so how long does this thing take to heat up ? If people are worried about pre heating it remotely, I'm thinking it must be a long time, I've never used a decent vape that takes more than a couple of minutes to heat up . I suppose if you are using it for pain relief or something that could be more important.

From my understanding it only takes about 2-4 minutes generally.

Heat-up time is 5 minutes to useable heat (setting 10 for 4+, then to your setting), but you're better off giving it 10. Personally don't see the need for remote turn on. Chuckled when I saw that post. Usually takes me at least 10 minutes from walking in door to vaping, anyway.

Not sure what vapes you've been using iow, but I've not used many decent ones that take less than 10 minutes to get to solid operating temp without flame or battery (e.g. EQ, EVO, Buddha, box types - Volcano at least 5 mins). Of course my MFLB is nearly instant (which is great in situations I use it), but it sure doesn't hit the same. I think you need to build up a bit of a heat sink for constant good temp without conduction.

Damnit! That Redwood was literally posted to the store minutes after I went back upstairs before bed!

Looks like he posts items to the store later at night (my time), which means many of you have several hours to snatch up these exotics before I discover there's been a new item added.....

I love leaving the Nano on ALL-THE-TIME....just leave it on 4 or so, and then up to to 6-7 when you're awake and using it. It uses what, a few watts of hydro? Always ready to go! Love it!

Dude I literally saw it minutes after it went up and it was already sold. Don't feel bad.

@Mrmrmrmr I'll try to cook something up.

So hard to not pull the trigger on whatever he has in stock. And I hate pestering him with PMs since I know he's a busy guy. I'll get one soon enough

In the meantime, all this new knowledge I've gained about Log vapes in the past week has really got me thinking about building my own. Hell, I've got a few 12v heater cartridges laying around for my 3D printers. Maybe I'll try building my own battery powered log vape.

Of course I'd be throwing a 3D printed twist on it. Though the only truly food-safe material for 3D printing currently is glazed ceramic (glazing done post printing). But that should easily hold up to the temperatures we're talking about.... But I'm veering way off topic. I'll start a new thread about this later.

Time to start a notebook entry and start pouring out my thoughts on the design

Patience may be a virtue, but damn the Nano is tempting me to sin!

Volute of Vapor
I'm actually sitting on a good amount of really good kief (I think 50% after to scale it after vaping) and the Nano is awesome to handle it. before I vaped kief at 8.5 or 9 but I think now it tastes better at the same t° than flowers when I want to take a milky draw, so it's 7.25-7.5 max and it never stops to produce vapor (stirring helps)! Clouds are not larger but thick enough for me and the taste is so good and the floor is so high...

I never tried kief without water filtration, i promise you to make a test since I know I'm able to extract the goodies from kief at low temp and don't hurt my throat!
