OK.... I have looked at this site for quite a while when getting the itch for a vaporizer, and I think I am finally ready to go for it. I am of the mindset that if I am going to get something that I am going to use multiple times a day, I want it to be the best.... I have come to realize the best is highly subjective when it comes to vaporizers.
I have come down to Herbalizer, EVO, or Sublimator.... Leaning toward the first two (as I have read some reviews saying the Sub starts to become a little less effective due to some kind of tolerance?)
Anyway, the EVO looks like it hits hard and I have read great things....
I have this feeling that the Herabalizer is "the best out there" though.... Whip, balloons, glass attachments, oh my!
Both are around the same price, and since its a hefty price tag, I figured I would make a post to the experts.... I have done a LOT of back reading, which has become overwhelming.

I've got a review a couple pages back that might help, but your post states you seek a hard hitting Vape, and I can verify Herbie hits harder than any i've tried and it maintains that "hard hitting" until your bowl is spent, no matter how hard/fast you hit.

Sublimator hits hard, but a lot of goodies are lost in the process, it go through a huge amount of material all while risking burn/fire, very longheat up time/cool down, not that good of flavor, and spotty customer support. Etc.
My Sublimator Apolo sits unplugged, in the corner.

I did read your review... one of the things that brought me closer to the Herbalizer, actually. I also was wondering what the best set up for hitting the Herbalizer out of glass is. I like the idea of attaching a whip to the herbalizer and connecting it to a bubbler or something. (It just seems like it really starts adding up in cost since I will have to get the attachments, and the glass bubbler. But I think I would really enjoy this!)
Awesome! I am working on a simple interface for this, using the stock whip. Will post if i have success. Also, Herbie is one smooth hitter! At max temp, the hits are far smoother than any of my other units.
For glass, search for the d020 bubbler. Very popular (in cheap glass thread and solo thread).

Recreational and medicinal, but mostly recreational... Love joints and occasional blunts... don't like how much that costs, financially and health wise. Trying to switch that habit for both. My wife and I smoke a lot.... like anywhere from 3-10 joints in a day... usually 3-5, and maybe some bowls as well.
My whole family actually smokes... so at the time we are living with my parents... Every night all 4 of us smoke, and sometimes there are more around, too.
I also am starting to like concentrates at night, just to get knocked out...
That pretty much sums it up!

From the sound of it the cloud evo might be better for your use. Its more of a social vaporizer from what I understand. Herbalizer can be a social vaporizer if you utilize the balloons
Yeah, that's my first goal of any mod, that the parts are easily obtainable and work with standard 18mm or 14mm sizes.

While the social aspect is a part of it... this will be a long term use item for mainly my wife and I... before year end we will be living just the two of us... and I figure the whip or balloons are social enough for when other people are with us, so I'm not too concerned about that aspect...

While I can't defend their warranty support and other issues, I can say that my sublimator 1.0 is quite efficient when using it dry with the launchtube. On the downside (especially compared to herbie), the shutdown timer combines with the long heat-up time to make quite a small window for actual vaping before the need to reset the controller. It's been an interesting experience to own one, but once you completely rebuild the fucking thing (almost done, just need to make a reclaimer), it works like no other vaporizer.
The sub's main strength is full extraction in a single hit
The sublimator's efficiency does go out the window when you use it through water though,
because it gets so smooth you can take hits of damn near unlimited size

I recently took the EVO and Herbie to a friend's house and it was split down the middle when I asked which was their favorite. The reality is you will be satisfied with either one.

But there is no satisfaction quite like the Herbalizer....
Either way it might not be the tastiest, although close....it is so simple to use, that you feel like you are being fed vapor.. like a mother feeds a child in their baby chair. Could not be easier.

Talk of the easter egg reminded me of the coward that I am. I do not have the heart to punch buttons at random. After watching my Herbie switch between modes twice I felt like I was abusing it and had to give up.

I put the inner pronged part of the bag assembly in iso for a five minute ultrasonic bath and it turned white. I scraped off the white residue and gave it a hot water ultrasonic bath. Is it safe to use now?

This made me dust her off and fire, it up.
I noticed the white film too when using 91% iso. I used some 50 percent iso and there was no white film. I think its safe to use now.

Man, can't wait for Herbie to arrive. I keep checking the tracking info, but it hasn't updated since Thursday when it departed San Marcos. Did anyone else have a long gap with their tracking info updating? They said it usually arrives in 3 business days, but I'm not feeling too hopeful about getting it today given that the tracking hasn't changed at all.
Also, I've been digging back through this thread and can't seem to find anywhere that says exactly what the measurements of the bowl are. Are there any glass adapters made that fit perfectly over it yet and don't require the silicone fix that I've seen mentioned in several places? And if not, where is the best place to get that food grade silicone? Is it the silicone plastique that you are using?
