I doubt too.
I´m happy with the FM. It's confortable. But if you want quality, buy a good one.

The quality seems to be there for what i want. A vaporizer to carry out without being too scared of taking a bump. For the price, cant beat it (and can beat it too).
What i wanna know, and i´m sure many more want to know too, is if it´s safe or not. That simple!

From the photos we all saw before, does anyone conclude if it could be harmful?
Maybe i´m just being paranoid... but just because you´re paranoid doesnt mean they´re not after you ; )

Didnt want to reply to myself, but...

mod note: ...and now you aren't! Posts merged.

A few questions to whom may answer:

Can i vape a little bit, pause, turn off device and continue with my vaping hours later? Will my herbs maintain or degrade?

When you vape 10 minutes straight, the Flowermate turns off autmaticaly, but for how long till you can resume?

From looking at the photos, it seems that the air does come through the small holes on the unit. The air should flow where there is least resistance, correct? Since the rest of the unit is contained, the holes would supply the air and it should flow under the bowl, which is where some electronic components are located. Should those components fail, you may have a problem. Most likely it's a non issue as there are many vapes that take this approach, but just be observant.

Thank you Kaptan!
My only experience with vaporizers prior to this was a mflb clone, still useable, but this is the upgrade i´ve been looking.
I´ll be observant as you recomend.

Did you remove the ceramic filter from the mouthpiece?
Pull off the white silicone, and remove the small white 1/4 inch top hat-shaped object.
If you have already and you're not getting satisfactory clouds, nor extraction, and it's uncomfortably hot to the touch, I would see about returning it for an exchange.
I barely touch my Pax now. I ordered two FMs for friends and their units are performing as sweetly as mine. If you like your Pax, you should be happy with this unit or I'd guess it's malfunctioning.

Hope that helps, good luck, and welcome to FC.

Thank you for the welcome. And the quick answers so I finally found the ceramic filter, removed it and I am getting better clouds. Still not as big as I see online with the videos but better than the pax. I'm only getting five draws from it instead of the many draws I see online - with a packed chamber and pretty spent ABV - similar to 245 C on my Arizer Q but with worse extraction. Any other tips for improving extraction?

Yeah, I liked the pax for the form facctor but it kept on breaking (received as gift w/o receipt) and the clouds were tiny..

Also, in response to Zoryon, bought it on ebay. $ 75.00 total price. I couldn't find it much cheaper. Hopefully this one works a little better and I'll buy it for friends. I didn't find it for much cheaper.

Had my FM a few days now and i am enjoying it. Very easy to use.
Soaked my mouth piece in iso and coconut milk so no rubber taste , taste is good.
Getting decent clouds and its medicating me plenty :)
I find its taking me 1.5-2 , 10min sessions consecutively to completely vape my herbs , full oven.
Herbs are thoroughly browned , on a par with my extreme q on 220c in my opinion.
Been stirring my herbs once or twice defo helps even vape throughout bowl.
vapour is warm but not hot , seems milder than my extreme q , i aint coughing :)

Getting 9-10 , ten minute sessions out of battery

Now the negatives.

The tiny screen at the bottom of the mouth peace gets clogged really quick
2-3 days use and i have to soak it in iso , gonna have to cut a replacement.
( removed the ceramic filter on day of arrival )
On the plus side the metal piece of the mouth piece is generating oil.

Draw is slightly restricted , wish i could replace the bottom oven screen , looks to be the same
as the tiny mouth piece screen just slightly bigger in size but tiny holes.
Or remove the inside of the mouth piece storage compartment....Looks to be under the oven?
But i aint that brave.... yet :)

I am not getting a green light on full battery charge , but after a couple hrs if i unplug
and plug in again i get the green light of a fully charged battery , annoying but not a deal breaker

And for what this thing costs 9 out of 10...

Time for bowl me thinks ....

Seems we're getting the (no) green light bug here also. But battery capacity is quite good indeed.

I think you may be grinding too fine. Try a medium/coarse grind loosely packed to the top of the ceramic wall (just below LED) this should produce better results.
Also the silicone mouthpiece tip will fit in most standard water pipes. Just pull out the slide and stick it in upside down.
The pinnacle 14mm water tool and the F-bomb work with it with no attachments. Just put it on top.

@Minging don't pack it so tight. Do not use the dab tool that came with it, Do not pack it.
Loosly med/coarse grind as stated above should help.
Over 50 chambers vaped through mine and the oven screen looks brand new.

