On a listening note... I'm currently watching The Concert in Central Park for the second time in a row. I would kill to have been a fly on the wall there...

Recently got into the Sword, great references to Tolkien, George R.R. Martin and Howard, if you like stoner rock you should check these guys out!

Sorry I don't have any covers to post but considering you all like music I might have something good to share. Just hop on over to the free Pandora thread I just started. You might just find some new music and album covers to get into. Commercial free!

blankrider,
Jeez Iwien you are double posting all over the place man.

I was fortunate enough in the mid 90s to meet Jeff Buckley. I saw him perform 3 times including one acoustic performance with his band. Certainly the greatest I have ever seen.

I do miss album covers. In fact I miss albums. These days it is all about the single or the download. The other day I said to someone, "Wow, do you know it has been 20 years since Kurt Died?". The response, "Who is Kurt?". Fuck.
Anyway, here are a couple of faves;

These are some of my all time favorites. No specific order in which they are listed. I am also attaching the links to the albums. I hope you guys enjoy this list ;), its my life soundtrack. I wanted to list more albums from these bands but also wanted to keep this list concise but most of these bands have other amazing albums.

Based on this list if you have any suggestions for music please let me know.

My face is melting...
My brother scored that David Gilmour LP right before the prudes made the record company put a black box across that fine ass. Maybe '86 or '87? Definately spank-worthy by the standards of the time. I wonder if it's worth much:hmm:

I used to have an extensive Yes collection. Their covers were always stare worthy.

It was Roger Water's debut solo album in 1984 @basement farmer ;)

For some reason I was thinking he got it during either my first or second freshman year at college. Thanks for clarifying that up for me. I must be getting old and forgetful :myday:. I really hope it's worthless because I fear it may be mixed in with some of my old LPs and baking in my Ex-wife's attic:uhoh:

By the way you have an amazing list there lady. :clap:

I've never heard of most of them, and I spent many an hour in the used LP bins during my six years of undergrad that also coincided with the decline of vinyl. CDs were coming on strong a nd it was possible to sample cheaply.
