Discontinued Vapir NO2

If you bought the NO2 at an authorized distributer, you are in luck.
I simple warranty use will have a brand new unit in your hands in days.
While only one local patient here out of a few dozen using NO2 had issue, they had a new unit in their hands in about a week.
Nah not as simple as that. Basically my aunt picked one up on one of her jaunts to the states and got me one when I quit smoking. Seeing as I didn't have a receipt for it I couldn't register the unit. Customer service is awful and they've blocked me from posting on their Facebook page.......

If you had a receipt from where you bought it they would cover you I got one from eBay and when it crapped out seller gave me receipt from his storefront Sent Vapir copy of receipt and they sent an RMA and I got replacement.
What doesn't work the unit or the charger?
Get a 12 volt power supply and try what I posted above.

unfortunately my aunt can't recall where or how she paid for it. The unit won't turn on. The power lead just doesn't work. Period. Not sure about hooking it up to a separate power supply. I hate electricity. Thanks though I may just try it.

Check to see if there is any damage to the cord itself .
Mine started to fray and was Not making contact properly .
So I got a new charger thru warranty .
I ask , because it doesn't make sense that you can't use it
sans battery . Mine was the older version , non-usb .

Good luck with your situation .

:shrug: I know I would at least try a automobile/12 volt adaptor, cheap and easy.

try it with and without the battery surely it can't hurt. I like my NO2 haven't had any complaints myself.

dinna really have the dough to be buying stuff for it at the moment. its a shoddy connection either in the unit or the charger plus the battery has never displayed more than 3 bars. I've had enough of this hateful company and their pathetic customer service. Just quietly waitin on my Nano and then in a cupla week my new Solo. But I do agree,it's a decent vape when it worked. But one question? What the hell is that taste that all vapir models have? Well the oxygen, the N02 and the OneV5 do anyway?

The taste you refer to, I am guessing must be the tubing.
Although the instruction manual on all of these vaporizers clearly state to soak the tube in
hot water prior to first use, my discussions with hundreds of Vapir customers reveal that
maybe only one out of a dozen patients comply with this instruction.
If not soaked in hot water first and then used... that aroma seems to "bake" itself into the tube and remain until sufficiently coated with resins to dampen the essence.

In 2011 All Vapir products still under control of Vapir were pulled and silica packets were put in all boxes to reduce any factory essences.
Also in the beginning of that year, Vapir had done a recall.
Some retailers felt this was a pain in the neck and did not comply.
Those sellers lost status as Authorized Distributors, and units retained and sold
were not covered by warranty.
After 2013 began reports of factory processing odors ended.
The tubing still should be soaked in hot (not boiling) water and dried thoroughly before use, as the manual shows.

After my tube messed up, I went and got one of those tick straws with the little ridges up and down them. I cut it half, just did melt one end so it would fit tightly around the stem. I think it works great and I personally don't notice any ill effect on the flavor.

I'm talking about one of those straws that come with a big plastic cup, that you may get from a stay in the hospital or from buying the "big drink" at a festival/carnival.

You cannot get a better Vape for under a $100. Lately mine will sometimes over heat and burn flowers to a crisp. This is after a 18 months of daily abuse, so I have more than got my moneys worth. I rarely clean it, the stock tube and mouthpiece are now black. For the most part she still works...lately I've been trying to put her out of her misery, but she won't die... Actually hasn't overheated last few sessions, maybe she's back to stay awhile?

At least get a 12 volt power adapter and try.

I got a 12 v adapter and it was working ok for a few days far as charging the battery. It did take a little longer to get it charged and seemed to me like the charge didn't hold quite as well. But night before last the battery was dead so I took it out to be able to use it plugged into the power outlet! It was working fine at first, then the vape shut off and I got it to come right back on only to shut off again after about two draws. Then it wouldn't come back on at all, after messing with wires to see if it may have been a short or bad connection in the wires, I went to unplug it and it was really, really warm. I don't know if it was a bad adapter or something may be wrong with using the different volts. That's one area I don't really know shit about! Any thoughts ?

sounds as though the transformer may have had a little short in it
It worked at first, but once warm, and wire more flexible it may have made some contact within or in wire.
Whatever the situation, it sounds like transformer.

