Discontinued The Persei Vaporizer for herbs and concentrates.

I've been wondering a few things, because I just bought a persei, core, and hercules a couple weeks ago.
For a long time, I Wanted a pen style vaporizer that can portably vaporize wax, and glycerin based liquid, and the persei does great with bho, and isn't bad with the bho.
With herb on the other hand, I am not completely impressed.

First of all, I bought extra batteries (2X 3.7v long batteries, in order to use the liquid cart without frying the wick on 7.4 v), and they sent me a battery charger that won't charge my batteries!
The funny thing is, the long batteries came fully charged, and I have been using one battery for almost a week! This thing lasts a long time.
I called customer service, and they sent me a new charger yesterday, and a shipping label to return the broken one. I am happy with their customer service, and I think i'm going to continue to support this company.
The persei is perfect with the titanium kiss cart, and isn't bad with the liquid, therefore, the Persei is going to be my portable unit.
I don't regret spending a great deal more on the core, because I use it everyday. As I said, my short batteries aren't charged and the charger doesn't work, so I can't use the hercules without it.
I may be having a bit of buyer's remorse with the hercules tho.
I thought it was primarily for herb, but I was mistaken.

Because the directions weren't clear about use with herb, because it's primarily for bho, I kept loading my herb on top of the coil, and couldn't get a hit without combustion.
I realized I have been using it wrong, and removed the coil.
I admit I kind of like the option to load a half a gram, to a gram, and just puff on it all day, but I would much rather vape bud, because BHO ususally puts me to sleep if I vape a lot, as opposed to an upwards high that I get from vaping buds; and I have better access to herb. The herc does ALRIGHT with the herb, but isn't that spectacular. I do like the low profile, because I could bring it with me camping or something, and I wouldn't get in trouble, but for 100 dollars, I could have spent that money a bit wiser.

The hercules is nice for what it is, but I don't think it was what I was looking for. It is semi portable, but it seems to combust my herbs sometimes.
For another 70 bucks, I could have gotten the bender and a hammer top, which is an all glass attachment primarily for herb, and a heat wand, that I would definitely use.
but I wouldn't use this as a travel piece for work and school. In this case, I would keep the bender with the core.
Is the bender worth it? Is the hammer head worth it?
I think I will at least want the hammer head when they sell them with the rod, but they are out right now.
I'm also interested in getting the 3.7 v ceramic rod for the herc. I have read the taste is better, and it is pretty fast.
Could I hook that up to my shorty battery? You can run the herc on 3.7 v with the black rod?

I want to buy an herbalizer eventually for my desktop unit, but first I want to have everything I want for my persei. I want to leave the core, and both outlets in my car, for travel. Then have a travel case with my cartridges, and

I want to spend money on expanding my persei, and the number one priority is another cart strictly for oil, like the kiss cart, because mine stopped working after 2 days or so.
I'm wondering if the oil cartridges are worth it, because it would be nice to hae a cartridge in my travel case that I wouldn't have to deal with loading away from my house, and I'd leave the hercules with the core.
I read they are a pain to load, but they are good carts?
And what is the deal with the new oil cart? when is that coming out? The triton I think it's called?
Will it be able to handle a lot of wax like the hercules, or is it a new form of load as you go, like the kiss cart?

I want to buy an ss kit to shorten up my unit for my pocket, and keep a travel case in my bag.

and I want an isis. Oh dear god I want an Isis. But I'm not paying 500 bucks! ahaha

I want to just spend all this money at one time
-SS kit
-3.7v Rod for hercules
-ISIS
-Hammer top with ceramic rod; Possibly bender)
-Oil cart. Possibly many (depending on what tritent is, and how much it costs); Shit I might even buy the okeanos, but that's unlikely.

Does the 3.7 rod for hercules work with the 3.7 v battery?
When are the things I can't purchase now going to be available?
What is the tritent?
Which kiss cart should I get if I get another? 3.7, or 7.4, because I think the one I got with the persei was a 7.4, and it ran perfectly on my 3.7v batteries

aha and does anyone have any experience with the bender? I'm a bit interested, but it's expensive and not a priority at all.
Could I hook it up to a nibbler XL, or okeanos, or even my own water piece, if I wanted?

1) it's an upgrade, not warranty service...you pay $15.00 plus shipping and fees I believe when it's available so i don't see it being a problem as long as you can prove you have an okeanos. But should you need warranty service you will need to buy the warranty for eBay other purchases...
Don't take that as you'll be fine though cause I have no affiliation with the company except some lengthy chats with @THC SCIENTIFIC so I could be wrong...

