Thank you everyone for the quick replies and great suggestions. I will be ordering the new coils and sticking to the sr71 white rod. Thanks again! Can't wait to get back to vaping!

Are SR-71s still available? are they that much better than the SR-74s?
No they are no longer available unless you find them in a shop I believe.

Yes and no to are they that much better. Without the Iris top I would say the rod on the Sr74 is better than the SR71. But the rest of the sr74 I'm not really a fan of. I prefer the old center post without the spring that way you don't have to worry about oil leaking and jamming it up...also no screw on top (which I believe is about to be fixed on the sr74)

Now with the iris top, the sr71 rod is essential. You just have a much broader range. I've had great results all they way down at 5.7V. If I was using the sr74 rod this is equivalent to 7.0

The other thing I like about the sr71 is that if I want I can switch to an sr74 rod and i have an sr74. Can't do that with an sr74 though and a sr71 rod

I came up with a similar idea awhile back but my goal was to have a shorter device. It wasn't pretty so I didn't share it. However, half an hour ago, I simplified the grommet.

No discount code, no pics of the kiss globe yet, and the okeanos kiss carts are all 601.

Omfg, the HR-74 holy shit!

Damnit though, why was there no video or guide or INSTRUCTION MANUAL with it; I wasted a bunch of oil at first.

Seriously Thc Scientific, the site doesn't even have a phone number to call I can even find. XD (Found one on a forum somewhere else 818 Area Code it worked thankfully, but not from the main site)

The holy shit is good, though. I figured it out on my own & Jesus is this the business at 8.4v on the core.

I wished I'd just bought an Omicron now; & took so long to get here, from some site malfunction where I paid the shipping for 2-day but got 5-day grrr.

I love the good, love love it, but guys I'm already able to figure it all out without forum searches.

Also, no wonder the warranty has to be strict, but get a good guide link on your w9tech site, just a tip.

Finally, The Persei, not final on it, just wish there was a 8.4v VV like THE CORE in a portable, sigh.

^Yeah, found the link finally, I had made the incorrect assumption it would be in the site area with the item itself for purchase. Found a link called Instructions.

Sooo used to the old days when opening something and finding the manual in it.

Then, receiving it at work on Monday instead of Friday when it was supposed to arrive, and being scolded when I called about it for saying I expect it by Monday that, no it won't be Monday, it will have gotten here Saturday, probably didn't help my searching skills and patience.

Thanks regardless.

Also, I am using it mainly for CO2 Oils (Medical grade dispensary quality), I am a medical user, only.

I believe Gary told me apx .3gs. I think it holds a little more. I pull the mouthpiece off and drop my dabs through the cart so I don't touch the coil.

Looks like the Herc prototype was delivered today, I am still at work though. I will try to review it tonight after my overtime shift.

I'll have a review by Thurs-Friday latest.

Thanks again Gary/@THC SCIENTIFIC!

remember these parts allow you to lower your rod more. This means your rod placement should be like the sr71 with the white space between the contacts fully exposed.

I WANT MY HERC TO BE LIKE THAT ^^

Soon my friend soon.

Ok update on the Ultimate Enail.

We got our prototypes in. Initial testing shows it can reach 650F and with minor tweeks and a small redesign we should be able to reach 700F-750F

Once this prelim testing is done and we get a base result and redo the prototype and introduce it to the masses.

A friend who is a big oil head and loves to use enails is coming by to test it Thursday and we shall see how it performs.

We can discuss the enail here.

^This makes me curious. Still, have to say, best fucking oil vape EVER, the Herc SR-74. The practice on my first Herc was great and even with some hassle, cannot lie, worth it. End of.

Also, back on topic got some backup parts for my Persei and the 3.0 bats going to try some other stuff on it. :)

any news on triton? also I noticed some of the pictures shown of the updated okeanos had the glass section with two bottom O-rings, will this be available with the other updated parts, thanks in advance

Tritons waiting for one part, the Okeanos with the two orings isn't needed after all with the new oring system we have. What this means the upgraded bottom tube, air tube and the new oring system will work with the earlier Okeanos just as good. The second oring is now useless but since it's already manufactured we will keep it this way for this production run.

I am hoping someone can help. I have been using the Persei and Herc with the 7.2 rod and double 18650's with the extension tube. I seem to be burning up some ceramic rods is this normal or am I doing something wrong? The first one burnt out over a weekend camping trip with 2 folk's using it the second one still works but it's crumbling from the black end down.... What is the average lifespan of these things ? would the lower voltage rod last longer?
Thanks!

@THC SCIENTIFIC I'm not sure how cost effective it would be, but would it be possible to make the new IRIS head also have a 610 threaded charge cable to recharge the batteries through the top? I know it sounds like I'm a lazy pos, but I am, and would love to just screw that into my top while I sleep instead of fumblin batteries around all the time.
