Ok so second thread...

Ive decided to go the SSV over the DBV....

but not having a cash to blow on two vapes I was hoping for some advice...

forgoing the DBV and looking at the SSV it now puts it closer to the plenty vape which I have heard great things about...

From those more experience in the vaping world... (I havent owned one yet) would you say the experience is better for the extra cash laid out or just different?
I like the idea of whip] style vapes but I ahve some worries about the plenty vape stem/whip...

With the SSV you just replace it relatively cheaply and it looks easy to clean... you can also put a small amount of herbs in the stem to vape where as the plenty looks like it takes a lot.

any advice would be greatly appreciated....

peace Didly!!

the only reason I would go the SSV is the glass tube that the DBV doesnt have...I know they fit each other but I cant see how the non ground glass heater cover would work with the dbv due to the top of the casing not being open.

It looks like it would be difficult to move your wand around in the same manner you would with the SSV

Understandable! In that case go ssv, as hoptimum said, it's quite versatile

My Buddha has the ssv standard wand and heater cover made to fit by 7th floor. I like it a lot better than the gong. I think it would be cheaper than a ssv but haven't done the math. Either way you get to try the gong and ssv standard hc. They didn't charge me anything extra to make a smaller hc to fit my Buddha, I just called to put in my order. I like the way the Buddha looks over the ssv but I'm sure you will be happy with which ever.

Either 7th Floor vape over the Plenty for me, and if you use the SSV as I did, with it sitting beside you at armchair height, it's very easy to connect and disconnect the whip at any time. One of the most ergonomic vape setups I've ever used.

I'm not an expert but I have a strong opinion

My SSV sits on the arm of my couch. Couldn't be more perfect for me. Left hand works the wand (giggity) and right holds my bubbler.

The SSV is not a dissapointing piece of gear.

I enjoy my Plenty, but there are replacement costs to consider. Replacing the whip and other pieces will cost about $30. Granted, you don't need to do this but maybe once or twice a year, but it is something to consider. Plus, you might want to change out liquid pads and screens. These are additional costs. Seems like buying the correct sized tubing for the SSV/DBV would be cheaper.

The Plenty offers simplicity...no wands to deal with, no stirring, no glass to break. No special technique or learning curve. Parts are easily replaceable and easy to clean/take apart/put together. I feel that the Plenty is overpriced for the design, but its function makes the price worth it if that makes any sense.

yeah I am leaning towards the SSV or probably even the DBV... Im wondering how much the non ground glass I will need as my intention is to just plug it in and vape without holding it

Im curious as to how much more weed the Plenty will use over the SSV/DBV

Thing is, you don't have to use a lot of material in the Plenty. Using one of the two liquid pads allows you to use smaller loads and still have good results. Under .5g, definitely use the liquid pad. Anything over, it isn't necessary, but I still do unless it is totally packed. I've used a little less than .2g material successfully.

The beauty of the Plenty is that you can use large amounts...seems like it will hold about a gram or slightly more. I'm not certain exactly because I never weigh under these circumstances.

How much you use is totally up to you. Some models encourage you to use more or less, but in the end the amount you use is up to you. All of these models are the same style (whip) and they have temp control. They'll vaporize according to how you set the temp and draw.
