on another note, how can you say the evolution is better than the T1?? I can get pax sized clouds with mine but only tiny wispy hits with the evo..I've tried about 10 different techniques and none worked

Similar to my experiences with the Evolution. A couple of times I got great hits, most of the time I got nothing much more than a REALLY HOT Evolution. I tried more times than I cared to, and eventually packed it away.

I also have one beta LV/HP Evolution that will combust 90% of the time. I played with the challenge of getting hits without combusting, but that proved to be "no fun" after a while :)

So recently Ive been playing with 2 ceras and the LL cart and have discovered that the EVO likes the MFLB fine grind style as well. I am actually loving my EVO now and get good cloud production out of it with evenly vaped product.

If anyone is interested in ANY thermovape products I suggest doing a quick search on Ebay every day or so....I just scored ANOTHER t1 (white) with 10 batteries and all the accessories for 58 bucks shipped!

Queer in a high haze
I tried ebay, but I could never just find the LL top, or even the T1. I guess I will need to keep my eye out for it.

@llamaman001 - wait, what? good deal! so you are collecting t1s, huh? so do you find that you have to fill the evo all the way, how loose/tight do you pack? i am still tinkering with mine. at first, i really couldn't get it to work, then i had some success, but can't consistently replicate those results. anyway i put it down for a while so i can try again freshly, which seems to be a good tactic for me. my experience thus far sounds similar to what you were experiencing before, and @fogbank,
A couple of times I got great hits, most of the time I got nothing much more than a REALLY HOT Evolution. I tried more times than I cared to, and eventually packed it away.
but I am still determined to figure it out. enough people have reported that it works, and you apparently recently went from meh to loving it, so that's reassuring. anyway i was going to post about this in the evo thread, but found this conversation just now happening here. oh and i am going to try fine-grinding and see if that works...

EDIT: also @lesvape there are t1s currently on ebay

heres my tech for doing it. I like using the evo in the morning because it doesent get me STONED but i can feel all the effects in my head and I actually really like it. Ive been getting consistent results by grinding extremely fine and doing a few light taps to make sure everything is lightly pushed down but not shoved in and compressed. I like to fill it up until the "notch" that the o-ring rests on if that makes sense? Ill then hold the on button THE ENTIRE TIME. For the first initial pull I like to leave it on and wait for 15 seconds then begin a nice steady draw for about 15-20 seconds, I find this dries the bud out and get any remaining moisture as well. After the initial pull I then just RIP on the thing like there is no tomorrow with each hit. I normally get around 10 drags Id say for the bowl and blow out consistant clouds, Id say about half the size of my normal T1 hits.

I just have a deep love for thermovape products and am really kicking myself for spending so much time and money with other companies. You just cant beat em! Ill have to take a family photo of all my thermovape products for yall....the collection is becoming quite the site!

cool -- I've gotten advice from a couple of people, and read about technique on the EVO thread, so what I was doing is not unsimilar to what you describe, but I'll have to keep at it and synthesize all the advice into a technique that works for me, and try a finer grind. I feel you about Thermovape products, they were the first vapes (and company) I came across that really piqued my interest, and even though I wanted a desktop, I kept almost pulling the plug on a Cera (what I actually ended up getting was an UD and then some first generation Thermovape products quickly followed). My love is unwavering, if somewhat unfounded since I haven't gotten the EVO to work to it's potential, but I think it would even increase if I can get a better grasp of the EVO. Yes, please share a photo of your vast collection :)

Ill take some pics tomorrow for ya for sure man! Yea the first times I tried the EVO and the following times after that I was completely disappointed, but now that I have my tech down its actually pretty nice to just be able to rip something like that and get some nice light/medium hits out of it.

I agree, the opera is by no means over. I'm not even sure the fat lady is suited up.......

OF

Late response but, I doubt the fat lady has even finished bulking up yet!

Once the T1 tech gets simplified/stupid-proofed for the everyman then we'll be cooking with (non-combusty) fire.

I'll even wager that their eventual hat throw into the mainstream will coincide with vape culture's inevitable leap into the forefront of classy cannabis culture. The CCC, if you will.

(my t1 has a hold of my tongue here, heh)

Where would one obtain an ac power supply for the T1? I originally thought the insulated adapter interface was the power supply but I guess the power cable plugs into the bottom of the T1? Never ever seen this before.

I think TV still has a pile of them, you might try them? They no longer have the adapter parts.

Otherwise, it's 6 Volts at 4 Amps (or more IIRC), polarity not important (in fact AC will work fine). That's what I recall, but it doesn't seem high enough power wise? 24 Watts, but I recall the T1 being 30? I can't find mine right away, can someone else confirm this? TV should be able to if you contact them?

Contact vapor envy.they still have power adapters I think they run 70 to 100.they will take Paypal as well...I absolutely love mine!

LOL @ this T1 ripoff? What the hell is this thing? It shows 2 other adapters for it as well on the box but I just cant tell...it sure does have a MASSIVE pancake coil though

Bummer. Hard to test after they're loaded......

Crumbly wax should do fine if it passes the foil test. For a while I was using a LOT of very nice SD wax from the local dispensary. It had some residue and fouled slowly, but was just lovely to vape. I didn't mind loosing the occasional .25 grams in cleaning.

