Actually I like the SSV over the EQ. No need to preheat any glass beside the heating element and heater cover. It is ready in <5 minutes and can be left on 24/7.

But I was also a cloud chaser, wanted thicker vapor. The nano has changed that, so my opinion might change if I still had an EQ to try and a DDave adapter.

My friend has an EQ I've thought about borrowing/buying from him, he never uses it.

Wonder if there is a way to disable the auto-shutoff? I see no reason it is needed.

I think the EQ could have a huge potential for efficiency if the bowl size was even more narrow than the SSV wand.

Hey thanks for your reply! I was digging through your old posts a few days ago and found lots of stuff very interesting. Is auto shutoff an older model thing? I do not have this issue.

Can you elaborate on how nano changed cloud chasing for you? I begin to understand how technique changes high fundamentaly so I am very much interested in your thoughts and ideas.

EDIT: I have an excellent idea. Since I had such a great experience ordering my f/f adapter, perhaps I could get that company to blow a custom eq bowl. Imagine something smaller then the wand, yet still narrow - if I get your point right, that should adress the center-only heating issue? You say "if the bowl was even more narrow", but isn't wand-bowl a standard 18.8mm male end? Why not use a 18f/14f piece + 14f whip adapter then?

If you guys were to remake the wand for EQ, what would be your perfect [bowl] desing?

To those who have no clue what we are talking about - this is the wand mod.

THANK YOU! and the mesh screen fits securely into this one just as it would on the standard EQ cyclone bowl? as in; does it have that circular glass part in the middle to stop it from being pushed in too far? @DDave you may be able to answer this easily so I'll tag you incase you're online

Ya I usually leave mine on all day. Haven't even turned on the auto shutoff yet.

What temperature do you leave it on all day? And is there constantly herb in there that is warmed up and ready to go, or do you just avoid the initial heat-up time of the device itself? I'd leave mine on with some lavender in there all day on fan setting 1 just to bring pleasantries to the household air supply but I'm worried about power and/or the device dying from over-usage.

@ Deja Vu, The good adapter has a ledge in the middle... see below... (not a solid ring of glass). The other adapter I've seen in the middle is just straight without ledge for the screen. Works fine if you'll only be using a wand with "screens enclosing your product on both ends".

It's difficult to determine by looking at pictures from sellers. Seems many are not using their own photos and some are not accurate representations. Best to see who's acquired the correct adapter already and from which vendor they used.

EDIT: wow! My graphic looked nothing like it did when it was in the edit window! Live and learn... hahaha :hmm:

Thanks. It'll be for whip use so I might stick around until one surfaces that will be ideal for it.

Sorry, I think my previous reply was confusing.

My Whip goes like this...

SSV Wand - Whip Tubing - Arizer Elbow

The double screen I mentioned is the Standard screen of the SSV Wand and an Arizer Elbow screen covering the mouth of the wand. With completely enclosed herb in the Whip/Wand, the adapter screen becomes less important.

Hm, I see.. I think until I stumble upon a diagram I'll be a bit clueless as to what purpose the wand actually serves.. :uhoh:

XenForo is a bit odd when it comes to using ASCII to make patterns. It assumes that extra spaces are mistakes or something. Nice try, though, DD. ;)

The SSV Wand replaces the Arizer Elbow portion of the Whip that interfaces with the F/F adapter when placed on the Arizer Heater. The Arizer Elbow can then be used on the other end of the whip to interface to your favorite water tool.

IMO, The Wand and Arizer Elbow are both good, but the Wand brought ease of use and a really good level of control over the herbs being processed. The Wand also never got too hot to handle, no matter how long the session or how high the temp.

Thanks Stu! A lesson I won't soon forget.

Worked on lining everything up just right, then hit Post and ZAP.... LoL

I usually leave it turned on at somewhere between 160-200C. And I use the elbow pack so I just leave my Ddave adaptor on to stay warm and put on the elbow when I want a hit and take it off when I'm done. Just avoids having to wait for all the glass to heat up. Can't say for sure of it is bad long term. But ive been doing it that way for almost a year and have had no issues.

I've been doing the same with mine for about 18 months, temp 180 - 220C, 16+ hours per day every day. Doing the same as @Baked55, but with SSV Wand. Only putting wand into the pre-warmed setup when needing to take a hit. Off when done. Works very well and takes the 5-10 minute pre-heat time out of the equation.

I'm considering purchasing this bubbler and was wondering if I need anything in addition to this to work with my ssv wand. What I'm wanting to do is have my ssv wand directly on the arizer, then the whip would attach to the bubbler and I'd hit it from the bubbler. That was the idea or is that too much with the whip? The reason I'm considering this is because recently the dry vapor has began to irritate my lungs/ chest. it looks like one of the adaptors is for a whip but I can't tell for sure.

@DDave . Thank you for suggesting this piece. Hopefully this helps once someone confirms if I need anything else.

You should also get an 18mm f/f adapter that will sit right on top of the heating element. The ssv wand goes inside the adapter

In addition to the 18mm f/f to replace the Cyclone bowl you need to use an EQ elbow or something along those lines in the female joint on the bubbler. The male/male adapter included is for the included nail, not for the whip.
I've used this configuration many times and it works well. Make the whip as short as you can comfortably handle, it will eat your vapor through condensation.

Something else I've done with a similar bubbler is put an EQ elbow screen full of herb in a m/m adapter, put the m/m adapter in the bubbler and turn the EQ upside down while holding the bowl in with a pinky. Simply put the EQ's bowl over the male end sticking out of the bubbler and hit it. This works better if you have something like a Tuffbowl that is wrapped in silicon. All glass vapor path! (Can't control where the intake is located... so not the whole air path.)

I already have the F2 F adapter for the SSv wand. I was wanting to connect my whip on the wand and then the other end to the bubbler so I can just pick up the bubbler and take a hit instead of having maneuver the eq. Was looking for an adaptor that's 18mm male on one end so it can fit the bubbler and then the other end be similar to the ssv wand so I can just stick whip in like we do on the ssv wand. Does that make sense? Lol

It does but you can also use an eq elbow for the bong end. It's 18mm male.

Ok stop with all this text someone save the day and post some fucking pictures so people like me can visualize what the fuck everyone is talking about.

I have DDaves method employed. I have the f/f adapter with the blockish ring (not the nice one with slim extended middle like Dave)

Then I got a whip hitting using the EQ elbow to my piece.

@Deja Vu where did you get that I want it!!

@Deja Vu - Hows the replacement whip? whats it made out of? It looks like the PVC pipe that comes with the arizer? I didnt like that one because its not as flexible like a slicon whip. My issue with the silicone is it gets smelly. like i put it in a plastic bag when storing it lol even if run iso through it and let it sit, it still smells

anyone know where I can get replacement rubber feet? I am missing a couple Thanks
The original Arizer ones, don't know, but the local hardware store sells replacement rubber feet. Maybe bring one to compare size? And they're pretty inexpensive too.
