i'd like to say i saw Mr. Mixtape's vape...and the light is for real....i had some batteries to test out...all fully charged...it seemed either they no longer hold a charge or the battery is not optimally sized as the light did go on but was very dim...while the others were bright.....this would make sense in my experience with my non led box....as some batteries (even tho fully charged) did not produce hot vapor but rather very faint (no way could i blackened a trench)...but with the led..i had immediate feedback whether the battery was good or not....very cool and makes it quite functional/practical.....

Hi,

The power supply will be sold by itself (as an accessory) as a separate line item on the BlissSville.com website. The price for the unit will most likely be somewhere between $50 and $70 -- the high amperage power control unit is expensive to make, there is no way around it. It will come in three parts: 1) a cord that plugs into the wall, 2) a cord that plugs into a car lighter port, and 3) a custom power conversion module that has the same shape as a standard battery, except that it has a push-button on the back end (the negative terminal). The power converter is put into a Box as if it was a battery, and one or the other of the cords are plugged into the converter (and also into a conventional power outlet). When you press on the button (in the same manner as you might push on a battery) you start the heating in the Box. The heating stops the moment the button is released.

There have been various delays associated with defining a release date for the desktop power module, but it will be fairly soon. I will announce on the list when BlissSville.com is open for pre-sales on these.

The fact that Magic-Flight is putting out a power supply makes the LB more desirable too me. Will we see any pics? Or do we have too wait until you start pre-sales?

Not only is this going to make the LB an even more universally appealing vaporizer, but it will also make the learning curve easier. I could see getting the hang of the LB in just a couple of sessions if not having to consider when to recharge batteries. I can't wait to see it!

Hello MagicFlight!

I have to agree that the plug-in power source is a draw for the unit (no pun intended  ).

I have been impressed with the unit every time I use it recently and may even be ordering one soon.

Have you ever thought about putting a simple push button on the unit (so the user can leave the battery in the battery sleeve without it getting drained, and simply hold the button down for however long they wish whenever additional power is desired)?

IMO, that feature would make the unit significantly easier to use and much more desirable (as long as the button were easy enough to hold down, durable enough to last, and not easy to accidentally push).

May you have continued success in BlisSville. :D

Well... Thank you again BlissSville!!!

I left my LB with my sister last week after she developed a crush on it. She is now so VERY happy with her new little friend. She never even was a regular MJ user but has now found she enjoys the LB to help her sleep in the evenings.

Of course I came home and ordered another immediately :D :D Forgot all about the new little light!

My new LB arrived in just a couple days and I've been playing with it a bunch over the weekend. I love the little added light. I also agree the light will help with learning curve and battery levels.

I love that the batteries arrived freshly charged and the little personal note on the invoice as well!
Very nice!! Thanks bunches!

magicflight, is there any chance of being able to buy the power supply without the car lighter part for a slightly lower price?

Fear check back a few pages in this thread where the recommended batteries are discussed, 2000mAh are a bit on the weak side once you are experienced with the LB.

Yeah,I had noticed that AFTER I posted this :/ Figured why bother to edit...its the same batt's the LB comes with so maybe someone would want em. Im looking into that charger thats been mentioned a few times and a 12 pack of the 2900 mAH NiHM AA's.

EDIT - http://www.all-battery.com/24pcsofaa2700mahhighcapacitynimhrechargeablebatteries-1-1.aspx

Something along those lines is PERFECT^^^^ 24 AA NiHM 2700mAH batteries with (6) 4 battery plastic cases for $40. I can easily split this with my friend I just got a LB for & be good for awhile.

I'm curious about this also. While I'd love to be able to use the cigarette lighter to power the box, I don't have a cigarette lighter in my car...
Ordering an LB sometime around January. I'm going to put aside a paycheck for this. Minimum wage ftl.

Hi,

Yes, we can offer that option for orders placed with BlissSville.com -- best to indicate that as a note attached to the order (when placed). The discount would probably be somewhere around $5 to $10.

Has anyone had any problems with combustion with this device? I'm very happy with the LB, but on the first few trenches (with very finely ground herb) I got a little combustion, leaving a small black stain on the bottom of the groove. Could this just be because I haven't mastered the technique yet? I try to inhale faster when it seems hot/smoky, but with a slow draw it seems like I'm doing something wrong...
