maybe your pnp is just higher set temps? or your not use to using the PnP yet? ive mostly use my solo but use my PnP once in a blue and i seem to be able to hit it dry on level 1 pretty fine. or maybe just heat it up to the desired temp, then drop the bullet in and wait 30-45 seconds before taking a pull??

I hit dry at Levels 3 and 4 daily. A bit warm but quite smooth.

Yes, maybe some are overheating?

Both of mine work beautifully. :)

Im about 99% sure its just the way this unit runs. I LOVE high temp vaping and like to turn my abv almost black. Love the pax on high, the solo on 7, and the indica on red. Shit I used to turn my EVO all the way up and hit herb dry and still NOTHING has come close to the harshness of the pnp.

Any time I would use it my body and mind were telling me that something was wrong and to stop.

If you can tell me that the PNP matches the solo, pax, or indica in harsness level or have something similar to compare it to I would love to hear how you view it on a 1-10 scale on each unit.

The original pinnacle kills my throat on the first setting. It's one of the few vapes I have that makes me cough up a lung no matter what if I try using it without the water tube and the pnp on 3 was impossible for me to use without feeling a burnt throat and tongue and quite rough on the lungs even with the WT.

How do you get used to that 420time ?

The PNP is smoother than the pn og. The solo is much less harsh. Actually the solo is very cool vapor. But with more vapor comes more harshness. The hits I get on my PNP blow my solo clouds out of the water. With that being said I use my PNP daily on 2 and then 3 to finish if off and I have a gpong and it's not that harsh. It's now very nice with the gponpng

I don't believe it has anything to do with the amount if vapor making it harsh. Like I said I take dry hits with my cloud evo on,max temp and I guarantee you I was blowing bigger clouds than the pnp could ever produce even on the best of days...its the unit itself and the placement of the heater that make it harsh as hell

I think it's just your unit was the point I was trying to make.. Not trying to say PNP has biggest clouds.

I would love to try another pnp to see if that's the case but don't see myself supporting this company in any way any time soon

I can't blame you. I love the PNP I really do I truly believe for the price it's a top 3 portable available. But the way VB has handled everything, I don't see myself ever buying a product from them ever again.

I was curious about the cost of a battery replacement for the Pnp. I am still waiting for an email back from them. Since i can't put a new battery in myself I will have to send the unit in. I am only getting about 20 min on my batteries.

Hey there friends! Its been a few weeks since I've posted but I have a new question about my PnP, specifically regarding bringing it on an airplane.

I'm flying to visit a friend and we will be driving back to Massachusetts so I was thinking I'd just give it a good cleaning tomorrow morning and then pack it with my ecig in my carry on bag. Any thoughts? Anyone ever attempt this? I can't see it being a problem as I won't be bringing any illegal substances with it, just the unit, 2 bullets (scare me a bit as they will look like ammunition on an xray machine) and the pgong. Any tips would be appreciated

Can you mail the PnP , to your friend's in time ?

I've carried a used pen in my carry-on without an issue.

I wouldn't do it but I have a friend that won't fly without a few grams in his checked luggage. He said they never give him trouble because it isn't worth the paperwork hassle (I'll go with him being exceedingly lucky for the time being). I met a grower in Seattle who was kind enough to provide a large enough sample that I couldn't finish it while I was there. I did not have the cojones to try packing it in my checked bag (despite my friend's insistence I would be safe).

Did you just turn the resin in your stems into wax?

It looks that way, doesn't it? I wish I could do that! It was just a 'stage' it went through during evaporation. Here's another photo of it looking 'waxy':

The finished product looked much less appetizing, but it's really strong and tasty:

I put them through my Solo on 6 and 7, and then finish them off in the PnP on 4.

How do you marinate a bud in oil? My reclaim seems way too sticky to do that.

Looks awesome! Must give an endless vapor session. I guess you don't grind that bud, but maybe break it up in the bowl after the outside gets crumbly?

I apply just enough heat to the reclaim to get it a little more malleable, and then I wipe a small bud back and forth in it with a pair of tweezers. I let it sit in the reclaim for a few hours, hence the 'marinate'. However, I don't know if it really is marinating or not. In my mind it is, and that's good enough for me. The sessions have been lasting much, much longer than with just straight up flowers. Sometimes, I think it's never going to end. But in a good way.

I vape it whole- I wouldn't even attempt to grind it. If I'm just using the Solo, I'll crumble it after a while. If I'm putting it through the PnP on level 4, I don't really need to crumble it. The PnP goes through it like a hot knife through butter. The combination of flavors from the 'breaded buttered budlet' is very interesting.

Apart from the PonG and collar issues we've had (I share PnP 'custody' with a friend), the main body of our PnP has lasted very well. It has been used almost every day for nearly 7 months without a single issue, either internally or externally. We've vaped over 500 bullets (flowers, bubble hash, kief) at an average of 1.5 x 8 minute cycles per bullet = 750 x 8 minute cycles, or about 100 hours 'on the clock'. I'm happy with that. It's going to be interesting when it needs a new battery though. * Can it still be used through the charger when the battery finally does its swan song?

Although I was never a great fan of the flavor, the introduction of the GPonG has changed my thinking on that front. It's still not up there with Solo in terms of taste (and probably never will be) in my opinion, but it's a lot tastier than it was with the PonG.

Like a few others have mentioned before me, I find the PnP to be a bit hot/harsh on the higher temps if you are hitting it dry through the GPonG, so we usually just stick with level 2 dry. But with a bubbler (preferably with ice), this thing can produce huge, tasty, smooth hits on the higher temps. It hits harder and extracts more thoroughly than my Solo. I think it's a really good portable option for those who are coming off smoking.

It sucks that @TherealVaporblunt and @Engineering disappeared from the forum in such circumstances. They were doing a stellar job on here for a while.

He explained it in post above yours. Could be a good area of experimentation. I've been thinking maybe take a small ball of reclaim oil and roll it around in some ground flowers and/or kief and maybe try it that way.

CANNABIS TRUFFLES!

How do you get it out of the stems? And what do you do to it once it hits the pyrex

@Lizard King - yes the PNP will operate on a charger with dead or dying battery. I am experiencing this now. Thus I remote about with a battery pack and my proto car charger I posted before as I barely get 2 sessions and the PNP will scroll up blue LEDs as in an error and shut down turning off. If reentry, unit shows full or full enough enough battery (3 bars) but again eventually error out. I see others are getting scrolling (up) blue LEDs as well. Would said folks check to see if they too can operate just fine on a charger and report back?!?!? If so, blue led scroll up is toasted battery indicator...

I've studied what @MileHighLife did and plan to copy his recipe. Is your mod still going strong mate???

However @TherealVaporblunt did promise us he would look into a battery replacement program with his partners and get back to us. Maybe this is another business @theyoyokid1 would take on... (YoyoKid ???)

Sorry, doing this remote at lunch and on smartphone. Else I would give link references...

Yup still going strong ... let me know if you have any questions.

Battery-wise I would suggest the ncr18650b over the ncr18650pf I used. Instead of an IMR hybrid it's straight li ion (as is the stock pnp battery) but they have 500 mah more capacity than the pf giving them 3400 mah and both are panasonics. I use the 18650b in a lot of other electronics like battery power banks and flash lights and they have amazing life and are super reliable.

How do you mod the battery? Did you post it in this thread at all?

Basically opened up the unit, removed the battery, ripped off the positive and negative leads for the small circuit board that's attached to the battery then soldered the leads to the new battery and reinstalled it. I would suggest using a nice soldering iron cause my low power radio shack soldering iron was a serious pain.
