Discontinued The Hammer Vaporizer

I am using my Hammer more than I thought I would. I discovered that the included lock on stem also fits into all my mini bubblers by using the included stems as a downpipe for the bubbler.

Been loving this setup and enjoyed the fact that this was possible out of the box. This mini bubbler makes the hits cool and smooth enough for me to not really need to buy the adapters for my larger water pieces.

Would wish a V2 to have a flame lock. Probably not the safest idea, but it would make the warmup time a little less tedious. Plugs for the end of the stems would also be a nice addition IMO. Although the unit will stand up on end (e.g. when filling with butane), I wish the top of the unit had a larger level spot so the unit could not fall over easily.

Love the control of this unit and am finding this to be my favorite vape for around the home/yard.

Just picked up my hammer a few weeks ago. Love the ease of use. But I find that I always have the adjuster on the highest setting. And even then it seems to take a while to get to a useful temp that produces vapor. I was wondering if there is a way to adjust the flame further? Currently I have to hold the button for at least 2-3, 30 second pressings, before i get any vapor. and then a another 1-2 pressings before its at 'optimal temp'. I feel like I'm going to get carpel tunnel from holding the button for so long. I watch videos where they hold it the first 30 seconds and get vapor. Are all those people just pre-heating?

LOL took me taking the thing apart to figure out what you meant by the 'two disks'. Wound up taking them both off the brass knob and adjusting that. as i was putting it back together i noticed that red disk was in fact 2. i will adjust using that externally from now on to fine tune. Thanks for the info!

wow my hammer must have been set way to low. After adjustment it is much more deserving of the name. using the 14mm attachment actually produces vapor before it was too low to heat enough to make that seem viable.

Can't wait for my custom stem to arrive now. Thanks again.

I wish I would have seen this earlier. In the future if you need to change the heat settings on your Hammer @Philreal posted the best step by step tutorial for adjusting The Hammer flame. I keep it saved in a file for future reference.

I wanted to share the tuning process with everyone here so if your light isn't heating up right be very care when tuning it will cause damage to the unit and I bet it might even effect the warranty so this is just to help anyone who might need a slight tuning just be smart about it and take your time.

First part is hold the hammer so the big end is facing the roof and the lighter trigger is facing the floor.

Next turn the heating dial all the way up to the plus sign on the right.

If you look close there is a small gear right below the thumb pad.

What you want to do is carefully place the tip of the nail in the last notch to the left of the thumb pad.

Then gently push it right towards the thumb pad.

The gear will want to slid just a little notch then stop so you must use a soft touch to get it to move.

Finally test it and see how it turned out.

To get my hammer back in turn it only took about 3 notches to slid and now it works great. If you find that your lighter just isn't heating quite up to par you now know how to make minor adjustments to the tuning. PLEASE just be careful and don't over tune it can melt or even catch the hammer on fire.

I think i got it tuned in. I think in total i had to turn it up about 4 notches. The new custom honeycomb stem arrived this morning and its been blasting away. Haven't had combustion yet but i do see how someone could have it high enough to. Way its set i give it 30 i take a 'pre vape' give it another 30 and and its producing big vape hits.

Kinda glad i took it all apart but i don't recommend it.

Thanks for the acknowledgment but @Philreal187 deserves all the credit, all I did was repost his information.

I also found an interesting little bit of info in a post from Philreal187 where he spoke to Dave (from Hammer Vaporizer) and Dave said "he would make minor tuning to his own Hammer during the different seasons due to temperature change." It's good to know changing the Hammer settings doesn't seem to be detrimental to the Hammer and Living in a desert I might have to adjust my Hammer depending on the season too.

Does the stem fit into any bub/bong that has that isnt glass on glass and has the rubber like that?

Was thinking something like this, or maybe a nice ashcatcher perc/j hook. Some say less diffusion is best for vapor anyway, so maybe that would be better.

Finally got the hang of my hammer, just gotta inhale super slow at first till you know you're getting vapor, then you can draw at faster speeds.

Thank you for the tips on tuning the hammer guys. All I can say is WOW right now. Ive always been satisfied with my hammer but it was taking about 45-60 seconds every time to get hot enough to hit. I just turned it up a couple notches and damn It can white wall my decent sized bong with a 20-30 second heat up now. Thanks guys.

Team NO SLEEP!
Soooo excited!
Ordered a stem from Ed last night, and cannot wait to see it with the turquoise inlay:D:D:D:D

On a side note, over Memorial weekend, I accidentally sat with one of the stock stems in my pocket.... it broke:(, and even worse I cut my hand taking all the shards out of my pocket:(

In the future, I could see myself only using the WPA and Ed's stems for dry use. Heck, I may even have him make a WonG adapter for my bubbler.

@FlyingLow I have also got Ed working on a stem for my hammer this is the first piece of equipment i have ever had custom made for me i'm pretty excited and cant wait to try it out. I'll post some pics of the final product once it arrives.

After have the hammer for over a full month I found the hits are as large if not bigger then my pnp on level 3. Also i think it is a lot smoother and tastier then my pnp (even with the new gpong). The amount I would save and conserve if i simply used the hammer only for a month straight would be unreal. But I really prefer the pnp for sharing since its so simple to use and very discreet in public. I was really unsure when purchasing a butane vaporizer for the health reasons of possibly inhaling butane. I have found as long as I don't breathe through my nose while taking a draw it is completely clean. Over all I really enjoy this vaporizer and couldn't be happier I picked it up over the awesome 4/20 that the hammer ran.

It should fit most but not all. All of my rubber grommet downstem pieces are 9mm which is the size of the Hammer lock on stems. I do have a friend however, that has a piece with a 12mm grommet/downstem, so you may run into a few pieces that this will not work.

Nice one! A friend also jumped on the 420 deal and we've been enjoying it. I have a pnp and agree with your comparisons.

We've gotten a better handle on the hammer - e.g. recognizing ignition by sound.

We do have a couple of concerns: First, the hammer needs refilling about every 2 stems. This seems excessively frequent. Typically we'll find the roar sound to be less or inconsistent, then we'll look at the tank window seeing it at certainly less than 1/2 full (say, a 1/3 or 1/4 full - hard to precisely say). Then we refill - often purging first. We have on occasion ran the Hammer down to non-ignition.

Second, I personally find it a bit inconsistent both in its roar sound and performance - sometimes its a sputtery roar, often the roar quiets way down to a shhh after a few seconds. A more consistent and louder roar may indicate better performance. Sometimes we're able to cash a stem quickly, other times it takes some time to brown out. We may try other butane - i.e. Newport instead of Calibri. The fuel setting doesn't seem to fix this inconsistency. We start with it set at 0 and gradually move it up through the session to 75 or 100.

I really like this little vape. So far, it meets my friend's needs - inexpensive, effective, and unfussy. I also think it's near 1-hitter-ability is very impressive and also key for my friend. He's still combusting and will probably continue doing so, but the Hammer may be earning a place.
