Asthma acting up, allergies or vaping?

My asthma has been terrible in the morning and at night since around the time I started vaping 2-3 times a week. But this started also the same time I returned home from school, and I am very congested and my room is pretty stuffy/dusty. Also it seems like asthma isn't too bad while vaping, but a few days afterword/ the day after it can be worse.

Im not sure if my asthma is being caused by an allergen, my house (asthma goes away when I'm at work during the day) or because of vaping. Since asthma is autoimmune its possible that in reaction to the hot vapor, my lungs are producing much more mucas, increasing inflammation of the bronchial membrane.

I did not really smoke often (less than once a month) before vaping and I had no asthma issues but I was 5 hours away from my current home town. Also it is important to note that asthma in general is always worse in the morning and at night, there may not be a correlation with my home I'm not sure.

Help?

Hi there. I was only recently diagnosed with asthma after a severe asthma attack which was definitely triggered by vaping a lot. Also when I vape each day I notice that my lung capacity decreases so in my experience there's definitely a link. I've noticed that while actually vaping (during a session) my lungs actually relax so it can give the false impression that marijuana's actually helping reduce the asthma.

What kind of vape are you using? I have emphysema /asthma and different vapes effect my lungs differently. i use vapes that i have control over how much vapor i inhale, and that don't make me cough.

I rarely if ever cough now when I vape, mainly because I'm scared of using having another asthma attack. If I do cough now I use my inhaler immediately. I'm trying to keep to a regime whereby I don't use cannabis every day of the week - for me that's difficult though.

I use the Enano most of the time and I was using the extreme-q when I actually had the severe attack. Which one are you using? I'm using a water tool now and I think that takes a little of the stress away from my lungs but it's definitely still there. Also, my asthma is definitely worse at night and early morning and I think that's similar for most sufferers whether they use cannabis or not.

The reason I know my asthma gets worse is because I test myself with a peak flow meter. Do you have one of those?

I'm also experimenting with different temperatures to see if that makes a difference.

itll be best to vape with the extreme q at a lower temp then you are using, ill say go for 370f. i dont know about the nano since i never owned or used one before. also it depends on how your using a wt, connected with the whip or directly and what wt your using, big or small. or you can just use longer tubing for your wt. and there has been post about using warm or cold water to filter the vapor and making it less harsh in some way. i forgot where i read it but it was definably somewhere on fuckcombustion.

I'm not using the eq anymore, the enano is my preferred vape. To be honest, I don't think the temperatures make much of a difference with me, I think cannabis just irritates my lungs somewhat.

^^ thats what you think, but the temp really does matter. at 370 the hits are smooth, sweet and kinda itchy on the throat but not that irritating. at 390+ starts to irritate more. maybe you see theres no different since you use a enano, theres no exact temp. maybe when you use your enano you dont realize your using it at the 390+ range thats why its so harsh/irritating?

I guess you're probably right. I think the problem in my case is overload, I find it difficult to moderate my intake. I think 370 (185C) was my starting point and 382 (200C on my EQ) my finish point. I think the Enano does have quite an consistent and accurate temperature but the dial doesn't give me the actual temperature. I'm very fussy about not going beyond a certain temperature though because, after giving up smoking, I don't want to be inhaling any of the unnecessary bad stuff.

lol best bet is get a solo, smooth and max temp is 410. even if using 410 on the solo the hits seem to be pretty smooth thought a WT.

i never used the enano so i cant compare the taste difference. but i own the solo for almost 3 years and im pretty happy with it.

The solo definitely gets very good reviews don't get me wrong or anything. It's just my Enano is undoubtedly so much better than the extreme q tastewise so I'm not tempted at the moment to buy a third vaporizer. I'm a simple man.

I use the UD, Solo, Lotus and Hammer, i use a Pax outside. I have the most control with the UD and Solo. What i'm loving about the UD is that i can dial in the perfect amount heat/vapor and it conserves weed better than any of my other vapes.
I'm not a big water filtration person because i miss the taste when i do, but i occasionally use a water tower . @drfe3 If you told us what vape you're using that would help.

I'm with you there about the taste.

The Enano is not really the issue.

Cannabis, and THC, are expectorants. You've nailed it there... you are back where there is environmental irritants - pollen, dust, etc. the vaping is providing needed expectoration of your lungs.

I do find that, for me, the expectorant effects are more pronounced at lower temps, llike 5 - 6 on the dial. Get over 7, and I'll cough from actual dry irritation. If I need the higher temp vaping, I'll use it with a water tool.

I do have long tubing from an asthma nebulizer, I could try using that somehow but i feel like vapor would just end up getting stuck in the long tube
