Just got mine the vapor seems light but I do feel buzzed. I am only getting 50 to 60 minutes on a charge. How is everyone else doing on battery life between charges? Jeff

Yesterday I received my replacement unit after my first one stopped heating.
I have to say IV´s costumer service was excellent, I pm´d him over here and he just made things right and shipped me another unit asap.
With that being said, I will report back with the differences ( if any ) between this new unit and my previous one.
I did tried the battery yesterday, after full charging the device with the folowing results:
6 sessions on red, 1 session on green and 1 on purple = 80 minutes.
Cheers

I ordered mine awhile back, (first via massdrop, but then I cancelled that and went with vapor nation) and got it about a week and a half ago. Sadly I was still on a t-break due to job hunting.

Fast forward to last night, I started work on Monday and finally had the chance to give my new indica (and first ever vape) a try! I have to say, although I don't have much to compare it to, I was blown away by the taste. I did a full cycle of ten minutes on each heat level, got feeling nice and toasty, and then watched a movie with the fam. 'Twas a great night, and I can't wait to put the indica through its paces this summer! So far I am a very happy camper!

Alright, I'm looking for someone to lay out the cons of the Indica. I have read nothing but good things from it but what don't you guys like about the Indica? Does it get too hot? Is it herb efficient enough? Does the oven reek smell with herbs inside? I'm looking to upgrade from my MFLB.

The body gets very warm, not too hot to touch though in my experience, after extended sessions. I don't weigh my flowers, so efficiency is hard to judge for me as I use multiple vapes depending on the situation. I feel like my MFLB is *slightly* more efficient, but the flavor and temperature selection makes up for that IMO. I haven't had smell concerns yet, but mine is only a few weeks old. Seems to contain odor a bit better than a loaded MFLB. You do have to clean regularly. I like to clean mine every 2-3 oven loads to avoid any problems with vapor production. It is new enough that I don't think we have a real world sense of durability, yet. I think the stealth factor, lack of a replaceable battery, need to carry the pick, etc have all been covered pretty extensively.

I wanted to give my review/impressions of my replacement Indica. Quick story: had Indica for one month, loved it, it stopped heating randomly after a session, got replacement right quick.

ISO'd, dried, charged, 2 "burn-in" sessions on red while plugged in. Loaded it up and vaped on dark blue, level 2. Taste was very good with slight electronic flavor. Second session on green I could definitely taste electronic new car smell.

Tapped out oven, pipe cleansed, reloaded with fresh herbs (headband I believe). Vaped on dark blue, taste was excellent. From here on out I have not tasted anything weird. Sessions on green and purple, got so recreated that I had to shut it off.

Someone asked about taste qualifiers on Dr. Vape's reviews and I think I can elaborate. On Cyan and Dark blue settings with a fresh bowl, all you taste are delicious terpenes. If you exhaust the terpenes and then bump it up to green or higher you will not have that delectable flavor, however the vapor never tastes like burnt popcorn. I don't know how it does it, must have something to do with the even extraction. A session on red with just herb in the chamber tastes fine.

Enjoy.

I haven't tried my replacement yet (dropped mine badly after two months of heavy use and busted it, Mike overnighted me a replacement, fantastic customer service as always), but I ran an entire battery on red and couldn't get rid of that siliconey smell/taste yet into two more sessions now recharged. I haven't swabbed with ISO at all either, with my first unit I maybe did one burn off on red (if even, may not have) and it was 100% pure from start to finish (ie when I broke it), so this is new for me. Maybe I will try loading a bowl anyway and tough out the taste, maybe that will get me safely back into flavor country as well...

Will report back

MassDrop says all the Indica orders were shipped out today!

Tracking says mine left Kearny, NJ about an hour ago...looks like I may actually get to try out this Vape by the weekend. It's coming by USPS, so even if it's Saturday, I still should get delivery.

