I'm not following you. We're talking about the same beer being drunk in different manners, just as we're talking about the same strain/amount of herb being consumed in different manners. The beers ABV and the flowers THC content would be the same in each regard.

Yes but but the concentration isn't the same. So you could compare a 5% to a 2% beer for example.. Your lung or stomach capacity doesn't change does it?

I think you're overestimating the amount of thc lost through water filtration. A 24% thc sativa won't drop by half through water.

If you carry on pulling on a bubber, it will start weak, then get stronger to the point that it won't get any stronger. When pulling an a dry stem (with a smaller capacity), won't it start go get stronger sooner and then won't it get stronger vis a vis a bubbler?#

I'm stoned right now.

That's not what I mean. Surely the bigger volume equals less potential concentration because other things are staying equal?

Why would bigger volume equal less concentration? Surely the more you vape the higher you'll get?

Maybe I'm too sober for this right now lol

A bubbler simply let's me vape more faster. Faster for me because I can take massive combustion like rips and turn my material into abv in 3-4 hits tops. If I did it dry, I'd be sitting there for 20 minutes at least because of throat sensitivity.

Will the air to thc/cbd concentration be the same then?

I don't know the exact numbers but is minimal. And for me, the significantly bigger rips I can take with water compared to dry more than make up for any thc lost through filtration.

As far as I'm concerned, dry is primarily for flavor and less hassle having to deal with the glass and water.

I always exhale the "priming draw" at the point right before the milk hits the top of the bubbler. Problem solved?

If you can use the nano at a higher heat setting than before, will you get a higher thc to air ratio (more vapor)? Yes of course you would. So in the same way if you can only vap dry at a low setting then cranking up the heat and attaching to a water pipe will in fact give you a higher vapor to air ratio.

Likewise even if the temperature is the same, dry vs water; the vapor to air ratio will be the same. But what might change is if you can take a bigger hit then the concentration of cannabinoids in your lungs will be higher. Rate is the same but duration is different.

I've been on this thread from time to time and it is obvious the E Nano has a relatively large fan base here on FC. I'm defiantly interested in this vape. My main flower vape right now is the Solo. It's a great vape and virtually everyone loves it here on FC. That said, my main problem with the solo is that it takes upwards of 15 to 20 minutes for me to totally cash a bowl ( I'd say 20 hits or so). I'm looking for a desktop where I can be done medicating in less than 5 or 6 minutes. Btw, I never use water filtration and typically crank up the Solo to 5 or 6 and I don't find it all that harsh. I want to get into higher temp vapeing say 425F temp range. So here are my questions for all you Nano experts:

1) Does anyone consistently use the Nano dry with higher heat and how harsh is the vapor? I know subjective, but it would be good to know what everyone's opinion is.
2) what heat level on the Nano would equate to about 425F?
3) In general, how long does it take for full extraction (hitting Nano dry) of say .15g (about the size of a solo stem) and approximately how many hits?
4) Do you find that you get more medicated with the Nano in comparison to other Vapes such as the Solo?
5) for those that hit the Nano dry what stems are the best for big hits and cooler vapor?
6) How does it do with concentrates?

I passed on this vape before because it seemed like it was mainly for users that want to run it through water, but now I'm seeing a lot of posts from people who love the Nano dry. So is his the vape for me? IDK...Thanks guys

I went from the Solo to the Nano. I think the Nano is a lot like the Solo, just better in every single way. It hits harder, is more efficient, gives more taste and looks better. I never used the Solo as a portable so for me it was an upgrade in every single way.

As for your questions:

1) It takes some tweaking at first, but when I get good results I can go pretty far without it ever really being that harsh. I have had the screen too close to the heating element a few times, and that really scorches the load which makes it harsh. You'll have to play around some at first but when you get things right it will be smoother than the Solo.
2) Not sure about that one, sorry. I'm pretty sure there is a picture posted here of a sheet that shows the temps, I don't have it though.
3) In my experience you decide for yourself how long you want to sit with one bowl. The technique that seems most popular here is a 2-hit extraction technique which means it will take you minutes. Maybe around 5 minutes including heat-up if you're not too picky about how long you let the unit heat.
4) Yes, more medicated on smaller loads. So far a large load in my Nano seems to be something like half a load in my Solo. I'm not sure on numbers since I don't have a weight, but I've definitely noticed a pretty major decrease in useage.
5) Not sure if there is really a lot to choose from, afaik the dry stem that comes with the unit is good.
6) I assume you mean stuff like wax and oil since you actually have access to that stuff, but I have tried mine with some exotic hashes and it has worked great. With the Solo I could take it to max temp and the hash seemed far from finished. The Nano is the first unit where the hash had completely changed consistency after I was done. I think people here have a lot of good results with concentrates.

I hope this helps. :)

Thanks for the reply Dos Equis. Yeah, it's good to know its smoother than the Solo because I want to vape at higher temperatures. I just like the high better at higher heat I guess. It's also cool that Nano is more efficient and medicates better. That 2 hit extraction method sounds intriguing. Now, don't get me wrong I can take a pretty fucking big hit, but to get full extraction with 2 hits dry.... I don't think I have the lungs for that lol..

