Off-topic: Check post #328 on previous page, vendor "Vnice" on alibaba. With Paypal you just have to use the "send money" option and specify the recipient e-mail and the amount. The guy will probably try to make you handle the paypal fees, you can negotiate that (but I didn't care) I didn't ask for other shipping methods as I really needed it "express" expedited, but it might be possible to lower the price here too.

From what I read today on the Grasshopper blog it is now scheduled to come out in July.

Yeah I'd def say go for a more convection-oriented vape since the Ascent is already conduction. (Firewood or Thermovape T1 could be good companions to an Ascent). Grasshopper could be IT, if it delivers on the promises. I will definitely be preordering one asap since I have faith.
Grabbed a vapormax v at a good low price thanks to the FC'ers who shared the links. After
4 good sessions on one chamber filling, I am impressed. My unit provides great clouds. I wrapped it with carbon fiber to hide the hideous gold finish. I also put a small screen inside the mouthpiece after pulling out the ceramic filter. Unless this vape is using an asbestos chamber fed by lead solder based wire connections, traveling through a matrix of off-gassing silicon, I am quite happy with this little monster. It delivers bigger clouds than my 2nd gen. Davinci. It heats up faster than my PnP ever did. It travels better than my solo did.
And it costs less than half of the fickle Pax. It is quite thrifty with your herb. Even abv, nice dark roast. It does not stink, or get hot. Whats the catch?????? It does start to draw hot after 3-4 pulls due to the short vapor path. Even at $100+ it still blows bigger clouds than my $300 Elevape. It may crap the bed at any moment, but until then it is the one I carry in the truck for treating my glaucoma........Hope the rest of you owners are having similar experiences.

I was also following the ELevape thread. Even with the Elevape on higher settings, the FLowermate produces bigger clouds? If that's the case, I'm glad I passed on that one. Looking forward to receiving one of these $71 vapes
I was trying to give a relative comparison to the elevape. My experience with the Elevape on setting 1 has not generated the clouds I am getting from the VV. No disrespect to the Elevape, I just have not been able to dial in my temps as yet with that unit. @Kaptan pm me if you need persuading on the Elevape, it is ahead of the rest of the pack in many ways, but I digress. Get a VV if you are on a budget and want effective results at bargain basement prices. If your needs require a medical grade vaporizer, this may not be the best choice. If you are looking for a device that delivers the goods and is easy on the wallet, join together with the band.

VERY surprised if you say this outclouds the Elevape, which has 3 user programmable heat settings? Ditto I've been curious and watching that one too, but the $300 pricetag scared me away from that one.
My Green FMVV (FlowerMate Vapormax V) was delivered today (as well as my GB-189 but that's for a different FC thread). I got home, box was very small, cut it open with my OpenX, unwrapped and saw it was shrinkwrapped, phew #1. It comes nicely and luxuriously packaged in a high quality nesting box, so props for presentation, but my worthless Atmos Raw was similarly packaged, so we know how non-important that is.
I'll answer what most are curious about first. Does it medicate well? I'll agree with everyone else the answer is YES. I would say the vape signature for me is HIGHLY similar to the Pinnacle Pro, meaning a more conduction-based high which for me is more body mellowing, chamber seems to hold just a bit less material than a bullet. Also I do kief sandwiches in my PnP bullets, but I won't be putting kief into the FMVV oven chamber as I'm afraid it would gunk it up.
Back to the other stuff, so I opened it up and immediately removed the mouthpiece and plugged the unit into the charger which blinked red twice then went steady red. I unscrewed the mouthpiece parts, separated the ceramic screen and put it all the mp parts into a small ultrasonic jewelry cleaner with some dish soap, hoping that would accelerate the silicon smell removal (it did a little). I let that sit for about 20 minutes, then rinsed it all out and went to give the unit a spin while it's charging.
Loaded up the chamber with a couple scoops of finely ground flowers (I don't weigh, sorry), it can get messy, would appreciate anybody's tips for easy dump and load on the go. Turned on the unit (I like the led chamber light so far) and before you know it, the green ready light was on, boy that was QUICK, much quicker than PnP as @mephisto mentioned above. VERY impressed with the heat up time, that rivals the Herbalizer for crying out loud. I did take a couple puffs during heat up to grab some of that low temp bouquet vapor.
Took a few pulls to get the herb heat soaked and then I took puff after puff of very nice clouds, I'd say the equivalent of PnP green level 2, high creeped a bit but once going was very nice as described above and lasted quite well. It was warm but not cough inducing (but I have conditioned my throat for hot dry vapor with the PnP). Vapor pooped out for me about 5 minutes into the session, but I was taking continuous puffs off of it and I like deep draws, so I may spend a load faster than others.
I had to go out and came back about 2.5 hours later to a green fully charged FMVV.
I will be using this instead of my PnP as a portable for now as I'm awaiting the gPong exchange program which has yet to materialize, although the PnP is much easier to empty and load with it's bullet system, I'll have to figure something out to do with this if I want more than one session on the go, I may have to carry a Jyarz of grounds and a scoop around with it.
Here are some more specific thoughts:
BUILD QUALITY - Is excellent, very solid feeling, not a cheap toy. EXCEPT for the bottom and top doors, which are plastic and while they close tightly now, I agree with others who have said they are afraid of those loosening and being useless over time. Otherwise, it's a quality piece, well thought out and executed. I am not going to comment on the airpath issue, that's been covered plenty and I am fine with this for what it is and it seems safe enough.
I actually found it to be smaller than expected, I'm always fooled about size by pictures. Palms well, seems like good stealth quality.
The unit gets warm but nowhere near as hot as the PnP gets, so no trouble at all to hold the entire thing with no discomfort. Do watch out for the metal MP parts though as those get quite hot, not touchable, but they cool down fast.
EASE OF USE - Super easy, load, put on mp, turn on, inhale.
MEDICATION EFFECTIVENESS - as stated above, quite good, I feel equivalent to PnP, which is my only real portable unit experience.
Like others, I am concerned with durability over time, especially the plastic doors and also the oven. It seems easy to keep clean by just dumping and occasional brush out but only time will tell me if its surrounding area will get as sticky and difficult to clean as the top of my PnP.
In conclusion for the $71.43 I paid, I am more than satisfied, it works as well as reported and is good quality. I don't think I would pay more than $100 for this though and much more satisfied since I paid even less than that. Won't really know the true value until I have time to see how this thing lasts, but in the short term I wholeheartedly confirm all of the positive things that have been said so far by others.

