Discontinued Indica Vaporizer

@Tony Hemp, As best as I can see from your picture, this is insulatory wrapping, not a wire. It's a thin gauge around the chamber and unfortunately mildly exposed. We have a tight tolerance and as we continue to mature, the tolerances will be more forgiving to overlap these imperfections. This will not affect odor or performance.
The first model I received doesn't show a single bit of yellow. I see the clearish cloudy colored sealer or gasket that seals everything off. But on my new model I can see this yellow which looks like a wire because it isn't flush or the same all the way around. I saw it before running the unit and it was bright yellow like a yellow wire, now after doing dry runs it's darker and has a shiny sheen on it almost like a melt. I understand it being a new company and everything, I just want a functioning unit that I can rave about flavor and everything like all the other satisfied customers on this forum.

MassDrop said on the 6th that the Indica's had been shipped to them. Today, they are saying that they should receive them next week. Not sure where they are coming from...China?

Guess I won't have mine for Father's Day...it's been tough not having a portable for a while now. Hopefully, I get this sometime next week. Really am looking forward to trying an Indica out.

While MassDrop is often a good deal you have to accept the fact that its a slow process. Fastest I've had was 2 weeks and the longest 6 weeks to receive it after the drop closed.

Yeah...I went in with eyes wide open. I've ordered other things from MD. Over all, I have no problem with waiting for items that I get to save a bunch of money on.

I was just musing over how it looks like it will take close to two weeks for the shipment to arrive at MassDrop before they can turn around and deliver them to us. Just wondering where they were shipping from...

The pisser on this one was it went on sale in a couple of places at near the drop price after the drop closed. Close enough that I'd have probably preferred to go ahead and get it then as wait for MD.

So it goes.

Yea it seems could be defective? I just know mine seemed to taste great right out of the box, I didn't even do any burn offs on this one I think? Can't even remember anymore, but I definitely never had that metallic taste some have reported, or anything out of the ordinary. I've been primarily located in flavor country throughout

You're a lucky man. I'm on my 2nd one in less than a week and they both are terrible. One tastes like melting plastic and the other has exposed wiring that I can physically see melting and was putting out gas through the mouthpiece while I was doing dry runs. I'm gonna give indica one more shot to get it right, then if that doesn't work I'm getting my money back. It's ridiculous to spend all this money on things and it ships out in such a bad form. I'll never knock indica's customer service, it's quite possibly the best. But someone isn't testing these models or going after quality control. I taste nothing but bad flavor. My ascent smelled awful but it went completely away, this just gets worst again on my second one. I'm very disappointed, and I hope all you mass droppers have a better experience because I was about to do mass drop and saw it for $11 more on vapor nation with free shipping and free gifts so I went with it. I can't imagine waiting a month and then have these problems that would be a swift kick in the jewels. @Indica Vaporizer we may as well get another one sent out to me and figure out a way to send this one back.

Nobody else seems to be having experiences likes yours, or if they are they're not posting about them. Now you're implying—based on an isolated example—that the Massdrop buyers should be worried about quality. You've taken it too far. That's not fair to @Indica Vaporizer, who you admit has provided stellar service. Please stop posting about this problem until you have a resolution, good or bad. You've described your experience enough times already.

The only thing I notice my unit seems to be acting a little funny on is that, it almost always shuts off around the ten minute mark even if I've just taken a draw. I usually take my draws pretty close together, not one to let it sit idle for very long at all. But with just one click of the button it starts right back up with no problem.

And @Indica Vaporizer I don't think anyone has said it and sorry if they did and I missed it, not trying to be a copy cat. lol Have you guys thought of doing a similar model that more tall n skinny and call it the Sativa? Thought it was kinda a cool idea myself, but what do I know??

Had my Indica for a few days now. Ordered from Vapornation, my first order from them, good experience overall. For me, the first few hits are very flavorful, then pretty neutral after that. I think this will be my go to pocket vape for flowers going forward, replacing the MFLB. For me, the two negatives are the body does get pretty warm after extended sessions and lack of pick storage. It would have been great if pick storage would have been included in the lid since the pick is important to have with you. For the time being, I'm using the pipe cleaner trick to hold the pick in the lid. But that doesn't feel 100% secure to me. Definitely a fan of loosely filling the oven to the top, packing down with the spacer, filling to the top again, and then putting the spacer on top of the load. Thank you FC'ers for turning me on to another great vape.