Wish I could get this to happen . And i could stand to loose the .25 to occasional cleaning but not .25 of every .50

Very tough call, but if it's contaminated concentrate putting good stuff in on top is 'throwing good money after bad' as they say. And a third of a gram will get us back to the original 'not really enough for serious sessions point?

What about this?

Something is definitely off because I just load .1 at a time with great results. Never did the "base" thing either but I usually have great luck without running into problems and things working the way they should.

Sorry to be too cryptic, WT is Water Tool. Some sort of water pipe. The Cera top is designed to mate up with the standard (14 and 18mm) connector sizes. The water takes some of the harshness out, cools the vapor and traps some of the waxes and junk. Small ones are often called 'bubblers', there's a cheap glass thread worth reading, the "F Bomb" and "Pinnacle Water Tool" are also common favorites. I kinda like this guy:

I thought that is what you meant just was not sure and I actually paired the Cera with my bong 18mm for one or two hits and its great was even thinking about getting another . But I cant afford it if I have to blow so much wax .

What are you putting in it?

Yes, it's counterfeit. I have the Revolution version from the same maker. Different materials and construction but the parts (like say the switch) interchange. It didn't function right (wrong materials) but after stripping it down, TV fixed that part for me.

The batteries are all wrong, unprotected Li Ion not LiFePO4, truly scary in this application. They, like the BS charger are best safely disposed of.......

If you do a search for "zoly" posts from me you can read more about it than I bet you want to know.

Question: How well does Pure Gold work in Dart/Rev? Would it be more suited for an AVA RES?

IMO entirely too well. Not only is the stuff (sometimes) hard to find, and quite expensive, but I can't leave it alone. Like opening a bottle of fine scotch, opening the vial is going to lead to consumption like a big dog.

Turn back, save yourself, it's a trap......

IME stuff like Pure Gold and CO2 concentrates and other liquidy hash oils are fantastic in the Revolution. Shatters work as well as other oil forms but putting PG/CO2 in it when it's warm (say a bit after a hit?) seeps down into the ceramics faster/better than shatters. Shatter/wax/budder works just as well but I prefer CO2's, especially since they come in syringes for super easy dispensing.

Funny you should mention that, I like the syringe (and fat, bent needle) so much I load grams at a time in 3cc syringes. I cork 'em up with a piece of round toothpick.

Brand new T1 with everything it originally came with going for about 86 SHIPPED on ebay....3 hours left...just thought Id give a heads up for anyone that was wanting one.

Cool. I've noticed that there is major variation in how these units are priced, both in the classifieds and on Ebay -- you can get a steal like that, or pay double for a used model. Anyway, @llamaman001 - I just remembered that you were going to post photos of your collection...

just like to add that I would have bought Cera cores and given TET more business if they had made it possible to connect to the first line gear, by creating an adapter... I feel they missed a lot of business by neglecting to do this. I imagine a lot of other folk with original gear would feel the same way. :2c:

I feel exactly that way. I feel they abandoned their first generation of customers when they promised reverse compatibility forever and immediately released the cera with different threads.

ditto for me. No doubt Bill Shakespeare will be by any moment to add an artful diatribe as to why we're wrong - good thing for ignore setting . In addition to the quotes below, I recall a TV tech video in which Nate Terry reiterates his philosophy of future compatibility throughout the entire product line. Broken promise, undeniable.

Everything we make will build off of the ThermoVape, it will be purpose built to improve and enhance the ThermoVape device. The ThermoVape is the foundation, the core technology, everything we do will build from it.

We view this as the ultimate value proposition to our customers. If you own a ThermoVape, you own the foundation. We are committed to building off that foundation. This is part of our core philosophy. [snip]

That commitment will benefit you guys, as everything we do will build from the ThermoVape.

That's the beauty of a modular system, everything we make is cross-compatible. Our Evolution Kit can be converted into a T1, Revolution, Liquid Vaporizer/e-cig with our AVA atomizer.

It all goes together, that's why we adopted the most common thread pattern in the industry. Flexibility, with a ThermoVape device you are not locked into a single mode of vaping.

Is there any chance there will be an adapter to allow the cera essential oil heater core and mouthpiece setup with our pre-existing 510 battery configs?
Yes. We will make these if needed. We have offered this option to a few other small companies in America trying to get into the e-cig adapter business. If they dont want to we will. Piece of M510 to F3/8ths and F510 to M3/8ths. Open source platform.

It was actually directed to @llamaman001 - he was the one who was converted from having a similar experience to you (and myself) to getting it to actually work well for him. I see how it reads as confusing... it seems like I switched to talking to you, but I was still talking to llamaman, just quoting you because you described my experience with the evolution well...

On page 105 of this thread, there's talk of someone wanting an aluminum case for their T1 or T1/Revolution.
Did anyone ever find a fancy case that fits the T1??

I love my Evo SV, if you don't like yours, send me one:lol:

What is the HP/SP evo?

Edit: my evo had trouble this last weeks each time I want to start a session it didn't fire, I need to switch batteries several times (I have 2 pairs and I must to mixed it to be able to fire) before it works again....Maybe my batteries are dead? or the heating core?

I think the better will be to order some news batteries, is it better to store the batteries fully charged or not?

Thanks for your reply
