Hey I think I've been pretty battle seasoned and I still use my Solo. It's not bad by any means.
Not at all. All around its a great vaporizer.
Guys, I'm telling you, some people, like myself, aren't satisfied with the solo as a primary vape. I relapsed multiple times when I had the solo. Never when I had the nano. If I have the urge to smoke, I just go to a very high temperature and take a big hit. The solo I always used at 7. I felt the temperature wasn't high enough.

Snappo I understand building an arsenal. Which is exactly why I'm suggesting getting a real desktop now and a true portable later. Many would consider the solo stuck somewhere in between. I mean for many people its not a portable because its not pocket-friendly, unless you're wearing baggy jeans. So get the desktop that fit your needs now and then after you've experienced vaporization you can make a better decision about your portable needs. But experience vaporization at its best/fullest before compromising on a portable so as to not be deterred by the experience.

Again, this is just my opinion. This is what I would do if I had to start all over again.

@cawshook - Y'know, you make a damn good argument! I gotta agree - if what you want is a real good bare fisted vapor ass kicking right out of the shoot, get the E-Nano - it'll definitely put one flat on the mat well inside the first round! The Solo by comparison will also pack the punch and show you stars w/o a telescope, but with gloved fists:nod:. My first experience with the Nano caught me by surprise and knocked me for a loop. I've dialed it back since then!

@cawshook I can understand your point of view - however I don't see where the original poster stated that he's switching from smoking to vaping, just that he's never vaped (though your assumption may well be correct).
It would probably be helpful to hear back from the OP to find out if he/she has built up what may be considered a high tolerance, or is accustomed to a daily routine 1 or more times a day. A tolerance to some degree, however, will usually be built up nonetheless, no matter the rate of consumption. If only occasional up to this point (e.g., 2-4x/week, 1x/day), I'd recommend to start easy with the Nano at about 6-6.5 on the power setting; or, at any level 3-7 with the Solo.

EDIT: I wonder if the OP has moved on. In any event, I hope we have provided some useful information for anyone else who may venture to and through this thread.:peace:

While I have not tried it I saw a lot of people gushing over the flowermate vapormax v and it is said to be very easy to use.

The unit will run you around 75 shipped from china.

Edit. Forget I said anything. You said medical grade and this one's airpath has not been certified safe. By that I mean a spec sheet has not been obtained.

Although no one reports odors.

I just wanted to report: My Solo is now over 1 year old - I gave it a 2 week rest while vacationing with my Lotus & E-Nano. Just came back home to my beloved Solo for a night cap - battery was charged right up @ level 7!!! She is my 1st love, and I will be ever faithful!

@Snappo Hi Snappo, I have a really low tolerance so I think I'm going with the Arizer Solo. I would go with a log vaporizer but me being in Canada might be problem in terms of shipping and warranty. Also all posters have been of great help, thank you very much.
Great rationale! Great response! Great choice! ENJOY!

Disagree, from my friends experiences and mine, I can tell you that first time vapers with high tolerance for THC much prefer a desktop vape. The solo just takes too much time to finish a bowl. Can they make due with the solo? Yes, but it will take them much more time to get high, and cause for a not so easy transition into vaping. If you have a lower tolerance the solo is sufficient. IMO
I see you never smoked before vaping so that explains why the solo worked great for you.

I would respectfully disagree, being an old school stoner who has been involved w/MJ since I was 14 and well into my 50's now,I find the Solo as a 2 fold vape .I use it when Im out and at home with a nice collection of import glass knock offs. I did my research and the ease and simplicity of the unit makes it an all around favorite.
I loaded my 1st stem with .20 of some sour diesel and turned the unit on 4 and whola 1st cloud of vapor and I was hooked and THE FUCKING TASTE WAS OFF THE CHART!! wow I have been inhaling the road for the last 35 yrs and along comes a real vape that could deliver.:rockon:I had tried old school vapes and they were prehistoric compared to what we have now:read Solo

I think as a home unit it serves well.I have had 3 -4 peeps over and hitting it with a WT and every one gets stoned with out a problem. I want to get a home unit ,but honestly I dont see the need with the Solo, this unit can hang with those who want mild cool vapor to maniacs :freak: like myself who start at 5 and devour the rest of the bowl on 7 while exhaling clouds:nod:. My bud who has a volcano has put it to sleep after buying a Solo.He likes the idea of a smaller bowl compared to the volcano's unit and the whole simplicity of the unit. IMO never was there such a small inexpensive unit that can deliver what the little mighty Solo can.. As far as not getting baked with a Solo for those who were heavy combusters, I cant say that was my case or the others I have converted.YMMV

Edit: I can also say that I find a lot of combusters find the Solo a great option due to its ability to produce large clouds just like a big bud being torched by flame, except this cloud lacks the garbage that comes from burning:leaf:

Well just because you've been using since 14 doesn't mean you have a high tolerance. You're claiming that it can get 4 people stoned, I really doubt you and your friends have a high tolerance or you guys are just really patient. The solo for me is useless for more than two people. I was a 3g everyday day toker. High tolerance is a subjective term. All I know is when I tried using the solo for a group of three, it wasn't delivering. We ended up combusting. Would we eventually have gotten stoned? Yup, but that would've taken like an hour of vaping. Combustioners expect to get high quickly.
I don't mean to sound like an asshole, but have you ever tried a real good desktop?