I'll let you guys know what I think about it after a session or three...:2c::nod:

I just received my Indica yesterday and I must certainly say I'm impressed. The style, very classy:cool:. The hold on this thing is super comfortable left hand or right so the ergonomics, spot on. The simplicity and ease of use are top as well.:D Loads can vary widely from smaller to packed with no issues and there is really no draw restriction.:) We'll see on the battery life, I usually do 10 min sessions on a conduction type vape. (load is usually spent by then:drool:) I'm at 3 and the battery indicator blinks white (fuller charge). ;) I did also get the new vape taste on the first 2 bowls (comparable to the OG Davinci) then took an uneducated guess :brow: and swabbed the inside of the mouthpiece with iso, then water, then dry and that did the trick.:rockon:I would only have one suggestion for the Indica.:worms:Glass line the inside of your mouthpiece. The only reason I suggest this is I recently purchased a new glass-lined plastic tip for my Pinnacle and that little stretch of glass made me Jordan 45 it!!:2c: Back in da saddle agaaaain!! :haw: Back on topic, that made the taste ten-fold better. Shit, I wonder if a glass blower can hook that up??!!!:hmm:

Re: mouthpieces: after perusing the E-nano, Ed's, and other wood threads I was getting serious wood envy. I envision a custom shorty mouthpiece that slides over the metal draw tube. The base connector would be metal (ss?) and the tip/mouthpiece would be wood (or glass). If someone reputable builds these I would buy one.

I thing a wooden stem is certainly possible, and it shouldn't need any metal, if its the right size it will snap in just like standard mouthpiece (that is how I envision wpa mouthpieces working as well)

Boy I'm liking my Indica more and more. I got 6 ten minute sessions, with 3 on green, 3 on purple, and finished at 4 on red. That is plenty of battery for my needs in a day, might have gotten another but I saw no need to deplete the battery that much so it's back on the charger. The taste is great now. After the clean all I can taste is the goodness. No more new vape taste. I ordered a travel Zippo case for it, pretty heavy duty plus a clear lid to display the goods:D

Can some of you folks, tell me some tips or how you been cleaning out your pathway, other than with the pipe cleaners?? I have tried cleaning the pathway several times with the pipe cleaners that came in the accessorizes bag and one that was just a hair bigger. I noticed after a good cleaning it seems to work a littler better but for maybe like one good session. And the next time it's back to one or two good draws then nothing. The thing that gets me is I can feel plenty of air flow coming throw when I take a draw but not getting hardly to no vapor.

I most always use a toothpick to clear the pathway as it can work better for that task oftentimes. The pipe cleaner has been more for actual cleaning of the build up in the tube, where as the toothpick just clears the path so you can get vapor again. It fits perfectly and can even be done while your in the middle of a session so you don't end up wasting too much while its clogged. Also you can use a cellphone flashlight to check to see if it shines through to the oven before you pack

You could try a toothpick as mentioned earlier by someone. (Right when I was writing this @Shit Snacks already mentions the same thing.) I don't know if that would help though since you already used the pipe cleaners, which should be better.

I have been using screenless, but I think I'm gonna like using a screen better. That could help you out if you aren't already using one.

I have to say I am really loving my Indica and when I have time, I want to write a review and suggestions that could make the vaporizer better. I also have a 2000 mah powerbank, which makes it awesome. One accessory I had in mind that was inspire by the powerbank was a vape battery case to expand the battery life. It would be similar to those Iphone battery cases.

Here is the powerbank I have . It also come with an led flashlight built in, which I use to check the airpath.

What was I gonna put here......
Sorry in advance if this is considered a worthless post but had to talk about this with people that give a fck or at least understand the excitement haha

My indica arrived today

Went through the steps that I have learned ITT and put it into action. Very pleased with the the results. I was really blown away reading through the pages at the cooperation between board members and the manufacturer to bring a fantastic product to the market. The hope is that this success will be seen by other manufacturers and they will follow suit and quality portable and desktop vapes will be the norm and not the exception. Great job @IndicaVaporizer and FC crew!

This portable is the real deal

:peace:

Personally I would not choose a Cera at all for dry herb, while I choose the Indica from among other Herbally oriented portables.
