do you stir between hits?
Yes, every hit besides the first two or so. I just stayed up too late watching Kung Fu movies and experimenting with the two different heater covers.
I think have determined that the GG can get pretty even, but with larger loads than than what is possible with the Standard wand. But my experiments made it increasingly harder to judge :borg:

With the SG: first 2-3 visits no stirring, then once the clouds thin I stir once or even tap rapidly on the wand shaft to rotate the load, anymore stirring/tapping after this point appears to do very little....for me!

I stir my GG wand every hit when I'm using a water pipe. I pull the GG wand out when I'm almost done my toke to clear the tubing of any vapor so it's just convenient to do so. I manage to get an even toast of my herb most of the time. I've found that the 'temperature:draw' speed ratio is definitely more important for the GG setup than the standard setup.

Remove mouthpiece from tube...
stick this in same spot.

Then stick that in any water device....
water device becomes the mouthpiece.
It comes in 14 or 18
If you have one everything works.
Austrailian Vaporizers does not carry water pipes.

If someone explained it in that simple language for me the first time then I would have got it straight away. Funny how complicated things seem when there are no pictures as a mental aid.

^^Do you have a pic showing how the screen is arranged in the glass connector part(what is that called?) which connects to the dab HC?

He means the wand I think (or what you use as a wand)
In the official OEM SSV oil rig wand there is a screen
This diffuses the oil and allows some to go into the wands reclaim pit.
The screen also catches any spatter so that it can be exposed to the incoming heat and also be vaped.

Hi Guys!
I'm about to purchase an SSV and I've got a couple questions before I decide on where I buy it and which type and color I choose.

I'm quite impatient when it comes to online orders, as we probably all are :p
Since I live in Canada it makes it more complicated for me to shop for vapes.
There's a Canadian store that Sells an SSV with Ground Glass for 280$ taxes and all included. Received in 2 days.
There's 2 things troubling me. 1st it's not the Spherical Ground Glass and 2nd I can't get a bong adapter. (unless the Extreme Q's elbow adapter works).

So I've been looking at the silversurfervap website. They have "Reclaimed" SSV's selling for much cheaper. 70$ off is pretty nice! So I'm thinking about it...any thoughts on the Reclaimed ones? Anyone ordered one?

To switch from GG to SGG afterwards is gonna cost extra. So if you don't want GG then I'd find a different place to buy.

And yes, the EQ adapter works. I'm using a EV-2 elbow right now, very similar to the EQ elbow, works great.

Go for it. They are fine units. I believe they used to be called "blemished", and most arrive with very little if any blemishes.

Hey guys! I'm a newbie here and I'm getting my first vaporizer tomorrow (SSV of course!). I had a couple of questions real quick:

1: I've heard that the SSV can easily get hot enough to combust the weed if you turn it up too high. Assuming I'm doing slower draws, at about what clock position is the combustion point? I ask because I know that to get a good amount of CBDs (and thus an easier time sleeping, which I want at night) you have to heat it a bit more since CBD has a higher point than THC. I just wanted to know how high I could turn it up before I would have to worry about combusting. Someone else suggested that a ~2:30 position should EASILY be enough to get the CBDs. Does that sound about right, or does someone suggest something different?

2. I keep seeing Tweak's modification to the SSV being mentioned (dealing with the screens apparently?). Can someone point me towards this mod? I tried searching the forums but I guess I'm not choosing the right keywords. Went through a few pages of this thread looking for it but got tired of looking after 10 pages :[

3. Lastly, is there any advice you'd guys suggest in general? How to get the best Sativa high (slower draw speeds at a low temp, maybe 11 o'clock?), how to get the best indica high, whatever you think might be helpful for me. :] You can PM the answer to this question to me of course, since I know it's not 100% on topic (unless you have a SSV specific tip, then go ahead!). I've looked through a lot of pages of this thread, but of course I've probably missed a ton :p

Thanks a ton, been lurking for a bit and you guys are an awesome community! Sorry if these questions have already been answered, been looking for them for the past week or so and I haven't turned up anything :x

Also Sunny, you planning on vaping the fuck out on your birthday? I'm getting back home on Tuesday and my vape will be there when I get back. Can't wait, already planning out movies and activities since I plan on really breaking in the SSV to the best of my ability! :D

Probably because I keep mentioning it, lol. :D Works best with standard wand.

SSV EQ Elbow pack

And to make an even smaller bowl, I suggest picking up a VB mini wand + some e-nano basket screens. This combo is cheaper and no fussing with removing the metal ring from the screens.

My SSV has been getting some more  lately. It can deliver a hit like no other vape I've tried. Just ordered some new silicone whip for her, can't wait to throw my yellow whips away, lol.

I live in Canada, ON and I've ordered twice from 7th floor, from what I can remember it was between 7 - 12 business days.

Anybody order their Silicone tubing from Amazon.com?

Just bought ten feet and it has a rubber smell to it. The stuff I got from USPlastics.com had no scent at all.

Maybe this is what people refer to when mentioning tasting the whip?

Nope I've never ordered tubing, I just go down to higher elevations/elev8/ssv shop and pick some up from the girls!

Just had to rub it in for everyone who doesn't have direct access to the shop in Colorado Springs

Here's the updated setup. Wooden tray so you can take a dab sitting on the couch watching tv. Nonslip mat, glow in the dark stok containers, led light, and some glass work. Minus a beer she's all complete and rips!

Does anyone know where I can purchase a Vapor Tamer mouthpiece outside of 7th Floor? I see that VaporNation carries the Saturn Tamers but no mouthpieces.

I want to try that E-nano screen mod tweak mentioned, but they don't accept anything other than paypal. :( any other screens that you could perform a similar mod with?

The Underdog website has the same type screens, but not sure how big they are.

You do have a VB Mini wand correct?

Will the e-nano screens work with the standard ssv wand?

Unfortunately no, you could probably stretch one out to fit but that wouldn't hold very well.

There is a pretty big difference in bowl size between the two.

I have 1/4" ID X 3/8" OD piece of tubing on the Mini VB, and a 3/8" ID X 1/2" OD on the Standard. The combo is awesome!!! I recommend all users get this setup,. No more messing with putting a screen in the middle of the VB mini.

Edit:
100% crop from above image ^^

The nano screen just falls right through the standard.