I use a solo all the time, but not really sure about weights. Same material it takes to loosely fill the stock angle stem would give about 3-4 good nano 2 hit loads.

For what you're looking for I think the biggest difference will be the constant AC power. Nano stays right there pretty much at same temp which can really add to the punch if you have the lungs for it. I don't, but my 2 hits are usually about 2-3.

You could probably rip through 3 of those loads in about 5 minutes if you're quick about it. My guess is you'd be feeling better than full solo after 2 though, so 3rd prob not needed.

Stock stem works great. Many more options and custom if you like from a fellow FC'er who is doing his own glass. I have a stem and a GonG from him and love both. He also makes angled ones and a cool looking right angle stem. Sort of like an upside down combustion spoon bowl. Pretty cool.

Question, I have a DBV which I love and meets my needs perfectly..... But I just keep reading more and more love for the vapor quality and how well the nano conserves flowers.

I have the money, is it worth getting even though I already have a desktop I love?

Anyone with a DBV and Nano that could give me their impressions?

Ok, I am about to order an E Nano with a Long stem and some extra EL-BOWLs. Is there any essential accessories I am leaving out? May get the Aroma cup, vanilla sounds temptings.

edit: Ok bought and waiting for it to ship. Will update when I unbox it, and my first session. :D

Great thread guys just a quick question is there any coupon code for epicvape currently active?
look and ye shall find I'm sure you'll find a lot of love from most at FC

I haven't had a dbv but I have owned both an lsv and an ssv. Buy a nano! Thank us later.
. Anyone who can afford one of these and doesn't buy one needs a stiff talking to. I've gotta get a portable or I'd be getting the ev2 as well!

The el-bowl and the long stem both are not compatible with the E-Nano, they have a 19mm connection for use with the EV-2 (or your DBV). You might wanna mail/phone and change your order if you plan to use those with your Nano.

@flotntoke My best guess would be:
Long Stem Direct Draw Glass for EV-2

@Jahannum Not exactly sure what you mean by the "long stem", but Herr_Dampf is definitely right about the el-bowl. It is for the EV2 - another epicvape vaporizor. Look at just nano accessories on epicvape site.

Nano comes with a standard dry glass stem. You'll probably want to add on an adjust-a-bowl GonG for water tools (14 or 18mm). A basket screen will come with each. They seem to last a good long time, but might as well pick up 5 extra screens for $5. That's all you really need other than back up glass if you want it.

EDIT: Thanks @Herr_Dampf , hadn't seen that one.

EDIT: Saw above someone is looking for temp chart. Think it's been some pages since last posted, and it can be kind of hard to find - so here it is again. Keep in mind - this is only a rough guideline. Not all nanos or dials are exactly the same!

Thanks Flotntoke,

Both the JoDa and Ed's stems look badass! Are they longer than the stock glass Nano Stem? Also, which stems are tops for flavor and lack of harshness at higher temps? I don't use water. Do those stems have the adjust a bowl feature like the stock ones?

Yeah, as you know, you have to hit the Solo super slow and it still loses heat during the draw. So are you saying you can hit the Nano pretty aggressively and it will still maintain temperature? That sounds like a recipe for huge clouds!! That explains the more intense high you can get from the Nano as compared to the Solo.

So, when using the 2 hit full extraction technique you just put in a small load. In other words, if you want to consume say .15 you will get better extraction and efficiency by breaking it into 3 small 2 hit loads than throwing the entire .15 in there at once. Is that right?

Do you know the minimum and maximum temperatures for Nano?

For those of you hitting Nano dry, what temperature is your favorite? I'd like to be able to blow large clouds in the 425F range with reasonable level of smoothness.

I'm thinking with at the higher temps, I should get more intensely medicated with the Nano than the Solo in a shorter time. I mean, the Solo is a great vape, but it seems it always takes at least 15 minutes or more to cash a stem of .15g say 20 hits. If I can do three 2 hit mini loads (.05) with the Nano, I could probably cut that down to 5 minutes. Now, when you put a new stem in Nano it heats up immediately and you can get to work right away... Right?

Edit: Oh, I missed the temp chart that you reported in your previous post. Wow, that's a wide range of temps. 302F to 482F. Wouldn't you combust on level 7.5 or 8?

The JoDa stems will vary in length from stock stems. My current one is shorter. I have a few more inbound this week, so I can let you know the average variance if you want.

I love the stock stems for their simplicity and ease of use (loading and cleaning). The JoDa that I have requires the screen to be loaded in "backwards," i.e. convex plane facing the mouth, not the Enano. This makes it slightly harder to clean out with the e-pic.

That caveat aside, it just feels damn good to use. It is more petite and with the warts, it is more secure in my hands. I also use it to "color code" my loads.. material A in a stock stem, material B in the blue stem.

Don't they just!! I don't yet have a Yoda stem for comparison, but my blackwood stem from Ed is shorter than my all glass stem. The glass has a very slight edge on favour - but not by much - however I should imagine that will depend to some degree on the type of wood used. I use a slightly higher heat with my wooden stem - I don't personally consider either harsh - but I also don't ever go above 7.5 on the dial, I usually have it around the 6-6.5 mark.

Huge clouds?? - oh yes!!