You can easily get over 30 hits per oven with fresh herb (I got 40 hits before). The key is to keep hitting it once or twice after you shut it off if you haven't finished the chamber (that draws heat out of the oven and preserves your herb).
Pull the mouthpiece out, blow, scrape brush(when cooled) the metal screen shut the lid and shake it up to mix the herb.
Round 2 will be ready.
IMHO I found this vape needs to be packed loose (just pour in and tap the side) for best results and bigger clouds.
Key word being fresh. If it is dry this will still work much better but you will get less hits.

Prepare to take your mates to higher clouds....:science: Place a (solo sized) fine screen on top of finely ground herb, YES finely. It should fit snug on the lip below the LED. I had much improved taste and visible clouds. Also the mouthpiece screen takes many more bowls before it clogs.

Going to try this tomorrow - I noticed that the mouthpiece screen, even with a medium grind/chop, fouls almost immediately slowing the draw. Your screen trick should stop this. I'm also going to drill out that upper 5-hole base disc on the mouthpiece - this really seems to be a bottleneck!

restrictive draws are usually there to not let the oven/herb get (too) cold from the air flow.
doesn't this apply to the flowermate too? (haven't got mine yet)

Are you referring to the ceramic piece?

No - I scrapped that piece from the get-go

I'm talking about the 5-hole disc just above the screw-off base of the mouthpiece that contains the screen. Take a draw threw the mouthpiece as a whole - then take a draw with the silicon mouthpiece by itself held up tightly against the screw-off base of the mouthpiece that contains the screen, eliminating the middle metal fitting that joins the two containing the 5-hole disc - big difference.

I thought someone mentioned a black mouthpiece but I can't find one? The white stands out too much in public.

Well something is wrong with mine. It randomly started to burn through bowls much faster. Then it started having this really nasty taste randomly towards the end of the session. Now it just torched through a bowl in less then a minute, then immediate nasty taste. Lasted about a month? I'm trashing the thing and ordering a solo or something.

At least contact whomever you bought it from, they may replace it or refund you.

It was ebay, so I'm doubtful I'll receive anything in return. I really enjoyed it while it worked though, but something about this product ultimately led me to feel uncomfortable. Not as uncomfortable as the taste I just had from this thing. What the hell could I have been tasting? Right when I got the unit the bowls would last forever, even when I blacked out the bud the first run or two, I never got that taste. Scares the shit out of me. The last thing I want is the unit getting too hot, and me inhaling something burning inside the unit... because that's what it tasted like. This could be a great starter vape, but not sure people should go this cheap route when starting out. I made the switch for health, but if something goes wrong inside the unit, no amount of bud combusted would be worth one hit of plastic, wiring, or whatever the hell could be burning up inside the unit. Maybe I'll try to take it apart and see if that's the case. I'm going to order a solo tonight.

You'll never know unless you contact the seller, what have you got to lose? I bought a couple on Ebay and some from China.
If there's a problem with the Ebay bought VM's within 6 months, i'd definitely contact the seller. ;)

@marime I've been using mine daily since May 6th and have had no issues.
I also got several for friends of mine and they use them much more daily than I do.
Perhaps you got a faulty unit?

Smiss has been in business since 2009, so they've been in the E-cig game for quite some time.
I wouldn't dismiss the vapormax just yet. You are the first of tens of thousands that I have heard of having a problem with the unit.

I ordered mine from Flower "who I posted a link to on this thread", and they do have a 1 year warranty. You should check into that.
Flower is awesome. Super helpful and very fast with shipping and replying to emails.
Here is the info for Smiss if it helps you out, you can live chat too:
http://www.smiss.en.alibaba.com/pro..._100_Free_combustion_Dry_Herbs_vaporizer.html

Hope this helps you out. I've taken mine apart and have no worries about the internals.

@Pain Here are also the black mouthpieces you were inquiring about. I thought I posted where you could get them some while back.

***EDIT IN***
@Pain I Just found the black mouthpieces. Here is a link to the store, they are $9 for the complete tip in black with the metal collar and screen. They have the unit listed with a 5200Mah battery. That is a misprint. The battery is 2600Mah:

Hopefully what's going on with mine is that the temperature control broke and and its getting too hot too fast. I really hope nothing internal is melting or something. Any directions on how to go about taking one apart? Thanks for the contact, I'll see if Flower can help.

I wouldn't take it apart, not if you're trying to get a replacement from your seller ;)
