My matching JoDa stem and gong came. I only had enough time before work to snap a pic of the dry stem.

For whatever reason (can't see any big chip in the glass) - my D020 perc only fires on the front of the piece (away from the mouthpiece) when I fill it above the slits. After much testing, I found my per fires better if I fill it almost all the way up to the slits, but leave about 1mm or less exposed of the slits. This reduces my drag, but still fires much more evenly around the whole bubbler (though it still favors that one side)

I'm still not convinced about larger volumes and the nano. It seems I can only whitewall the D020 once, maybe twice before I need to reload. And I have yet to whitewall my D020-w piece with the Nano....

Hi Ratchett. I've got the d020 and mine also fires similarly. I usually fill it a mm or so above the slits and it seems only to fire really at the front as well. My slits are all equal in size so there's no problem there. I kind of assumed that most bubblers work the same way due to the way the air is pulled but I don't know about that. Also, since I use the bubbler in my hand in the air the bubbler is never completely flat so that could be part of the reason as well. It's not a problem for me because overall it still functions well but I'd be very interested to hear about other people's bubblers, especially the d020.

Actually, I believe it should fire fully around the perc when placed on a flat surface (obviously when held in your hand, it will fire differently). I personally try to compensate for this by tilting my D020 towards the side which fires more often so there is more water resistance on that side (encouraging the opposite side to fire more often).

I like the perc on my D020-W much more - it fires quite well the whole way around the perc, and there is much less drag than the D020.

Well, just testing mine on a flat surface or held flat (with and without a nano on top), it does fire pretty evenly, so I guess it's the way I usually hold it when I'm getting stoned. I'll definitely take your recommendation on board.

Is anybody in the UK interested in, say, a single accessory from the enano website. I'm tempted to order a few accessories and am reluctant to fork out the $25 postage. I'm trying to work out a way to recoup a little of the postage cost.

. I like the sound of that man, a breath of fresh air to deal with you @ACE OF VAPE after my not so great experiences with vapir and ploom. 24 hours with my maple nano and I love it already. Think you might have converted a fervent doob smoker!!! Not me,My good lady just hasn't taken to vaping and beats herself up everytime she buys tobacco but before I left for work I left the instructions out for her........lo and behold she loves it. If you'd told me before yesterday that I could be ripped every waking hour and still have half of what I usually vape still sitting in my jar I woulda laughed. So so efficient and so so tasty. If only he did portables............

Hah, yeah. I think the Nano has finally cured my VAS. I don't really *need* a new vaporizer anytime soon. My 3 vapes should keep me combustion free, even if one breaks!

If only my GAS was cured, then maybe I could actually save some money! Instead I'm shopping for a cheap vortex recycler

so is there any relaible/safe way to use the nano mobile like the battery packs the underdog can use or any type of car outlet?

You can use power converters (inverters?) to run a Nano in your car. It's been discussed before in this thread, with specifics.

So much has!! I know it's tough reading through 243 pages, but there is a huge wealth of info on this thread about the nano. Much of the beginning is all of us figuring things out, but from about page 90 on you'll find great stuff. You don't have to read every post. Skim and read what looks relevant. Just load your nano up, grab a few good hits and enjoy yourself. OR.... everybody does know there is a search function right at the top of every FC page - and that you can search on just one thread, right?

That sucks about your D020 @Ratchett , but getting bubblers from China at $30 a pop has its downsides. Not as bad as rolling dice, but not much better. Keep trying that D020-W, though. I can whitewall my jhanpixel UFO sidecar, and its 2-3x the volume. Just keep practicing and use the best nugs you can get your hands on. I'd suggest you keep playing with heat level and screen depth, too. Have had mine for a long time and still learn something new about it on occasion.

So I have decided the e-nano will be my first vape. I am just waiting for some more basket screens to come in stock before I order. Are these screens hard to get?

DUDE! Just order it and be sure to include a note not to ship until the new screens are in. They're hand formed into baskets, so my guess is Andy has the screens - they just need to be shaped. Plus, every piece of glass that uses one comes with its own already installed.

So I was having some issues, getting mostly wispy hits no matter what I tried.
Then I finally found something to push the basket screen up a little bit and adjusted it to a position that seemed better. Suddenly I get thick clouds at 7 and it's dark brown after 3 hits. Wow.

I'm guessing screen position is pretty important? Cause before I adjusted it I was getting wispy hits at around 8-8.5 and never really saw any thick clouds. I would try again but I think I'll wait some cause those 3 hits were good.

Screen position is VERY important. As a matter of fact, once you start getting a real good feel for how the nano performs, I'd suggest you play with screen level and temp. You'd be surprised just how amazing hits are when you get it dialed in for your particular nano, glass, draw style, stash, etc. And, once you find your sweet spot - don't think it will always be exactly the same. Mine can change a little even with a load from the other side of the same nug. Much info about this in this thread, also.

Sorry for the stacked replies. As most of you know.... love the nano, and love to write about it - but schedule is hella busy right now so gotta get it in when a can!

Heh, no worries, I still like that little guy! I'm not complaining for that price! And I'm really starting to enjoy the D020-W not that I'm spending more time with the Nano. The -w Perc is nearly perfect - I've been using a mirror to watch it fire - and it fires around the whole thing!

