Did some dabs thru the D020 with the stock glass dome/nail. Pretty damn good, I like it. I want a dedicated dab rig now! Anybody got any recommendations? Small, minimal diffusion, male joint 10 or 14mm? I have been looking at the "babycake"

Well good; I saw the bridge supporting the stem as the lower part of the opposite inlet into the top chamber, but those are actually both the same height. Looks like it'll drain fine. Might even vortex too. If the inlets are offset to give initial momentum it'll probably do so quite readily. Can't reliably tell if they are though, like you say, but even if they aren't, if there's enough restriction in the drain line it should still whirlpool to some extent.

I love the baby cake but it is 10mm not 14mm so not sure if it will work for you.

My girlfriend saw me looking at the starbud bubbler last night and she loved it so it looks like that is my next purchase.

Shipping to the US on smoketower is about $27 so not too bad. Plus coupon code HOT10 takes $5 off so about $72 total.

I'm just looking for an awesome, inexpensive dab rig. Very little experience, just going on what I can find here. So much China glass, hard to pick one!

so far I have the recycler at the bottom, and the one that looks like a tiny beaker bong (sent for free as they charged me a higher price for the recycler) I am waiting on that funky S shaped recycler mini rig, might be about a week since I just ordered it. So far I found the beaker mini to function just fine, it's just tiny tiny... I want to get a 10mm domeless eventually... for now I'll use the provided 10mm glass nails (tiny little things) they come with. I think for dabbing the main ting is that it functions, and you have a decent nail to use.... My mini-beaker style hits really nicely and only get some tiny droplets on my lips from splashback. I thought I posted a vid of that one a few pages back, but here it is again... :p



aaaah shit, another nice mini popped up only if you scroll down, it shows the S shaped one... not sure what to think there... I've contacted Kathy about the photos not matching.

It be interesting to find out if both tubes arriving into the recycling chamber are dead in the middle or both a little to the right or left to create that vortex, cause I think if both are in the middle it will create some kind of conflict, but than again it could be really interesting too....

It should kick the water out to the right in order to not interfere with the vortex due to the coriolis effect. If it were to kick the water out into the return chamber in the opposite direction it would fight the natural spin of the vortex.

If you are good with 10mm you definitely won't be disappointed with the baby cake. Especially for only $20.

The New-Vape 10mm domeless nail works awesome on it and the nail is also only like $20-$25.

I still can't believe this setup is only $45. Plus I think Kathy has the baby cake in stock cause when I ordered one the other day for a friend it shipped the next day :)

Ahhhh my GB 187 and 194 are in San Francisco. It has only been 6 days since I ordered and Monday was Memorial Day so this is incredible! Thanks Yingmin. They should be at my po box within a few days. Maybe by Saturday :D yay!!

Coriolis effect is actually negligible at this scale, but even at full size, whirlpools don't rotate any fixed direction; their rotation is determined when they form by whatever circumstances conspire to allow them to exist, and may go either way. Coriolis does provide a bias to one direction over the other, that gets more significant the larger the body of water being drained, but to make it reliably impose its influence you basically have to start with a really huge, really circular pool of artificially still water with a perfectly-centred, perfectly-circular drain. Even at toilet-bowl scale it's influence is not noticed; our flushes spin like yours.

Even if it was a universal law, though, you might have just been looking at the Southern-Hemisphere model. :p

I'm so happy, I just figured out that my DYD nail has a tiny Ti cup on the bottom end, so I took it apart and made it fit into my 10mm mini rig :D nice!
I'm pretty impressed at how well that mini-beaker hits... it's so tiny!! The glass nail it came with did work, but the nail is so tiny and fragile, I wanted to find a more solid replacement. This will hold me until I get a domeless. It's a nice size cup, glad I decided to look in that spare parts drawer.
