Cheap High Quality Bubbler

¡Bienvenido tío!

I have been holding on for some kind of surprise but it looks like I might just be too late...

I'll explain myself, since trying to organise a group buying for the tornado bubbler that did not go to plan, sorry again about that

http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/tornado-cyclone-europe-order.13833/

I have been researching and managed not too long ago to find another Indian supplier. He has it in 3mm and 5mm, so I have purchased the 5mm one to try and test it first before opening my big gob like last time and try to surprise you all with another (great...) fun piece.

But it looks like you have found a better deal and beat me to it as mine cost me $52 shipped to Spain

Anyway I'll be back as soon as I receive it...if ever...or I hope it won't be another :worms: or :shit:
Well I might be doomed or just sceptical but since I never got my shipping tracking number (knowing a race was on with Lezi) I wrote a quick email to find out and got this respond......

Dear friend,

We are very sorry to state that the sample has not yet been shipped owing to the reasons given below:-Firstly, the artisan was down with fever and was away from work. When he started working, he took a long time to make the desired sample.

Secondly, the sample which the artisan made is not found upto the mark and he has been strictly instructed to make a quality product. You may appreciate since it is a craftsman job, we have to depend on these artisans badly. This is a great handicap for us and inconvenience to our valued customers who rely on us and give us a good amount of trade deals. In such a situation, we have to suffer and lose the most.

We hope, you will understand our peculiar situation. It is, therefore, we request you to please bear with us. We assure you that we are on the job to dispatch you the desired samples at the earliest because it is in our interest.

Thanks and regards,

So what do I think of all this....

The first one is obvious: Stick to what/who you know, (Our dear Sunshinestore up above, Hey welcome welcome), but then you'll never discover new stuff, so sometimes a risk has to be taken...or does it...

The second one, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and be a little more patient but for how long

Well, they did put some effort in this explanation so I'd at least give them another week. ;)
It's far from the short 2-sentence statements I usually get.

hi everyone,I am the owner of sunshinestore , Finally I can sign in now.

Thanks all your guys who love my glass. ;)
InstEAD of leaving your pieces without 14 or 18mm fittings why do you limit your sales with pieces you can't use a vaporizer?

The vaporist and non vaporist can use all your pieces?

Sell to all groups not just one?

Do you ever think of making a Giant ASH CATCHER?
Take a 187 and use a 14mm male adapter instead of mouth piece?
For a start!

You can use a Jhook for the mouth piece and easy to ship?

The JHOOK mouth piece is 1,000,000,000,000 x nicer!

In other news, I just got a message from Kent regarding my order for one JH018 recycler:

BTOC KENT said:

The item had sell out ,we can sent others styles for you ,please check the attach and reply for me .

Sincerely Kent

Attached: Image of JH017

Funny thing: The JH018 is still listed, it just got 12 dollar more expensive.

Chinaglass, you and me, we just weren't meant to be...

Oh yeah, wanted to say that the double barrel knockoff is 14mm (I thought based on their description it was 18), but I have domes/nails for both so this didn't affect me but might affect another. It also makes the pull closer to the original they tried to knockoff

You're lucky(ish) I'm still waiting for some sort of reply to my various requests...I'll try again as I did want to purchase 3 items but at this rate I'll spend my money with the Sunshinestore...if only he had those pieces

Edit: yes it seems as the JH018 is now US $78.69 shipped :ugh:

The only reason he reacted is because I actually paid and he was running out of time (if not shipped by tomorrow I'll get an automatic refund).
Just a bit bummed out because this one looked REALLY promising imho.

Man, B'Toc is gonna lose all their FC sales at this rate....raising prices...non responsive to inquiry :( ....gonna stick with SunshineStore and Yingmin5 for now I guess. What a shame, i was really hopeful on a decently priced recycler. Attention now turned to the Eagle Eye Cyclone on SS's Aliex store, I wonder if they'll list it on DHgate eventually.

Doesn't seem to work out either...

I agree. I luckily had good experiences with BTOC but from all the new negative comments from other buyers it looks like BTOC is turning into Kathy :(

Here is my hopeful prediction.

Yingmin5 will get quality control down one day and will hopefully make it back to the forum so we can share ideas for new items.
Sunshinestore will obtain some of BTOCs items to sell to us and will make some new items we discuss with them.

If the above two things happen I think we would all be very happy and all others sellers on DHgate would go out of business (or at least not get any support from FC members lol)

Dangus

Yeah, well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.
it looks like BTOC is turning into Kathy :(

I think I've only seen a couple issues with Kathy posted here, a couple have been reposted a few times, but the recent items ordered from what I can tell have been just fine and arrived as promptly as the other sellers lately. Plus her transaction record/feedback is pretty high.

