Need help runny BHO

I am new to bho extracting, I only have done small 20 gram runs. I am using clipping and some leaf material. The first 2 runs I did was I would say a success. The problem I ran into was the last two runs. I packed the tube, blew 1 and a quarter cans of tane into the Pyrex in the hot water bath outside. Once the tane evaporated I took inside and put in fresh hot water bath, bubbles going crazy popping them but the oil is sooooo runny I don't think I can do anything with it...the oil is a dark color looks almost black, but you smear it and you can see its a nice golden greenish color...

Question of the day, what makes bho oil so runny sometimes?

no I have not went and picked up the IR gun, (hangs head in shame). Well if that is the case the temp got to warm...is there anything to do with stuff to save it?

Runny bho is technically ok it just won't taste as good since most of the terpenes have been boiled off (once that has happened you can't reserve it) but it is still will get the job done. Toss it in the freezer before you do a dab, hopefully that makes it easier to get a glob together.

Another option too, If its just runny from overpurging at too high of a temp your oil is probably at least half way decarb'd into the active edible form of thc. Whip that bho into some coconut oil or something for edibles. If your looking to get high enough to meet the Jetsons, hash edibles is the best way to fly :D

I'd mix some kief in with it and make some jelly hash.

That's some good thinking!

It's likely that runny product is caused by high temps when purging but also consider if there was a lot of moisture in your product? Some people have also pointed out issues with growers spraying their plants with neem oil, basically ruining the bho.
