I was actually talking about just leaving the charger itself plugged into the wall after I disconnect the Solo. Does it hurt the charger to do that?
No it doesn't. There is a small amount of current flowing so it'll probably add a nickel to your monthly power bill. Maybe even a dime.

Adapter Longevity: I don't find any supporting information that states that it damages the adapter.
Cost: It will consume power. Only milliamps though. Will you save money on your power bill if you unplug it? maybe pennies.
Safety: There is not a single plug-pack ever approved (and all units sold should be type approved) that is not designed for continuous operation, load or no load. They also have a built-in thermal fuse in the windings to prevent overheating.

Sorry, my misunderstanding.
I think the general answer ('don't sweat it, it's only a little bit of power') is sound. Here's a simple 'test' to decide such things (and it also 'protects' against an out of spec wall wort): Look for heat. Power drawn from the wall and not used to charge a battery has only one place to go.....making heat. Looked at another way 'heat costs money'. If the device is cold to the touch in standby, it's not wasting much power at all. OTOH, things like say your router (that are warm even when doing nothing) are wasting some power, perhaps worth concern. A WW that runs warm (or worse, hot) when plugged in and not doing anything could also well be defective, which is OK if you rent I guess, but best to not burn the homestead down otherwise?

My favorite vaporizer, my m1e solo, has been acting up lately. Sometimes when I go to turn it on it just turns itself off and the blue idle like starts blinking erratically. Or when I go to charge it, it just loops in circles of booting up but never starts charging. It also has a tendency to turn off half way through a cycle sometimes. I looked around for a fix on the internet and the best advice was on reddit, which was to bang it bottom down on a table firmly. One tap seems to fix the problem every time it comes up, but it leads me to wonder what the actual problem is if physical impact fixes it?

Same thing I explained happen to m1d aswell, it's a faulty battery I believe, should happen about the first 1-2 months of buying it depending on how heavy you use it. Mine died in 24 days of heavy use lol. Arizer will replace.
Just an update, received my unit from VapesandParts on eBay. It is a solid unit, had an official Canadian customs stamp on the inner solo box, and had all parts. The unit works well, and I'm very happy. All for $134.99 shipped fed ex. Even got here a day early.
This seller is also sayin he will honor all arizer warranty services to boot.
Anyway, just an update like I said. Seems like a very good seller IMO.

My newer model Solo went on the fritz about 6 weeks after I received it. I was told it sounded like a battery. I could only use it plugged in. It wouldnt heat up unplugged. From the day I sent my unit back it took PIU 9 days to get another Solo to my house. Very fast and reliable service.

I just wanted to report that, aside from the longer charge and heat up times, the solo has my firefly beat. And at nearly half the price.
The vapor is smooth and cool (at setting 2, anyway), there are copious clouds, and it is basically idiot-proof as far as I can tell. And it is easier to clean than my firefly.
The firefly looks cool, and if I wanted a quick hit, I might still reach for it. But as long as I can spare a minute waiting for my solo to heat up, I'd prefer it over my firefly.
Also, about leaving the stem in the unit loaded with half-vaped flower: do you guys think it will work if I shut it off, and then hit it one last time to cool it down?

Sure, it took a couple minutes to build up the heat, it's not going away 'at the flip of a switch'. I habitually let it time out and take a hit or two (sometimes even a bit more) anyway.
If you want to shut it down fast (and save as much as possible), pull the stem out.
