do the job, really.

Fits your price range too, especially with the FC discount... I think it's even on MassDrop right now...

But, that is just my opinion. Others will offer more ideas.

I own an Arizer Solo... I think it was a great upgrade to my MFLB...

If I were to have done it again, I'd consider getting the eNano, but thats only because my solo doesn't get much portable use, and the eNano looks gorgeous, heats up faster, has a bigger bowl and less draw restriction.
Extreme Q seems great too.

If you wanna stick with portables, get the arizer solo.
Once you use the arizer solo you see why its recommended so often. Its a device made with a purpose.

You could also decide on going a very different route and buy a lotus vape and a nice recycler.

You give up easy. SSV price too high? Get a DBV off eBay for under $150- same electronics as the SSV and nearly the same hits.