That is normal. There is a 10-minute auto shutoff programmed in. You've already figured out the hack. ;)

:peace:

Oh my bad I misunderstood what the booklet said, I thought it would shut off if left idle for ten minutes. Like if you laid it down still on and forgot about it that it would shut its self off after being left alone for a duration of ten minutes.

Great call @c76man .Steady eyes on the Indica accessories page in the months to come should satisfy your storage requests. Appreciate the input.

I haven't implies anything. I states for my own purposes that had I waited a month to receive these defective units, I would be more dissatisfied than I am now. The fact that there's been great customer service is what keeps my faith in @Indica Vaporizer. I didn't post phantom pictures, you see for yourself the exposed wiring on my unit. Would you be ok with this? Especially seeing that it's starting to brown and melt, which I'll be more than happy to post pics of it. This is a forum for information and I'm posting my back to back experience. Should I be silent about that? Or is this a forum where you just say what's good about it bs don't inform about the negatives. In an effort to show that I'm on indica's corner, for everyone with their vape pick storage problems. Buy an adhesive mini magnet and stick it to the inside of the lid, problem solved. I know what I'm talking about here and if I pay quality money for a product, I expect a quality product. With all due respect.

Another moderator has sent you a PM explaining the FC policies and rules, but for the benefit of those following along, I want to point out that the FC policy on complaints or disputes with a vendor or manufacturer is that you can post about your problem once, but further posts are not allowed unless they provide more information or answer a specific question:
  • Please do not revisit an issue unless you have helpful information or constructive comments to add.
  • Use of the forum to blackmail companies will not be tolerated.
  • Posts in this regard will be evaluated based on perceived intent.
Accusing FC of suppressing negative information is unfortunately a popular response to requests to follow these rules, but it is inaccurate and unfair. It is difficult enough for us to balance fair comment and using the forum to shame a company in order to get what you want.

Also, when you receive direction from a moderator, a public response is a bad idea and actually against the rules:
  • Public discussions of staff decisions are not permitted on the site. If you have any concerns or queries relating to a staff decision please take it up in private with a staff member.
Since you haven't been given a warning, you already know that we don't have a zero-tolerance policy on this, but it is something to keep in mind.

Ok pakalolo I get it man. My two separate incidents with two different problems counted as one in your eyes. I will no longer have anything to say about the indica whether it be good or bad. I'm getting a refund and moving on from the product. But I'll be PMing you very shortly

Just got my replacement Indica in the mail. Everything looks good and I am waiting for it to dry after an ISO swab. Will charge and test/burn-in shortly.

The only thing that looks different is that the mouthpiece has what appears to be a copper colored coating on the inside and I don't recall the old one having this.

I would really appreciate it if someone could and would help me do some trouble shooting here.... I can't figure out why or what I may be doing to cause such an issue... I've had mine for about ten days and it's been getting LOTS of good use!! Until last night it's been working fan-fuckin-tastic!!! But now it seems when I pack a new chamber load I can only get one or two good draws and then nothing. But I can feel good air flow coming through, if I give it a stir don't really seem to matter. If I got something small to stick into the pathway it seems I can get another good draw or two and then nothing again. I've cleaned it really good more than once now, cleaned out the chamber really good, cleaned up the mouthpiece, and cleaned out the pathway. To give a little reference ... I tend to start on dark blue(Blue) for two or three good taste, then up to green and after a stir up to purple. But now with the issue I seem to be having, I don't get a thing from dark blue, but when I get it up to green I can manage to get one or two good draws. Anyone got an idea to what may be going on here.

Have you tried checking the vapor pathway is clear with a cellphone flashlight to be sure? And try running on red to loosen up an potential clogs perhaps.

Alternatively, how much are you putting in? I don't think it is necessary to stir at all, so maybe that is having an ill effect?
