Paperback Writer

Im a Rastaman not a Dreadlock
Hey Everyone,

Recently gifted my Volcano Classic to help a friend transition to vaping after 10+ of years of being my daily driver. It has been about a year since I paid it forward and I am missing it similarly to @Vitolo. Been thinking of which vape to get and looking at some of the higher end vapes like EVO/Herbalizer/Plenty/E-Nano/LSV for the past 3 weeks and thought to myself, why dont I just get another Volcano? Especially since I am looking for a reliable daily driver!

So my question is, since I purchased my Volcano over 10 years ago, were there any changes/upgrades done to the classic or is it essentially the same I bought in the early 2000's?

Thanks

Hi,
used a Volcano for the first time. How many bags do you typically get from one load? Like 3 or 4 before it gets to be very weak vapor??
It was set at temp 6.5
If you upped temp, would you get even more?
What is max temp you use?
Thanks

Called Volcano and learned that there were some minor upgrades to the classic over the years like the air pump and other things I cannot recall. When I first purchased by Volcano I paid $350 brand new from a dispensary in Los Angeles, anyone have a lead on where I can find one for a similar price currently?

The major iteration from the original is the Volcano Digit, along with the easy valve

Depends on how much you put in the chamber. I average 2-4 bags on 0.20 grams at 375f

I'm pretty stoked, i ordered my volcano digital solid valve on tuesday, should be arriving friday.

i got the volcano digit over any other one for one simple fact, that it's the only vaporizer approved for use by health canada and i have just been approved for odsp, combine a prescription for a volcano from my signing doctor and i shall be submitting my receipt for discretionary fund reimbursement, whether it happens or not is anyones guess, but completely moot on this site, i'm merely pointing it out as a major factor to my personal decision on choice of vape to act as my primary unit since my solo is just too much of a portable for my use patterns to be a primary any longer.

I am sure you will use your Volcano well for a very very long time.
Good luck on the reimbursement situation. You never know... you may be rewarded for your patience.

That is going to be tough! Maybe used.... Classic with easy or solid valve new probably around $450 new at a minimum.

I sent you a PM.
I had fortune in my search!
that is to cheap is that for a new one?
The unit I sent a PM to Paperback Writer about is a barely used Volcano. (original bag still clear and not discolored)...
All Volcanos that I have found on Craigslist have been thus.
There was only one deal I did not go for, and that was before seeing it.. the guy sounded sketchy.

I think I have to say the volcano digital is the best vaporizer for a group setting or for the times you want potent hits from a lot of herb in a few hits because I just seen someone fill up a big ass bag with vapor from a packed chamber in over a minute!. When you consider the fact that the temperature stays with 2f degrees which gives a nice extraction, and how fast it fills up bags, I really like this thing. It may take up to 5 minutes to heat up to max temperature but, once there, it fills up bags so fast that are so potent, I have to say it still is king in the bag arena.

I have to admit I slept on bags but, after seeing this thing in a group setting and everyone getting nice smooth hits(used a bong) so fast, I have to bow down and give it its credit. Other bag systems either take forever to fill a bag if you use a lot, so you have to do a lot of bags, or the temperature isn't accurate, so I wasn't crazy about bags but NOW, I see it deserves its props. Then when you add to the fact you can replace somem of the inner material if you need to, adjust to the bag size you want, and it passes strict German standards, I can't see anything topping it so far.

Major props to the volcano.

Hi all,
I just became the owner of a new to me 'Cano, and I am thoroughly enjoying it.

I saw a product demo on some cup coverage awhile back for something called a Lavatrap.
Now that I have a Volcano, I am now seriously considering this product.
Does anyone have any experience with it?

Also, any ideas on making your own "LavaSugar" or another kind of sugar that would work the same way?

How come more isnt know about this lavatrap thing ? I have the same question for sugar, It seems like a great concept but theyre trying to control too many areas like the sugar + plastic (disposable i guess ?) lavatraps.

More is not known about it, because word of mouth makes or breaks a company.
They are not brand new.....
but look at the price.
They do not even seem to sell just replacement sugar by itself...
If anyone bought it, and thought it was any good in any way, you (we all) would have heard of it.
You saw the video.....
you're smart....
I know that you can infuse some sugar with vapor!

Next is a good question....
do you breath the escaping vapor that has passed through the sugar?

One might make themselves a tube and use it as a mouthpiece...
and fill the mouthpiece tube with sugar.
put a couple stretched nylon stockings over each end.....
and then breath bag after bag of Volcano vapor , but breath it through that sugar filled mouthpiece...
sugar will not be contaminated as you are inhaling!
Shake it up in between hits.. so it wont clump... since you did not buy the magic spherical sugar.

Finally, let us know if the sugar was good!

It almost seems like you could sort of make this yourself too, the only complex part is the attachment to the volcano no ? or you could reverse the process and make a balloon bag and exhale it through an infuser tube with sugar or so ? maybe there are people with volcanos who can visualise this concept.

does the volcano use quality materials? I am looking for a good plug in vaporizer... I don't want to be using a vape that is offgassing any metals, plastics, or anything harmful...

"Rounded" sugar seems to also be important... not an easy task I don't think.

Also blowing a bag and then exhaling it would be too time consuming.

Not sure where they got this rounded sugar from, I can't think they had it custom developed or anything. With the bag idea I just mean having it away from your volcano can be nice, if you could take it to your kitchen or so and figure out an infusion there instead of directly over a volcano like this trap does.