@as £79 is equal to $133.50 American. None of those prices are very competitive.
@tiukauleh The term "disposable" doesn't mean its crap. Throwing the term disposable around means it works great, its cheap, and if it breaks...so what, buy a new one.

I'm no vapeologist for sure but...that vape is worth a hundred bucks or so, maybe even a little more. IMHO
If you can wrangle it for less, outstanding. For those that had the 'nad to gamble and got in the ground floor of the IPO, good for you. That's the way it's supposed to work. I don't know that I would get all emotional over the price increase, that's kinda the way IPO's are supposed to work but honestly, without knowing that little piece of history and just looking at that market and the number of products that have mediocre at best performance, it's a real contender at the $100 or so mark.
So, thanks to the board for turning me on to the product and taking the time and effort to pass all the info along.

I disagree, you can get a much more trusted brand and trusted air path(This one doesn't seem bad but the makers not saying exactly whats inside is not cool...) for that price that does the same thing, hell you can get a Davinci for 100-120 that has exact temp control.
I mean its your money, vote with your wallet, etc...
This thing was a winner at the 60-70 price tag most likely, and like other posters said if this started at 100+ dollars this thread would be 2 pages long right now, I tend to agree.
Example: My friend was gonna order one of these, saw the increase, didn't wanna deal with it anymore and just bought a more trusted vape for that price.

If I believed everything I read in the paper or saw on the news, I would rarely leave my house. Don't always just believe what you read, do some research yourself. They ban a different brand of dogfood at least once a year. Take the weather for example. That's in the paper every day. how accurate is that?
The warranty is not an issue if it is at a super competitive price, that's the point of the entry level vaporizer. It would probably cost half the amount of the unit to ship it to and from China. Warranty on a $60 vape would not concern you. Its like asking for a warranty for $60 in gas. if you used it for 6 months solid and it were to break, I'd say you got your moneys worth IMO.
I have 2 launch boxes. I love them, But I'm used to them. they are on the lower priced side, but cumbersome with the extra batteries. You can not hand your MFLB to a newbie and not expect him to toast your whole oven and barely get a hit. You have a lot of explaining to do which will turn most people off because, why put effort into trying to learn a vaporizer when you know how to combust.
I'm upset because the vapormax makes believers out of combusters. Its just plain simple to use
I refer to my vapormax as the idiot proof box, because you can just hand it to a newbie and they will be fine with it, and like it (in my case they will even buy one off me). As long as you know how to inhale, you pretty much got the vapormax mastered.
Its the first step from combusting to vaporizing that is so hard for people to do.
This vaporizer could change that if its the same price or less than a sack costs you.
With a $50-$60 price tag, they sell themselves.
Maybe I feel this way because I've been vaping for so long that the smell off someone smoking a pipe makes me sick to my stomach. I wont allow combustion in my house, then again, that's just me.
If Smiss were keep the vapormax at $50-$60 their warehouses would be empty.

Second the Solo as a great reliable first vape for cheap (puffitup matches authorized eBay prices I believe so ~$130). MFLB requires more technique but is solid if gotten for real cheap, also a firewood is wood and similarly manual but different heating technology. Ascent is perfectly fine (offgassing was only the initial launch model), but can't find for less than around 200 so not even in your price range. Original Da Vinci is though. Check the threads
