I agree. The Solo is not the best vaporizers for concentrates.
That being said......I did do it this afternoon.
Here is what I did...
I used a q-tip to wipe out the glass dome from my Dr. Dabber pen. I cut off the top part of the q-tip, then rolled it in ground bud. Then I placed that inside one of the stems I got from @Ed's TnT . It actually worked quite well! I was getting milky clouds like you would not believe!!
I only needed a few hits, and saved it for later. I know I will get several sessions just from that.

I suspect you must mean the "best way" with the Solo. I haven't tried with the Solo, but some folks use organic cotton: they spread it thinly on cotton and place it in the stem: vape at the upper range (5, 6, 7). Volcanoes have a concentrate pad: you could cut one up and slime some shatter on it and put it in the stem. I think you would want to hold the unit as if it were a hamster watering bottle ( body up/ stem down) so that concentrate does not drip down into unit.
For me, the best way to vape concentrate is with the Cloud EVO with a VXN nail.

There's a few ways in the previous posts, but I am partial to an alcohol oil cotton. Take your amount of concentrate and plate it in a small dish where liquid would pool at the bottom, like a shot glass, and add a few drops of Everclear or ISO alcohol to dissolve it into, then drop a small amount of cotton in to absorb the mixture. Once the alcohol evaporates you're left with the concentrate evenly distributed throughout the whole cotton, which you can just put into your stem and vape. It's a little more labor-intensive but I don't have to worry about oil dripping or the oil not done and the flowers already totally spent. The Solo can do oils pretty decently but not on the level of an actual oil device.

Its hard to tell but if the newer solos have lower resistance and bigger holes at the bottom then its logical that maybe the holes are doing something.Thanks! Maybe someone can confirm that?

2 or 3 full charges of cycles from full to charge light light up. Dont know how many session it is. Not sure if it was needed, but Im sure I only tasted hot ss to call burning cycles done.

And with good reason I would say....
I had the same issue initially. I was able to get it off though. After I soaked my GonG in 99% ISO overnight, I then squeezed the rough side of a new kitchen/dish sponge into the GonG bowl and vigoroulsy scrubbed and rinsed until it all came off. It took about 5 mins. The GonG looked like new again after that.

Close call with the Pinnacle Water Tool. My son went dyslexic on me an decided to blow instead of suck. Water was forced into the Solo. The idle light was sputtering and the unit would not respond otherwise, so I disassembled the Solo and disconnected the battery. Let it sit for a couple hours(should have been patient and waited overnight)and reassembled.
I fired it up. It sizzled for a while, so I turned it upside down for the rest of the heat up. I started at heat level 3 and worked up to 6. It works fine although an erratic 7 light comes on briefly before the battery level lights.
I have been using it all evening now, so it looks like I got away with it.

Close call indeed, glad you dodged that bullet.
This is a common 'oops', I think it kills more vapes than guys will admit. Bong guys do it too, but generally with less problems.
You might consider a traditional 'fix' for such dunkings of electronic stuff, put it in a baggie of dry rice for a while. The rice absorbs the water vapor as it's produced. Put it in a warm place, shake it up from time to time, stuff comes out 'bone dry'.
You decide if it's OK to cook and eat the rice later......I throw it out on principle, even though I wash rice well before cooking.......just to remove the foreign material as it were......

The key is killing power as soon as possible and resisting the urge to "try it to see if it still works". That's one reason I disassembled, the power could not be shut off. The other was to help with drying. The rice would definitely help.
I once dropped a cell phone in the Skagit river. Disassembled and let dry overnight. Worked fine after that.

It turns out (clean) water is not really a problem. It's the stuff in it (much of it local debris to start) that causes problems. Washing (most) electronics parts is a common practice. Serious fresh water flushes saves gear dumped in sea water if you're quick enough. The right first aid for coke spilled in a keyboard (a common and almost always fatal thing) is to rush into the restroom and flush it out before corrosion can set in.
Trying to run it soggy can kill parts on the boards with currents that shouldn't be.
Then all you need is a complete dry down (so all the dissolved ion junk in the water has to turn solid again) and you're back in service and maybe all the cleaner for it.

@Dr. Soxhlet and @OF when this happened to me (different situation, same outcome a wet solo); OF gave me great advice and calmed me down. He told me it would probably be ok if I dont mess with it and let it completely dry. I took it apart and left it in the sun for alittle bit. Works perfect to this day. I love the SOLO!
Similar situation happened for me, only it was my mom who exhaled and it was with my fakexhale (the day I got it), it wasnt as fortunate as the solo

Hi Solo pilots,
Sad to regret my 1st Solo was laid to rest by accident out on the water.My 1st Solo now lays asleep in Davie Jones Locker.My friend dropped it accidentally overboard in deep water
. He has paid for a new one but before I pull the trigger I wanted to know if the newer version measures up to the older version, my model was a M1A4. I needed the 2 power cords, one being for charging and the other a power source for home use. I use the PVHES and the little work horse was our daily driver on the road and home.I have quite a bit of glass to accommodate the vape as well. Hearsay has that it is a lot less restrictive on its intake and has made the work horse a whole lot better? Was wondering if the heater and a less restrictive gong stress the unit to a point where the Solo cannot produce the clouds the older version did so well at.
So does the newer version measure up or should I try to find an older model.? Any one who can chine in for opinions of like/dislike is much appreciated,sorry for not going threw the whole thread to obtain the info,rushed and do not have any back ups and have been burning with a charcoal filter and IMO not to bad but nothing I want to continue on a daily basis. Im in panic mode,and BTW the flavor when burning is horrific, taste like what cardboard smells like

Always wondered about that, I thought is was for the battery.Do the holes on the bottom of the Solo help with airflow, or just the holes on top? I ask because I'm still doing things minus one opposable thumb, and it's easier for me to keep the bottom placed firmly in my lap at the moment.
I know if you blow air in the bottom holes of the Solo with the stem loaded vapor will come out of the stem.

Killing the power is indeed the key.
I know it's counterintuitive, but another way to "dry out" water from electronics is to immerse the device in 99% ISO for a couple of hours. The alcohol is powerfully hygroscopic.

The newer model Solo has the better airflow and can be used while charging, also heats up faster. The battery last for a full 2 hours, it will degrade a bit over time. You will be able to use your PVHES stems with the newer model. With the better airflow this unit doesn't need them, but they work well with the newer Solo.
With the new upgrade some Solos are having some issues, not all. Mine for example stopped working and I could only use it plugged in. I sent it back for a return. Randy at Puffitup thought maybe it was the battery. Some FCers think the plug and use feature may be too hard on the battery.
I use my Solo until there is only one light left on the battery and then charge it back up. It also charges quicker than the older model. When the battery shows one light it only takes between 1 to 1 1/2 hours to charge. I'm avoiding the charge and use feature, trying to protect the battery. Also try to charge until the green light is flashing, then take your unit off the charger. Do not charge to a solid green light, it's hard on the battery.
These are just some precautions or you can just use it the way it was intended. Throw caution to the wind. Good luck, sorry about your other Solo.
Edit: I noticed my Solo charged in 1 hour from 1 battery light.

Out of the box run 2 or 3 burn-off cycles at 7 (don't charge, run it down and then charge it all the way up)
After that I can actually begin using it, but can I get some comments on battery charging? What level do you never it let it drop before you charge it, and do you always charge back up to 7?
Quite excited to begin vaping for the first time.
