In all fairness we are in the same state as one another. I always ship 2 day priority though.

Ordered one of those Amber Purple's yesterday, very excited. Also does this thread make anyone else want to try glassblowing? Joda's just making some great stuff. Makes me wish I didn't live in a very small apartment.

I believe that the cores on the UD and HI are 3/8" and the Nano is 10mm. Don't quote me on that, just going off of memory. These stems might fit, I know it was reported that some of the thick stems Andy made did fit other logs and possibly the Solo.
If they do fit I would love to get a couple worked glass stems for my UD and HI which I should be receiving soon. If money wasn't so tight right now so I would have already purchased a couple and been the guinea pig.
The amber purple is without a doubt my favorite color combo I've seen yet.

This is what I remember.
On Toasty-top.com it states:
"The HI can be used with two different roasting tube styles. It will accept 5/16" diameter stainless steel roasting tubes inside the center tube as with traditional direct draw convective vaporizers. It will also accept 3/8" inside diameter high temperature medical grade silicone roasting tubes on the outside of the center tube. 10mm glass or wood roasting tubes can also be used. "

So are we going to see a fully worked stem with that color anytime soon? Also whats the deal with your phone? Are you having issues taking macro shots or what?
I'm only doing the fully worked ones on a made to order basis. It's a lot of work for a piece that might end up collecting dust.

So it looks like I need to order in some 14mm tubing. Solo bowl is 15 stem is 14 except at the polished lip it's 14.5. So Andy's basket screens should still work well might just have to open them up a hair for a nice tight fit. I wish I could source those on the cheap to be able to provide them myself but Andy can't give me a bulk discount because he makes them all by hand. So for now everyone will have to provide their own screens.
Anyways in order to place an order for my solo tubing I need a few more sales on my nano stuff. So if you've been thinking about pulling the trigger on one of my pieces now is the time. So 5$ off any of my advertised prices.
Or if anybody wants to pre order solo pieces I'll give deals on those too. It'll just be a bit longer of a wait than normal. (Not much tho)
I'm confident that as soon as I have the correct tubing that they will be relatively easy for me.

A second vote for a nice thick carb cap. Both the TI caps I purchased have 23mm inner diameter, and fit all of my TI nails, quartz nails with dome, and quartz banger. I believe many nails that use carb caps are 20-23mm diameter. It doesn't have to be a flush fit with the nail. My nail is 21mm so there is a little sideways play, but the seal is on the ceiling of the cap, not the sidewalls, so the diameter is not critical as long as larger than the nail. Most carb caps have a 3.5 inch shaft that doubles as a dabber. For glass I'd rather have a 4 inch shaft that is much thicker, since with a worked carb cap I'd rather not chance breaking the glass cap's dabber end by dabbing with it.

14mm heavy wall (2.2mm wall) tubing will give me the o.d. of a standard solo stem and the i.d. of a nano stem. So, not only will Andy's basket screens work perfectly, the stems will be beefy as shit!
Don't quote me on this part yet but, in theory with those dimensions these could possibly be dual purpose nano/solo stems with just an adjustment of the basket screen. Wouldn't that be handy! But I'll have to experiment with that part.

My only problem with that is the bent mouthpiece. To be honest I don't know if I can pull it off. You see, to bend tubing properly you need to get a large part of the piece your working on equally hot. Which would be fine and dandy if I wasn't on such a small torch. I wouldn't be comfortable accepting anybody's money on a project that I can't confidently say I can pull off. When I got into this I figured I'd be cranking out all kinds of cool bendy pieces. So far it's one of my greatest challenges that I've yet to successfully pull off.

I had the same idea but worked it out differently, I wanted a stem with a female on the end so that it could sit on top of a PVHES... talked to someone else about it but they never got back to me. Maybe when I get a little bit of money I can get a worked onescientific please. just like in the pic. X 2
