Ok I have to say this: This is the very best vape I have ever tried in my life. The hits are so smooth. I can tell this is going to pay for itself MANY times over down the road. Many thanks to Tom & Pammy :)

For the good of the list, I received my shipping confirmation Sunday evening. Of course, the USPS tracking hasn't changed since my baby left Nashua, New Hampshire (?) on Sunday. I hope I'm not out running some stupid errand when the mailman comes. What would Bob Marley say? --> Make way for the positive day! (I feel like Fat Albert should be in the background singin Hey Hey Hey)

neilito #3859 ordered 1/22; shipping confirmed 1/27.

My experience with USPS tracking is that they never update until it arrives, if then. UPS is terrific at pinpointing where a package is, fedex is pretty good too. USPS never updates past the initial ship notice, then just arrives and a day later they update that it was delivered.
Check your box...

it may be "delivery confirmation" rather than "tracking" which requires an additional fee ... delivery confirmation is free with Click-n-Ship, but doesn't have shipping status/info.

PD came yesterday. YAYYYYYYYYYY! This product has lived up to its reputation and promises to be well-loved. I'm sneezing a bit more than I do with the cano, don'y really know why. but the efficiency and ease of use are paramount! A sweet little unit indeed.

neilito 3859 received 6-30

I've had the PD ;pd; for a little more than a week now. It was worth the wait, I only fill the stem about half full. The draw is much harder than a Roor, I would liken it to drawing on a straw in a very thick milk shake. My grind is very fine. I tried a courser grind once, but it didn't make much of a difference. I am getting used to it now and the negative pressure required for a draw is bound to create a powerful diaphragm.

I am using the PD because of chronic pain. Unfortunately, I live in a place where mm is not available.:(

I find I am getting 3 good tokes with visible vapor, sometimes as many as six. If I can't taste anything but warm air I eject what is in the stem. Sometimes I get as many as six tokes, but never more than that. I am finding that I load the tip of the vapor tube about half way twice and do that three times a day. That gets me where I need to be and I am really feeling a lot better being able to control the dosage so easily.

I received with the PD package a small wooden plug or cap. At first I thought it was to hold the vapor tube, because the metal tip gets very hot, but the only place I could find that the wooden plug fits is the top of the diffuser. Is it okay to leave the wooden plug on the diffuser while it is plugged in? I'm afraid it might overheat?

The diffuser itself is a work of art! A beautiful red cherry with a different colour cap. I have rubbed several coats of buzz butter on them already. I have a small cotton cloth and I rub down the finish frequently. the diffuser itself is so pretty I was thinking of placing it on the fireplace mantle. No one would know what it is!

I was using a lid every two years, but once I found reliable source I've increased the dosage to about 1 lid every six or seven months. The PD may stretch that out a lot further.

I was a little concerned over the heat. I can feel the hot air hitting my tongue or the roof of my mouth occassionally. I burned the tip of my finger a couple of times on the tip of the vapor tube, but I have learned to be more careful when I refill the tube for the second dose. I never used more than that at once. I imagine that could be a very pleasant :buzz: experience, I prefer not to fall asleep, I like to enjoy.

SSS thanks for keeping everyone updated, it has been fun waiting with like minded souls!

Sadhu, questions may get more notice and better answers over in the PD Experience thread, but I'll try to answer a couple.

The wooden clip tool... There is paperwork in the box that explains it's use. Read the paperwork titled Maintenance and Troubleshooting for the explanation. If you didn't get it e-mail me, please.

The wooden tool is birch. It is not a cap or a cup and is not intended to be used as anything other than a clip tool. It is not intended that you apply Buzz-Butter to the tool either. So wipe it off well before using it. You don't want any Buzz-Butter on the metal parts of the heat exchanger.

The other point is draw with your mouth instead of your diaphram. As you say it can be like a milk shake, you can suck on the straw rather than draw with your lungs. Slow and steady is best. Actually the harder you draw the more compact the load becomes and the more difficult it becomes... Easier draws make for easier draws.

Made my decision. PD is it. Once I get back from vacation its time to get on the waiting list! No more vapir for you!

Welcome to the forum JDSupreme. Thanks for your interest.

There will not be a waiting list any more. ;) Just glued the plywood bottoms in 30 more for Vapenow. >=50% of the remaining list. About 30 to go. After that (the end of the list), as promised to Pammy, a bit of a break. A short vacation that she deserves very much.

When we return, from vacation, VapeNow.com will still be our trusted partner and exclusive retailer of assembled Purple Days Diffusers. But, there won't be a wait list.

So far we both agree to these concepts though they are not written in stone:

Sell: Stock on the shelf. Made in USA (in my little shop) and in Vapenow's hands, ready to ship.

No: Amazon. No over-packaging (and reshipment) by them or a third party delay, no bar-codes or extra miles wasting resources. They will be sent to you, in the original, low impact package design, that I had in mind from the very beginning.

Out of Stock: When Vapenow is sold out of units on the shelf, they will be out of stock till the next delivery arrives. They will receive, what I can produce, then sell them.

The wait list was an idea that didn't work well. It got out of hand. I cannot possibly produce this product, in the quantities needed to supply demand and the over-run, wait list, proves that.

I will not sacrifice the quality of the build, or the material quality, nor safety, for the sake of profit or more units. They will be ready when they are ready. For sale when they are available. When they're not available they won't be for sale.

VapeNow.com will work out the details. There may be a new kink or two to the lineup. We are running low on the dark chocolate Paisley leather and it will be discontinued as a choice. There's still enough to offer as a Pandora choice, but not as a production item.

@Tom

Definitely good decision making sir- cut out amazon, no wait list , they are available when they are available period.

saves money, time, resources, the environment.

I think it should be much more efficient this way and efficiency is key.

Also, I noticed that a lot of the glass distributors operate in a similar manner to this.
They will have the picture's up and it just says unavailable and when they get a new shipment it changes.

Tom, your work ethic is second to none as is your product - it's the same kind of work ethic that used to make America go round in its pride and glory days.

As an aside if anyone here lives in North Carolina I saw someone has a used Pd for sale near Raleigh for $120 on craigslist -

Thanks guys. We never liked the idea of a wait list. Always gave me stress. Now, (after the list is fulfilled) I can go back to making them at my pace. Take a day off, take a week, no worries.

Still not sure what shape it will take, but I am talking with Vapenow about offering a second wood choice when we return... :D

Oh man, I remember that unit (^^^for sale on craigslist), the picture was in the PD experience thread. Figured Cherry. Very unusual for Cherry.

I would like to know why if the list is almost done, approx 30 units left, and I am almost 400 order numbers away from the end of the list, where is my order? Are these order numbers posted by SSS for all orders at vapenow? Meaning any product, not just pd's?

Tom, you may want to contact VapeNow. They are still requesting payment in order to be put on a waiting list.

Thanks L, just checked and it says Sold Out, just as it has for quite a bit now. Until we (Vapenow and Purple-Days) work out the final shape of things to come it wouldn't due to make a brand new webpage.

And with Pammy and I taking a little break after the list is complete there is no rush to make the change, I'm sure.

Sold Out is good enough since they are not taking orders. The rest doesn't matter (and is old text that no longer applies). When the time comes I'm sure they will make a page that reflects the new system. :)