Just saying, I just ordered another piece from her yesterday and already have tracking info (launch fake tracking # discussion...)

Easy to see the bad experiences as they are posted more readily. Consider yingmin...people have expressed concern over QC since a couple folks have posted up issues (yet the customer service seems top notch in those cases). Yet if you look at the transaction history, there have been 50+ 187s sold since @PoopMachine , @DieHard and I pulled the trigger. (arguably, a lot of sales came via this thread) yet you don't see ~50 posts of unboxing/first impressions(thankfully, but I bet the majority would be positive)...

something something squeaky wheel...

But yes, overall I think it is good to understand the risks involved ordering from dhgate or any Chinese/foreign seller.

Guess I just wanted to express my positive experience since those don't seem to get posted as often...

Cheers

You're right @Dangus I shouldn't be so hard on Kathy because she has gotten a lot better compared to a few months ago.

To add onto your positive experience from Kathy I can report that I ordered a baby layer cake from Kathy for a friend and it got to the US in 6 days and shipped 2 days after I ordered.

I should have said BTOC is turning into the old Kathy lol.

Kathy appreciation? A FC user asked me for some specs on the 4-arm hammer bubbler via PM so I took some photos. Still my favourite water piece for portable vapes.

Centimeters, use google to convert ;)

There is something that has been bothering me ever since I began reading the cheap glass thread that I have avoided bringing up because I really don't want to create a stir about it. I used to be in the clothing industry at the retail level and there was the tendency for one manufacturer to knockoff or copy another as an accepted way of doing business. An expensive dress with the designer name would be given to a local or, usually, a Chinese manufacturer to duplicate. That dress might be sold for 10% to 30% of the retail price of the designer dress. It might be as well made but would usually be at least a little less well-made, but would be within the reach of regular middle-class people rather than just the very rich. It was an accepted way of doing business and the only people that were truly annoyed by it where the designers themselves.

This was duplicating or copying, but not counterfeiting. Counterfeiting is when you duplicate a product and try and sell it as if it were actually the original product and not a copy. That is what these vendors are doing when they put a company's logo on their glass copies rather than leaving them unmarked. As someone said before, duplicating may be considered "the sincerest form of flattery", but when duplicating the label, it is just plain counterfeiting. The idea is for vendors down the retail path to sell the items as if they were created by their designers.

Personally I will not buy a piece that has a designer name on it that I know is not made by the designer. Nor will I order a piece that might come with a designer label on it. That of course is the only way to prevent manufacturers from counterfeiting when their only concern is how best to sell the product they have made and they have no laws or standards that prevent it.
Far be it from me to tell other people how to wear their morality hat, but I thought it important enough to at least mention it in this thread for people to consider. Many countries in the world do not care about original art, patents, and the laws that protect artists and designers. I personally don't think that is a better way, and if you ask one of those content creators you will likely find how discouraging and demoralizing it may be for them, especially if they are not a large company that can more easily absorb the competition, legitimate or not.

So to be clear, I am not in any way discouraging the copying of product whether it be glass pieces or designer dresses. I do think it is important, however, that during the course of our purchasing decisions that we keep things like this in mind. And I think it may also be useful to remind our (in this case) Chinese manufacturers that part of the reason we don't want them putting original designer labels on their product is not just how it looks.

O nice, any pics or video by chance?

Here is a pic. I'm at work but will take a video of it later tonight :) I have one myself and it is my favorite nano rig.
image_zps457683e4.jpg

I'm looking to buy this nano since it is similar to Kathy's but it looks like it is made by Apollo Glass so it should be top notch quality and only $60 :)

And here is my home made j hook inspired by @ataxian using 90 degree adapters and a female joint mouth piece :) It looks like a machine or robot to me haha.

OK disagree with me, I can't force you to be right
As one of the recent Kathy bashers I'd be happy to see that she now has her "sh**" together. I've made 4 purchases from her in the past. The first two went amazingly fast and smooth. The third took 2 months and 27 emails, and the 4th she wound up giving me my money back.

I'd love to see her rep restored as about 1/3 of the items on my wish list are from her store!

Can you be a little more specific about what youre talking about? The 2 bubblers I got didnt have a brand logo on them

Can you be a little more specific about what youre talking about? The 2 bubblers I got didnt have a brand logo on them

For example, many of the pieces on Yingmin5's store have a fake RooR logo branded onto them (e.g. GB186 through GB189 all say "RooR", (except that some customers were able to receive non-branded pieces on request to the vendor). Most of the pieces on Sunshine Store do not (e.g. none of the D020 series, they are all blank)
