Yes I am going to keep an eye out for the updates on the GH and continue to be be barely satisfied with my Dragon. By the end of June, I should know a little better what to expect from the GH team. Btw, is there any stated confirmation of how much the GH will it the market at if you weren't a backer?

Not on par, the firewood hits harder quicker and has a safer airpath.

I was focusing more on the design/shape of it. Several nice little units out there. I've got several good choices if the GH gets another push back past July.

Don't exclude the VaporGenie it may seem like a crazy temporary alternative, but you can exhale vapor about as quick as you can inhale. I find the coil to be my favorite on the go Genie and for 35 dollars it's probably the best inexpensive convection vape at that price it's very underrated. It looks very discrete and since it's such an immediate dose of vapor it's not too difficult hard to grab a quick private moment to take a hit.

Vapor Genie coil looks very cool... I can picture throwing it into a small tool box full with random large springs, tools, parts, and other junk and it not drawing much attention if I ever happened to get pulled over and searched. Only thing is that it is not much of a drive and toke unit, least not in daytime, and I certainly couldn't be out somewhere and pass it off as an e-gic mod. Still, it's intriguing. I would love to have one. How new is it? I can't find any on Ebay and I was hoping I'd go there and see them for less than the $35-$45 price I've seen. I also only saw one video on it.

I know it's not the best vape unit, but what does anyone think about the Atmos Raw Jr? I understand if you have well placed screens and work the power right, you can avoid combusting for the most part. Main thing it that it can be had for about $20 and has an e-cig look. Any one have the Atmos Rx/Atmos Jr/Vapormax I/Ago G5 and get a decent vaping experience? It might be a very cheap tide-me-over until word on the GH comes through or I decide to spend the cash on something better.

I would highly recommend against any traditional ecig (like the atmos) that has 'herb attachments'. My first vape was a vapecone (same idea as an atmos) but even with screens and everything it's still a complete PITA and works so close to not at all that you might as well consider it a vape mime act, imo.

The vaporgenie coil is indeed very cool but they don't sell them on ebay directly. They do sell the aluminum bullet vaporgenie ($45) which is also very compact and portable. I'd recommend this over the atmos any day, even for double the price.

If you want to go low cost the coil/bat would be the best way to go. You can also have a mflb for about 60 bucks on ebay.

Checking the reddit exchange forums or our own classifieds may be another way for you to get a solid unit on the cheap. I've even been considering throwing one of my tvapes on there.

Yeah that VG aluminum bat screams mj pipe so I'll stay away from that one, but I'm starting to really like the thought of the coil. Just looks like some random part to something.

What is the most efficient type of lighter I can use so I don't end up with a gang of disposables all over the place plus doesn't cause toxins to be released?

I'd recommend it. It does have a learning curve though, as do all vaporgenies.

I prefer the coil design over the aluminum anything. I always keep a torch and soft flame with my Genies, lighters aren't always consistent.

What country are you in?
I just bought another coil last month and it totalled 39 with priority shipping but international will definitely run higher.

I agree with Yoosh, you shouldn't look at ecig style vapes as it wouldn't be worth wasting money for a product that won't deliver properly and won't give the amount of hits as the Tvape would.

If I were in your position I'd wait for my stealthy portable (grasshopper) but purchase a quality convection vape such as the Hammer or Firewood, they can be used easily while driving and should deliver better than the grasshopper. While you can't use them when right by people I think it's silly to expect to vape near people and think they aren't going to smell something when using, but you can mask smells, I like using peppermint as my masking smell. They also allow you to take a good hit within a minute, I couldn't imagine not being able to grab one minute of alone time.

I think I am going to get that VG SS Coil. I am in America. They are $35 direct from the VG site. Hope they are in stock next week because it seems like most other secondary venders are out of stock. Can't believe I have only seen one video of this unit and it didn't even show it being used. Do you feel the coil gives a better controlled, efficient vape with a torch or a soft flame?

VG recommends a soft flame but many prefer a small torch

Just make sure to give yourself time to get your technique down and you'll be getting lots of vapor in seconds.

I will be posting a video soon, but if you've read the end of the VG thread you may already be aware. While the Coil I will be using is thinner I've also used the thicker one and have found the result to be equivalent.

Ok I just looked at the thread and saw your post about the video. Will it be posted within the VG thread? Looking forward to it... get that thing done tonight!:D

Any Vaporgenie will be great, I love it personally, big clouds, fast heat up, its my portable of choice until the Grasshopper ships, unlike many I am hopeful I will see it at my door in a month or two, I mean they are all set up about to build them from what I can tell. I do hope they send early backers first, since I was like the 40th person to grab it, hopefully I get it a tiny bit quicker :D!

I'm just hoping they keep it under $150 for us non-backers.

I can see it priced around 149.99 to be honest, I mean being the Pax and Ascent is around the 200 range if they priced it around that plenty of people would take it over those if it performs well.

I'll be absolutely A-OK with 200 bucks if it performs as promised. A powerful, discreet, sleek vape means more to me than another bigger, car/home-based portable unit anyhow.

Agreed, I think I am done buying them for a while, the Grasshopper will fill the discreet discreet vape I am missing.(was the palm 2.0)

200 really does not sound to bad but I would like to see it in the 100-150 range, if they can manage it and it works well it will sell like crazy.

Woo Hoo! I just put my order in for the VG SS Coil. Getting it from Vapornation. Total with 15% code discount was $34/free shipping. Included the free grinder, aromatherapy blend sample, plus I got some free Bee Line hemp wicks for liking them on FB.

Looking forward to seeing your demo vid since I have yet to see anyone actually use it, but 90% of the people I've seen talk about use the word "love". Any tips you've found make a big difference from jump? I saw one person say this:

The herb has to cover the entire bottom surface of the bowl, even when horizontal
The part containing the ceramic filter has to be close enough to the herbs (I screw mine into the bowl, as far as possible. This seems to give me the biggest clouds, and it prevents the herb from falling in the side of the bowl when horizontal).

Also saw someone saw to insert a second screen back behind the filter to prevent small pieces from falling through I suppose.