I went and got another 12 v power adapter, well its one that you can change the V on it from 3 to 12. Finding a 13 V adapter seems almost impossible unless you order it from online. But strange thing about this 12v is. it charges the battery but it will also work with the battery in and plugged into the power outlet. I went ahead and took the battery out since it was dead, plugged it in the wall and when I turned it on it shut right off, but put the battery back in and its working fine! I'm sure it's using the power outlet, because the battery is dead!

Well scratch that, it seems to go back and fourth! From the battery light flashing like it's charging to it not showing at all.

When I use my no2 at its highest setting (400) the herbs are not as spent as when I use my solo on 7. I can actually revape the already vaped herb (avh) from the no2 in my solo and get vapor. Is there any way to get the no2 to not leave so much left overs? Is this something I have to live with or is there a trick to get the no2 avh darker.

The NO2 goes up to 400F and the Solo up to 410F so I would think the NO2 won't get the Buds Vaped as if it reached the higher temp. I can still take the spent AVB out of the solo and get a few more hits out of another vaporizer that reaches say 420F-430F, Just the way it is.

I did a test with my extreme: I vaped at 400 and then at 410 and there was no visable difference. I would assume this is why my solo cost almost double the price. I still love the no2: I can put it in my back pocket and do yard work, carry it around the house, drop it in my walker or wheel chair pocket. I wouldn't dare do that with my solo. My solo stem would break or get lost. Both great machines. Many people ask which vape is better. In different situations both vapes shine.

I'm scared to post a back to back post. I've been to fundemental christian sites that are not so strict with keeping the letter of the forum laws. The last thing I want to do is be excommunicated from FC (I wonder if I can use the "F" word in my posts). Of course, that's simply IMVHO (I had to write that as to not be insulting).

I have a new NO2 that I'm thinking of returning. It seems weak: I spend a half an hour session and the abv is a golden brown at best with it cranked at 400 degrees F. My other vaps, at 400, will give my abv a dark brown color like dark coffee grounds. Is this the nature of the NO2 or is the unit faulty.

I can't resist..."Fuck."

After something like six hours you can't edit so it's not a bad thing to double post in that situation.
Fucking Aye what Ronp, just remember what forum your on when using the vulgar lingo.

I have a number of vapes and have learned to judge the "Doneness" of the load by the effects acheived and not the color of the AVB. My duff from the NO2 is always lighter then from my Da Vinci and the solo is always lighter then the NO2. Different heating methods or chamber shape ?

I have always judged the doneness of a vapped bowl by the color of the abv: I always thought the darker the abv the better. I have never considerered your point, but I will.
My abv is darker from my solo set on 5 than my no2 on 400 degress F. Is your abv from your no2 golden light brown.

My NO2 abv is always the same color as the abv from my:
volcano, ssv, and Herbalizer.
I get much darker abv using Indica, Inhalater, and Pax

In these cases, as hath been discussed in various places in FC, ABV is "browned" in more conductive devices, whereas convective heat "tans" thy medicine.

The biggest selling point about the NO2 with local patients is the amount of herb that is used. It is one of the more conservative vapes in that area.
I use my NO2 often.

Is there any way to test the temperture of the NO2: When it says the unit is at 400 degrees that is the actually temperature. I had a vapolution, and I set it at 12 o'clock and the temperature the manufacturer said it would be was spot on. I used a fryer thermometer. The fryer thermometer does not work with the NO2. I do not want to send it back for repairs if there is nothing wrong. I will post a picture of my abv, and can you folks give me your opinion as if I shoud have it serviced. Also can you post picture of your abv so I can compare it. Thanks...