Indeed, I'm still learning a lot about the Nano, and loving it more every day.

Hmmm, my 3D design senses are tingling.... I wonder if I could 3D print some simple contraption to form my own basket screens..... Does anyone know what size the screens are? Looks like it shouldn't be too hard to form these screens

Yeah... really can't beat any of those pieces for the price as long as you get the diffusion you want. Do like the D020 but love the W! Really a nice pairing with the nano I think. I know you'll get there soon. Really not that unusual to get only 2 (sometimes 1 3/4) nice hits per load when it is rolling along. Make sure nano is warm, screen pretty f'n close (5mm?) and heat just enough to generate vapor. Slow and steady with not much for a second, then she milks right up. I promise it's worth the effort!

Not really a nano selling point I guess, but tweaking keeps it relatively fresh and new. It's not bad at all when you're close to the sweet spot. Quite nice and one of the best vape experiences around IMO. But, when you get it dialed in just right it is beyond amazing!

Not sure on screen size, and not feeling like flattening one out (and bending it back ;)) at the moment. Shouldn't be hard to figure out, though. I'm guessing the ID of the flange rube would be same as glass or a tad bigger (10-11mm?) Then something a mm or so thinner to push the shape. Sorry... really not that motivated to try. Would be cool, but my 8 or 9 will probably last years and new ones are only $1 each. Used to kind of feel bad for Andy that he only makes probably about $.95 for each, but bet he has a smooth mass besket-er so he turns a tidy profit on them. Hope so! Think 5/$5 is totally fair either way.

So I find myself the owner of a custom @Ed's TnT wood stem by chance yesterday. Long story short, I had ordered a Solo stem... Ed thought I wanted a Nano stem (who can blame him given how I am with my Nano?)... and now I have a Nano stem with a Solo stem on the way!

Now, I am not telling you this to knock Ed in any way. Absolutely not! Ed had given me top notch customer service and is on top of making things right... not that things were wrong as you will see. In any case, you may know that I am a fiend when it comes to vaping with my nano through glass. I really only busted out the glass stems for my Nano when I didn't have a WT for a time, and I think once when I first got it. 99% of the time I use my Nano, its with a WT and if Im "going dry" its with my Solo on the go.

And that brings us full circle, and now you see why I was looking at a Solo stem and not a nano stem. Ah, but this was a blessing in disguise! Having spend the better part of last night getting to know the stem (relearning how to pack/draw vs using a gong/WT) I think I have a better idea of what this thing is about!

I'm not saying that Im going to be giving up vaping through water any time soon, but the mere convenience of being able to load a dry stem at my computer station has something to be said about it. Couple that with the pure elegance that this stem brings to the table and the new subtle flavors which become involved, and you have an attractive alternative for when you dont want/need the mind crushing power of full on bong rips, or the soothing kiss of water conditioned vapor. Really the only bad thing I have to say about the whole experience is that the wood tends to wick moisture from my lips, making them feel dry over long sessions. Im sure theres a workaround for that somewhere...

So in conclusion, while Im not a convert, I think I will be doing a lot more dry path vaping with my Nano now that I have one of Ed's stems.

But enough of that. Lets some pics of my new wood!

The species is Hawaiian Koa and the inlay is turquoise. Obviously pics don't do it justice.

Solod out.
Just wanted to mention that when I ordered my nano a few weeks ago, she was slight scratched on the top (probably someone at customs was jealous ;)).
E mailed Andy.
Asked me to send pix
Offered to send me a new one after I send back the other one.
That wasn't an option. We were already inseparable.
Andy offered a free glass piece as compensation.

@Caligula man, that is beautiful! I have a Solo shorty stem arriving from Ed in 2 days. Also a bunch of w9 goodies, my new custom worked glass mini bubbler and more. I am pretty spoilt right now!

My nano is still getting huge milage, has a permanent residency with a GonG and my steamroller always on at 6 to get me the nicest tasting hits with flowers as quickly as possible at home :D Even now that I own 4 or 5 excellent vaporizers and a great nail/torch setup, that Nano is still a daily driver, and still IMO the most tasty and easy to use of all my vapes, with oil and flowers :D

I am finding myself tempted to get my hands on a V2 nano, but then I am tempted to do some modding of mine. What will it be? Can we create a series out of this? Pimp My Nano anybody?

I can see why people say the nano is the cure to their VAS. The extraction process is just so much more thorough and consistent with the nano. Especially compared to other vapes that just use a ceramic rod... The whole log system makes such a significant difference.

I always thought well.. to be as efficient as the nano i just pack need to less right? Boy was I wrong. :)

Have you tried the VB mini wand? The nano basket screen fits and makes the ssv pretty efficient.

Haha no I haven't but now that you mention it I can see what you mean and how it's a similar process. Too vaked for science lol

But I must say I hated using the mini wand because it was so hard to clean.

Sandwiched some nice hash with some great bud last night, the taste was something special. The Nano knocked me on my ass as usual, this unit never disappoints. :D

Is there any type of guide on how to use the Adjust-a-Bowl GonG? I'm not sure if the basket screen etc is inserted how it should or if I have all the parts on mine, it seems like it would crush down on the bud the way it is now.
