I've had my Underdog VVPS for a few weeks now and am really happy with it so far. I tend to be a high temp vaper, so the wall wart worked well for me, but it's nice to have the control that the VVPS gives you. I live in an old building, so when AC season comes around, I need a VVPS to get my Pup to where I need him to be. :dog:

Excellent point! The more electricity used in the house (e.g., air cond., the more can be pulled away from your pup's heat (same circuit) - the VVPS compensates for that so you can get back up to favorite temp!

Oh ok, cool. If you do find that your Dog runs too hot you can add a VVPS to fine tune the temps to just where you want it. Alternatively a cheaper and lower tech solution is to get one of the DC extension cords from our website and add that to the end of the wall-wart cord. The extension causes a voltage drop because of the resistance of the wire, the longer the cord the larger the drop (hence cooler). :cool:

Im sure u got this question a million times but the wal wart is stronger than the vvps? This is going to sound really uneducated of me but i assumed the vvps was a needed part. Is it only used to turn the voltage down? Guess i should have read more into this before buying the vvps

The VVPS can be a very valuable tool,I don't think you wasted your money or anything getting one.

Try starting yor session at a lower temperature,and slightly ajust it higher through-out until you are at your desired ending temperature at the end.
You will get a more complete feeling from your herb

Not sure if any of those possibilities applies to your situation but figured I'd throw them out there just in case. I find myself adjusting my voltage with the Dog I'm currently using between 12.6v and 12.9v depending on some of the above factors while using a 6' cord (just to give you a comparison scenario). :2c:

That makes sense about ruling out a voltage change, and that too hot is not necessarily too high, so that pretty much eliminates my concern about endangering the underdog. Glad I also don't have to worry about it having been from some kind of trauma -- I didn't think there was, but it's not completely impossible. Anyway, it also makes sense that in that case it would stop heating as effectively, rather than getting hotter, of course. I'm thinking that if the difference I'm experiencing is real and not imagined, ambient temperature, being that it's significantly increased since April, and leaving it on longer are probably the reasons. I don't keep it ready 24/7... when I'm around the house I generally keep it at a low voltage, and then dial it up for use, and back down again, and I completely unplug it before sleep and before I leave the house for any significant amount of time, but lately I have been a little more lax about dialing it down low when I'm home and not using it, and instead have just been making sure that I dial it down to 12 or below (I am finding that I prefer the low 13s, but I use it in the 12s as well), so it's possible that accounts for me experiencing it as hotter at the same voltage. I haven't changed the cord or been using it on a different surface, but it's good to know about these various factors that can influence the underdog experience. I will have to wait until fall to see about whether it seems cooler again. My experience/usage is not negatively impacted in any way, so I don't care that it seems to be running hotter, but wanted to make sure it wasn't in danger of overheating somehow. Anyway, thanks @underdog and others for the problem-solving.

This is really terrible i kno but i need yall help. My dog arrived today and i couldnt be more confused with how to set this up. Do u plug the wall wart in then connect it to the vvps then take the extension cord and plug that into the dog? And can the dog be used wothout the vvps? Its says not to plug the wart directly into the dog so im not sure how that would work. Plz help @underdog

The wallwart that came with the vvps CANNOT be plugged directly into the UD. Wallwart into vvps. Vvps into dog.

You CAN buy a different wallwart and that will allow you run the dog and have no control over the power.

Can you do walwart into extension into dog? Or is that still harmful?

And when you say vvps into dog do you mean directly into dog or vvps into extension then extension into dog?

You need to use the vvps unless you have the other wallwart. After the vvps is the extension cord into dog.

Hey man that helped tremendously at first i had an issue pushin in the cord from the wart to the vvps cus i felt like i was going to break it. It went in though and this thing is probably the most efficient vape ive had my hands on and im saying that after two sessions ud for the win man. Thank you underdog! :clap::tup::bowdown:

Glad i could help, i've only had my UD since Monday and like you, i looked at the wires etc. and was wondering if i was hooking it up correctly :lol: but then i read the directions again and it clearly states to plug the power supply ONLY into the input port of the VVPS (opposite end from the LED screen)
It is a very efficient vape :tup:
