Hello all!

I'm looking for a quality, portable, stealth vape for herbs that's relatively low maintenance and produces little smell.

I've tried the MFLB and didn't like it as it's not very stealth and fiddling with batteries isn't for me.

I've also got a Wispr, which whilst a decent vape, is a bit loud for stealth use.

I've researched the Pax, but haven't seen any info on smell. Plus it seems to be rather high maintenance, and their battery replacement scheme leaves a lot to be desired.

What else is out there that suits my needs? It's really difficult to separate the hype from the facts.

Thanks for the help.

JS.

What is the ISO about in the title?

They will all smell relatively similar. You more than likely want a "vape on demand" style vape if smell is a major concern. Also convection. That will let you take a single hit at the time. As much as I love my pax, it'll keep cooking the bud between hits, and is conduction so it'll smell more than you'd like.

You might REALLY love the firefly. I sure as hell do, I'd say its my favorite portable for herbs overall. Instant on demand hits. Then just release power and ghost your hit or use a smoke buddy. Pricey, but worth every penny IMO.

For a cheaper convection "instant on" hitting vape look at the firewood.

If you plan on using oil as well as bud, it'd be worth your money to get a thermovape cera IMO.

All some options for you to look into.

I'd wait for more reviews about the T-Vape 2.0 but the T-Vape isn't too bad with its micro usb charging but will only last 3 and half 10 minute sessions, but it can be used while charging.

The T-Vape 2 will have swappable batteries but still retain usb passthrough usage and charging. Taste is a good and clean but due to how clean it is you may be disappointed by how well the abv flavor stands out. Luckily you can mask the abv or ever herb flavor when out in public with oils. I use peppermint essestial oil its very strong but I haven't had other users who have tried it complain about the mint.

Had never seen that one.

You come up with it on your own or confuse the ISO in reference to isopropyl?

Or is it really famous and I somehow missed it interneting?

Well I know that the flowermate vapormax v is an on demand hitter.

From what I read in the thread about it.

Also the no smell for me really comes through with oils. So you might want to look into this.

I use oil oil and waxes such as crumble. Then I place them atop a coil tank on my ego battery and I am good to go. It is a small form factor and very discrete because of it.

I can even load the oil oil into clearomizers for easy consumption.

I should tell you though that it is not as strong as a dab.

In terms of strength I have found weed and oil to be the same, coil tanks to be slightly stronger and a dabbibg rig as the strongest. This is just what I have tried as a guideline through medicine of various strengths and I found it to hold, generally. There were a few exceptions.

So yeah OP hope you find what you are looking for.

what are the prerequisites for a discussion to end up there? sorry, as i couldnt understand, i got kind of uncomfortable, and hence my question
'Ask FC' is mostly used for 'what should I buy?' questions, and they're routinely closed, either because the OP never comes back to check on the thread, or because the questions's been answered or enough info has been supplied to let the OP know the appropriate vape thread(s) to read. Leaving these question threads open, long term, usually results in thread hijacking or the OP camping out in it and using it to get answers to any and all questions that may come up. Questions of general interest can remain open as long as the discussion stays on topic.

ISO is short hand for In Search Of. I guess you missed it along the way. It's been in use far longer than the internet has been around.

In this forum, I always thought ISO was short for Isopropyl alcohol.
I'm new here....I'll defer to you....

The FireFly looks interesting, and I'd never heard of it. Thanks for the heads up. Off to do more research. :)

EDIT: FireFly is a no-go due to the glass window that shows off the herbs in it. Not very stealth.

Put a sticker on it :p

Did you check out the firewood? That is more discreet I guess. IMO anything someone sucks on and exhales a cloud from is going to be pretty obvious, unless it is shaped like a pen. The cera is the closest and its like 5x larger than a normal ecig.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I did check out the Firewood, but I think it looks less discreet than the FireFly sitting on a table or some such. I'm more concerned with someone seeing it and figuring out what it is (hence not liking the window on the FF) than someone seeing me using it.

I can't think of any that are particularly convection, instant on, and discreet. The pax looks super discreet, it looks like a MP3 player, but the problem is its an always cooking conduction vape.

The Vaporgenie coil is pretty discreet if you're able to grab a quick moment to yourself.

