Soul Shine Family Glass

Yeah.. F* Combustion..
What is crazy is how much you guys are loving on this glass company and they are literally right down the street from me. I could potentially throw a rock and hit their store from where I live..

I have been in their store a few times, but never realized how big of a market they covered.

Now I am tempted to sell my glass and get a custom piece by them..

Do tell! What'd you get? How was your experience?

I'm thinking about ordering a custom travel beaker from them for my Lotus! I just sent the email out to them inquiring about prices and such.

I had some trouble navigating their website - I stumbled onto two different store fronts (with different products and different photos) and couldn't tell which was the current one.

Their website is not all that useful and is certainly not complete.

Their Instagram page (instagram.com/ssfgglass) is more useful.

Since last summer I've bought a beaker, a tube, a stemline, a mini rig, an inline, and a recycler from SSFG.

Everything went splendidly. I'm at the point where I don't buy glass from anyone else because I like/trust where my money is going this way. That's more important to me than saving a little cash. And they have endless patience.

They can do some great worked stuff if you want. I prefer scientific though.

A worked beaker with a showerhead diffuser sounds like a good match for the Lotus.

I sent my email out last night and am still awaiting a reply!

A worked beaker is actually exactly what I was thinking. I'm maybe going to get some sort of wig/wag reversal done on the bottom, or even a fillacello. I'm not to sure about the latter as it would likely be pretty costly. I am not planning on ordering a slide though, so I'll probably save some money there.

I'm thinking about just asking them to do the largest reversal they can on the bottom for $125 or so, I figure that is a reasonable amount for the work? I'd love to hear some opinions on that - I've never purchased anything custom before.

As a customer of SSFG I can highly recommend them for their quality glass and service. They forgot to send me a keckclip and then sent me two as goodwill. I am in Australia so I can understand the logistics required to sending so far.

I'll gladly empty my pocket as far as my first experience with ssfg goes.

I've never purchased anything heady ever, so I'm not sure. But for an American normal-sized beaker with a just a little work on the bottom, $125 might be okay.

No slide included won't save you that much, I don't think.

I think their standard slide is about 15-25. I really like their snapper slide though, perfect one/two hitters for me.

Allison got back to me today - SSFG aren't taking custom orders at the moment. I asked when they would start again.

I guess I'll probably go for a travel beaker with a showerhead!

Anyone have any experience with the Mini Bent Neck Stemline?

I'm planning on getting a custom 10mm version of it shrunken down as much as Ray can manage.

I've used one of their gridded stemline hybrids back in the day and it worked quite nicely. When it was time for something new, I ended up selling it to another FC'er and it worked out well for them too.

This mini looks pretty sweet. Shrunken down even more and it'd be one cute little piece...

Love to support the East side!

I'm going to be getting a ~4" version of the mini stemline, with either a donut or a triple donut in the neck in order to act as a pendant loop/splash guard/finger grip.

Also considering getting some work done on the piece, possibly a black/slyme lip and base wrap.