As for your second question, like @syrupy mentioned, varies for everyone with the sr74/71.... It holds a gram, if your using waxs or oil that aren't too thick and are pretty clean. But for most wax and shatter it usually only holds about 0.5 because you only use 1 coil (0.5 per coil)... As for how long it lasts, If I use mine pretty heavily or I'm hanging out with a bunch of people, it'll last 1-3 days before I load more...if I'm just by myself and only take a couple hits a day, I can get at least a week or 2 before I need to reload (those are complete estimates I would say I average filling it every 3-5 days)
Thank you very much you've helped me make my decision on getting a hercules!

As for the upgrades ill wait and see whats up when they come out hopefully ill be able to upgrade my okeanos!

ive been using an ophos for a little over a month now and im hoping to upgrade to the persei with a herc as soon as i have the funds available but there seems to be alot of info im unsure about

ive been reading about the persei and herc for a long time <been reading about pen vapes for about a year before i bought the ophos>

with the persei ive seen many people talking about several different tops being available single/double/hammer/iris but i cant seem to find info on what the differences are between them single/double is obvious but what exactly are the iris and hammer tops and are they still available?

im also wondering what top is best for running the herc

also im wondering if there will be any way to get the persei/herc combo as a set instead of having to order everything separate and get batteries and a kiss i probably wont use

The Isis is a variable voltage top. The version 1 Isis is no longer in production and very hard to come by. The Version 2 is currently in development and we are all patiently awaiting its arrival @THC SCIENTIFIC.
The Hammer top is a click on / click off top for use with the Bender and as a heat wand in conjunction with the Hammer Rod.
About different packages, not sure on that one.

so the iris can change voltage without needing to swap batteries?

if this is the case ill be saving the money for this and a herc untill they release the isis v2 and the newer updated herc 74x ive heard about

The 8 first prototype is under construction now, so as far as myths i think it will be a Legend after this.

I would order the Matte Silver Persei if i was you along with the Hercules SR74.
Darn, and I was really diggin' the idea of having an Improbability Drive vaporizer...

As yet another OPhos owner, I am giving some major thought to upgrading entirely to a Herc-SR-74 type of system, but the modular pieces, while I'm sure is way better than here's-your-complete-unit types, are confusing me a bit.

I need a Persei. okay, but what about the special batteries? or the Core? I see it comes with a "Persei" and a "Omn..."something, but does that mean it IS a Persei? and, this is just a power base, right?

Is the Core portable? really... I kinda get the excitement over it being able to be plugged in... is it really a TETHERED power supply? I need on-the-go, so I should go with the regular one? or is this also a portable?

With all the recent & upcoming improvements to various parts, I'm not sure if what I'm needing should be ordered soon or later.... or even exactly what I need. I'm thinking a Herc, because I often get concentrates with varying viscosity. I have 2 grams, right now, of honey oil that's just too runny to use with the OPhos, or the DxDxxxxx (name withheld to protect the guilty ;) ), and while I'll probably put it in some edibles, I'd rather be able to use it vaping... AND I am ready to do more than Load as I go.

To clarify, The Core is an AC power supply. It has Variable Voltage output from 3.0 to 8.4 volts. It comes with the adaptors to use it with the Omicron and the Persei. It also comes with a car adaptor so you can plug in to the cig lighter and use your car's power. It also has a UDB charging port.
It will also be an integral part of the upcoming UpTech E-Nail.

And I know at least one person not happy about Flexo getting the name...

The BENDER is like owning a ROLLS ROYCE you don't need one however I'm glad to use it. For economy no way. For flavor and a self induced coma yes!

Get it latter however sit down when you use it. I almost forgot: Make sure your in your pajamas!

Question for the experts?
Will 0.5 of a gram shatter fire up the SR74 with one coil?

@ataxian love your description of the bender! Spot on!

.5 will fire up the 74 no problem. I only use one coil as well.

I made some shatter that is very powerful! I learned how to dab however next to my bed I need the hercules SR74 full and ready.
Dabbing is OK during the day however I miss the efficiency of the HERCULES.

I have a K.I.S.S. cart to load as well.
I took a little break from concentrate however they work better at night than flowers. The BENDER is wasteful.
I fill it up and stir between rips. Definitely not for a miser.
Flavor wise I got it wired.
I love it however many don't share the same enthusiasm.

Still don't like it more than my old one for the reasons previously discussed.

Is that the only reason?

Let's get some feed back from others.

Guys what do you think you want to feel the button click? Or just touch it and it works?

I would like to feel a click once the unit is on, not just a click on every press. One thing I'm not fond of in the current setup is that I have to position the top so that I can see the blue light to verify the unit is heating and batteries aren't low. Being a tacile person, it would be nice to have a response by feel (click) and/or sound (click), and not have to rely on seeing the blue light. If that makes any sense.