Otherwise I still recommend the T-Vape while it's conduction it only heats the herb while your pressing the button. It's not as eye catching as an eliquids setup IMO, I recommend the short tube, but the 2.0 can goto four sizes.

Oh. Good to know then. I'll keep it in mind for when the topic doesn't involve isopropyl.

The Vapormax V is not an on demand hitter.

A user commented that it didn't burn his herbs when the oven was on and only did so when there was a hit being taken.

I thought that was an on-demand hitter.

I'll stop talking then.

Its an understandable mistake someone also temporary referred to it as a convection vaporizer for a bit and depending on who you follow your outlook may vary.

I own a Flowermate when the oven is on your herb continues to get vaporized, when you inhale you are inhaling vapor that has already formed or currently forming from the herb touching the ceramic heater.

Convection vaporizers are more capable of the on demand hitter name I feel. Also quick heating conduction vaporizers can be in this list, more manual conduction vapes than automatic.

Burns is a confusing term when a vaporizer does not burn and we are not looking for a product that does do that when it doesn't have temperature control.

I'm sorry but did you say you tried a MFLB and it wasn't stealthy? I don't think there is a more stealthy vaporizer out there. All vaporizers are going to smell at least a little and they're all going to look somewhat conspicuous. How much 'smell' it produces is going to depend on a bunch of factors such as how large of a hit you're taking, how much vapor you exhale, the temperature you're vaping at, the herbs you're using, and how the unit heats its contents. In my experience, conduction style vaporizers do tend to smell more than convection style vaporizers as the herbs are constantly in contact with a heated surface.

I would probably recommend the Pax just out of size and looks but that unit 'smells', too, and is also high maintenance. You don't like playing with batteries so forget about the ThermoVape products. What about the Inhalator? Have you checked that one out? I can't personally recommend it as I have zero experience with it but maybe it's closer to what you're looking for. Other than that I don't know what to recommend... Pinnacle Pro? Indica? Just throwing a few names out there in case you haven't heard of them.

The best portable stealth options, in my opinion, aside from a MFLB, are the pens that look like e-cigs, but they can only be used with oils, which I didn't see you mention. You might have a difficult task finding a portable herb vaporizer that is stealthy both in size and looks and produces little to no smell, seeing as we're vaporizing a very smelly herb. :2c:

Thanks for the suggestions. I've checked them all out. I'm leaning towards the Puffit-X as it's the most stealth of the lot. I think I can lump it's shortcomings, but I'm going to do a little more research.

As for the MFLB, it looks exactly like a pipe, which is far from being stealthy. Anyone seeing it will know exactly what it is. Additionally, I really didn't like fiddling with batteries. I can see how some people would like it, but personally I like a more elegant solution.

Don't lean to the Puffit for stealth, it's big and not that great of a vape. I personally feel it to be inconvenient just to buy a vape due to novelty form factor, you should want a vape that is exceptional at its job and looks good doing it.

I was under the assumption the T-Vape was one of the stealthiest. I now have the two and can vouch it's improves nearly everything the first did wrong.

The T-Vape looks like an E-cig, which are being severely restricted for public use where I live. I think for public use the Puffit would draw the least attention. Horses for courses and all of that. :)

I understand, in that case,

IMO anything someone sucks on and exhales a cloud from is going to be pretty obvious.

I'd rather have them think it was because I was stupid enough to use my ecig in public, the Puffit clearly isn't an inhaler when your near it. At least you wouldn't have to worry bringing up other suspicions.

But now it sounds like you shouldn't toke in public, it's illogical to think you'll be able to use a different vapor making device in public when any is illegal with the vapor you exhale people would assume its an ecig they come in so many styles.

It's just not common to putting t for plus 6 seconds and either not exhale or exhale random vapors.

Try using the Solo like this with a stealth adapter, when they are in stock from Planetvape. Who said the Solo is not stealth enough.
I've never seen ISO for in search of on FC.

You know us Solo Fans, we like to spread the word. My Solo smells the least of all my vapes. You are going to have some smell especially when your herb is just starting to heat up in any unit. You can use as little herb or as much as you want in the stem/mouthpiece. You could try using the Thermovape it looks small and stealth. Someone suggested a vape pen, that's a good idea too.
