It's definitely a different scale. Nano midrange is 6 - 6.5, so plenty of room either way and seems like dial keeps temp adjustments on a pretty straight line.

Also using much smaller loads in the nano, so that will change things up a bit too.

Thanks for the warm welcome, lol I know setting 2-3 sounds like im a light weight but it a very useful setting for being active during the day for pain relief. Believe it or not I still get visible vapor at that low of a setting.
I still like to hit it all the way up to 7 later in the day, even dry it doesn't bother me. probably because i went straight from combusting some harsh weed to the tasty smooth vapour.

The SOLO Dry = 3 or 4 depends on the cure of the flowers.

The NANO I like 6.5 Best and rarely do I go to 7.5.

Remember I chase flavor more than clouds. Sometimes my vapor is blue toned. Now the reason I don't chase clouds is because I would cough up a lung. I'm more of a sipper 10 rips per load. Others like 2 big ones. The main thing is were we both arrive!

I'm right there with you on chasing flavor and i like to start low and work up in steps just sipping away until i get the popcorn taste.

I paint my mason jars and add a 65% Boveda pack 8 grams x 2 One on bottom fill with flowers top with second pack.

This will keep your medicine fresh.

The NANO is a simple!
The SOLO is simple!

I like simple!

Remember cannabis is the "HOLY GRAIL"!

Going to have to try this. Really like those grey textured ones. Right now I just keep them vacuum sealed and in the dark.

At 6 I will get about 5 good draws out of the nano, by then the material is brown looking and popcorn tasting. I technically could get 2-3 more draws but its very unpleasant taste after the 5th deters me from doing that. When the taste is gone, I'm done.

Also remember that based on where you position your basket screen will change the amount of draws you get ie closer to heating element you will get less draws...I have easily cleared, extracted all material in 2 draws at 7 but almost touching the nano screen. Other factors also come into place like bud quality, the strength of your draws etc.

If my screen is a little bit too close I'll almost finish a load in one draw at heats as low as 5. Doesn't taste well though. I get a feeling that my unit is a little hot, 5 seems too hot quite often. Guess I still need to tweak more with the screen.

I just tried some hash rolled in cotton, screen pushed fairly close to the screen on the nano, so the cotton is sort of squished. Heat at 9, huge clouds that never stop coming. Fairly nice taste too, for a while at least.

Awesome. Hash is great and endless! Think I'm going to try vaping my first reclaim cotton tonight. It's getting all gold and gooey.

There's always been slight difference from nano to nano (dial to dial). But, don't recall reports of any that far off. Am guessing the new detachable cord may make that even more so.

Have you tried it lower than 5? Mine gives nothing other than sweet tasting hot air that low.

Just out of curiosity, have you checked to see if you dial is at 0 when off and at 10 (or close) when full on? Mine was off about 1/2 setting after cord replacement, but I didn't even notice for a month! :razz: If so, is easy to "carefully" pop it off and put it back wherever you like.

If I push the screen a little bit too close I'll get clouds at 4.5. If it's a little bit further out it's like yours. Mine seems to be incredibly sensitive to screen placement.

My dial is at exactly 0 when off and almost exactly 10 when maxed. I am a bit confused by people here talking about setting it to 11 though, mine physically stops at 10.

Anyways, I'm able to get great performance out of mine so far and when I get everything right I get some of the tastiest clouds ever. No complaints. :D

How do you guys manage the cable/temperature dial btw? That's the only thing that gets really annoying with my Nano, it's impossible to keep the temperature dial from moving around everywhere. My Nano fell into the trashcan cause of the cable/temp dial moving about, it was a sad sight and not a place for a Nano to be!

Jesus - I run my Nano at 7.25 pretty much all the time through a bubbler - I love the cloud production and taste is decent enough for me.

Yeah the temperature dial is a PITA for sure. I've been working on designing a 3d printed piece which clips over the temp dial to prevent accidentally changing the temperature. I've also added two 'feet' to hopefully keep the dial 'upright' more often.

I was following flotntoke's guide on finding sweet spots, started off with the screen 5mm from the heater and the temp at 6 like he suggested. Completely scorched almost the whole load.

I hope you'll let us know if your design turns out good, that sounds very useful. :)

Man this thread moves way too fast. I think my unit runs maybe a bit hot too. If I leave it turned on all the time then 5 can be way too hot. After 2 weeks of ownership I'm still completely blown away by it. I'm gonna have to get some glass to try that. It doesn't matter how hard you pull on it the vapour just keeps coming. So glad I came on here and asked. I always have weed now cause you literally cannot use as much as you usually buy. I'm at the risk of gushing here but I love this little lump of maple. All hail Andy!

My nano has hit the rug a cupla times and at the risk of sounding like everyone else it was the cable/temp dial that led to it falling. Dunno how it could be solved though. SORRY I never meant to post twice. My phone is a hunk o junk.

So now it looks like the Nano is up on massdrop for as low as $160 if 15 people commit to that price... I already ended up with the LSV as a water/party piece, but now I may have to take that Nano plunge with this great deal...

Quick question if anyone is using the glass bowl stems? I prefer using my Solo without ss screens so I was curious about these
