Hey, anyone have experience with the ophos being a piece if crap? Every time I press the button, it just flashes three times. Dude from vapor warehouse said that some people have issues with the battery's connection, and you have to loosen the cartridge a bit. Well it's so loose that it's practically falling off, and I can finally press the button and it won't flash, but then there's no connection to the cart, and I get nothing.

Yes there's a warranty, but it's gonna cost me 30 bucks service fee plus 10+ bucks for shipping. I only paid 55 for the thing. This is super frustrating because I did nothing wrong other than receive a crap product and try to use it, and now I'm gonna have to spend almost as much money as I just spent.

Please tell me I'm not the only one with this issue. Oh wait, I know I'm not. I bought two, one for my friend as a gift, and hers has the exact same issue.
You have a one year fee free warranty with your reciept. Please read our warranty page for the address. The service fee is after a year or with no proof of purchase.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but in the past, the Omicron Lite was just below the Omicron, as it had better electronics than the O-Phos (older.) Now the O-Phos is updated and is better than the Omicron Lite, and with the new Minicrons coming out, Is the Omicron lite going to be Upgraded to be better than the O-Phos once again, discontinued, or something else?

Any chance of a dual coil KISS cart being created?

We have toyed with this idea since 2010, haven't had a need for it since it's super kill on the oil. Your not only vaporizing it but also burning, not only that but the stress on the batteries.

Never know we might put it out but well see.

@DaNi_DuB The Minicron Lite has a 350 mah battery, the Minicron a 650mah battery and the Ophos and Omicron lite have the 900mah battery. Hope this explains it all.

Hey, that was happening to me when I first bought it. The issue is that you screwed the cartridge on too tight. I ended up doing this too many times and now my original O-Phos cart doesn't even work. At one point I had to hold it on the battery to use it. It's not fun having to use 2 hands to vape.

It's not a crap product, I just think that the way it was designed was frustrating. I want a tight and secure connection to the battery. I have been using my other omicron KISS cart with it and it has been working fine.

I believe this is a common issue with ego style batteries, the centre pin gets pushed down too far, preventing contact with the cart. The new 2014 Ophos model has borrowed the self adjusting centre pin from the Hercules design to fix this problem.
You could try fixing this yourself:
I wouldn't use a metal tool, maybe a wooden skewer.

We decided to use a cap to make sure the USB port does not get dirty and malfunction unlike the others on the market that have the USB out in the open.

When the port gets dirty and malfunctions, what kinds of symptoms are there? I was wondering if that might that be the cause of an issue that just started happening for me tonight.

I have one of the newer O-Phos pens. When I plug in the battery to try and charge it, I get a flash of red light and then nothing. If I pull it out and push it back in, the same thing happens.

I've had the unit in the charger for a while now (without the red light), and when I try and depress the button, the blue light does not come on, and the coil does not heat.

I tried cleaning the contacts, making sure the cartridge was not on too tight, and tried raising the center pin like in the video (gently :)

Nothing seems to work. Any ideas about the quick flash of the red light and the possibility of the USB port being dirty?

Possible you are charging with the cart on the battery? I swear I read somewhere it's recommended to charge without the cart attached...

Would a Kanger Mini Pro Tank 3 work on an ophos? From what I've read in this thread, the ophos does have ego threads, but with a 601 inner thread.

I don't have an ophos yet, but considering getting one if it works with the mPT3.

I know that a special 601 threaded PT2 is offered on w9tech, but want the newer design and smaller form factor of the mPT3.

@KINetics The Kanger Mini ProTank3 (one generation ago) and Kanger Aerotank Mini (current generation) will work on an Ophos using a 601-510 adapter, but it will not look as slick as a native 601 attachment.
