Hey @ataxian - I think I'm starting to go a little mad with all this new cheap glass :science:
r6MiE3Q.jpg

Lotus into 14mm Cliesen (with a glass stopper from OGB), Into a honeycomb/turbine AC (14mm), Into the body of a 12" inline bent neck bubbler (thickassglass), into a 15degree angled 18mm male to 14mm female adapter, into a 50mm male to male extension, into a helix jet mouthpiece (sunshinestore).

PHEW! It's a lungfull to hit, takes a bit to milk it, but works GREAT when using reclaim soaked cotton!

Nice and clear view of the Lotus, and I can actually see some turbine action from the overhead view of that AC. I'm actually enjoying this setup - this should tide me over as an alternative to my D020 for another week or two until I find my next glass purchase

Yes friends, my GAS is in full effect :freak:

Love these Rube Goldberg creations. I don't have enough glass to play along, but it's fun to observe. :)

Total cost for that setup was around $130 (minus the lotus of course). I got the D020 and then decided to switch gears (because I was happy with that performance to start), and started to buy accessories so I can create some cool setups. Since each piece was so cheap ($36 for the most expensive part), I was able to buy each piece over the past month

I might try switching out the angled mouthpiece for my PNWT knockoff and see how smooth I can get this reclaim to taste with 3 water chambers.

With my 20-T that I ordered yesterday (already shipped per SunshineStore) the only other thing I'm looking to buy soon is a J-Hook for the Lotus. I think I'll get the Lotus one, if for no other reason than I got the Lotus elsewhere and I think I should give them some love. :)

Salutations FlyingLow,

Actually i'm surprized the company doesn't offer a killer kit with everything verified to match between configurations.

:peace:
And now we do offer such a kit that has the J hook, WPA and standard stem kit. Thanks for the great ideas, of which this is only one. You forum members really help us make a better product. Much appreciated.

I got to be honest with you Max!
I hated the LOTUS at first!
When I changed my torch (thanks @jambandphan03 for the link)

The other night I felt like smoke a joint! I did have the desire!
Well my wife would not let me.
The LOTUS was like a joint however healthier.
Before bed this little beast will knock you out hard!

Love this thing!

Thanks Max!

Kind regards,
ataxian

Righteous! Like the price. How does this one compare to the Honest lighter that comes with the kit?
I hate recomend something and throw things under the bus.

I have the lighter however never used it. Since I had a $26 lighter I thought I would have more than enough to operate the LOTUS. Wrong!
This double torch lighter first session I was medicating just fine!

Salutations Max Jitter,

That's a good thing to read that! So i searched the new product page and found this one:

Well, it's becoming increasing difficult to resist... Thank you for letting me know!

:peace:

You'd be mad to resist. As a matter of fact, I'm beginning to think you're a little mad for having resisted for as long as you have.

Salutations Tom Funk,

You'd be mad to resist.

Actually it's simply a matter of touching (in Montreal/Canada) before i buy...

As a matter of fact, I'm beginning to think you're a little mad for having resisted for as long as you have.

That would be frustration and i'd be lying if i pretended i'm not affected by the overall situation!

:peace:

Anyone else here getting headaches after a long session with the Lotus? I'd been getting them for the past 2-3 weeks, usually during and right after a session, which lingered for 20-40 minutes.

I thought nothing really of it (I never get headaches, so it was a little strange). I thought it was related to the sinus infection I've been fighting off recently. But someone else mentioned on another thread about the butane causing headaches.

I'm pretty certain this is what's causing my headaches, but I'd like to hear from anyone else. Have you had headaches while using indoors? Did you find a workaround (fans blowing?). I'm probably going to need to find a 3rd vape to use indoors, and try to use the Lotus in a well ventilated environment for the time being.

Are you using high quality butane? There is always going to be some that doesn't burn off, but there should be a lot less with the purer butane.

Going to try vaping near a window/outside for the next few days to see what happens. Been using the same butane since I got the Lotus - some 5x refined butane. What's some good ultra refine butane brands?

Are you also using a hammer? I find the hammer can give me headaches, but have not experienced any side effects with the Lotus/Honest lighter

Nope, don't have a hammer nor have I used one. What kind of butane are you using in your torch?

I find this a cumulative effect - usually only notice it later in the evening/weekends when I've already done several sessions with the vape. I thought it might have been an effect of simply vaping too much, but after reading about the butane headaches, I'm wondering if that's my problem.

It's a mold/moderate headache, nothing like a migrane, but enough that it's starting to get annoying.

Could it be lingering fumes from your 3D printing in combination with the butane from your lighter?

While it's true, 3D printing does off-gass (especially when printing with the ABS which I prefer), all my home 3D printers are offline (rebuilding/upgrading one, the other has a broken belt).

The only 3D printing I've done for the past 2 months has been on my work 3D printer (Makerbot). So I don't think it's caused by that (Plus I sit in my office with a 3d printer running the whole day sometimes and I don't have any problems with it despite a lack of proper ventilation for the unit)
