@Indica Vaporizer : knowing that you care about such matters and that you are around on this forum, improving your product and listening to us, is a great relief!

I'll definitely recommend your vaporizer and might even buy one, if only the UPS shipping fees to Europe were not so ridiculous (half the product price!) Please consider "international registered USPS" as a slower but more economical option (and as a bonus we would be less likely to get the additionnal custom taxes)

I'm checking into this option and will compare the two with and without custom tax. Thanks for the suggestion. Answers soon to follow.

I've been testing my battery and I'm not unhappy about the first test :

3 sessions, each of them 2 back to back 10 minute sessions on red.
During the 4th session the battery gave up around 1/3th of the second part
of the 2 back to back 10 minute session on red. (so about 13 ish minutes)
So that is 3 x 20 minute sessions on red and one 13 minute session on red.
next test is with cool down between each session on red and a test with
different temps.
Anybody else who is having similar results?

I was thinking of getting a Pax for my next vape, a friend of mine got one and I really enjoy his each time I've used it. He said he loved it, but his two main complaints were, how much it took to fill up the chamber and the constant clean after a couple of sessions. But from what I've been reading this Indica model pretty much has those weak spots taken care of along with some more bonuses. So I was wondering if anyone could tell me what,( if any) are some of the drawback or weak spots on the Indica?

From what I read it sounds like the Indica almost hands down beats the Pax, and the Pax seems like a popular model with consumers.

A couple of years ago I got myself a Vapir No2 and I've loved it. It has gotten used several times a day, pretty much every single day since I got it in the mail! But I think it's on its last leg, and I been wanting to move up a step anyways. Really thinking of going with the Indica.... just wanna be sure...

Thank you, this is one of the things holding me off a purchase, this and waiting for the replaceable battery option with the programming upgrades. (And a black model if I'm very lucky)

I've noticed with the Indica the more erb you put in the better it works. It still works adequate with a small amount, just better fully packed.

Some minor improvements in my opinion would be to have the unit come on at last used setting. Also go back to the magnetic metal door for the bowl. I don't see the plastic ones that come with it lasting, and the plastic tabs that hold it in place on the unit will also likely wear in time. And of course the base model should black, camouflage, or anything discreet..

Overall I really like the Indica so far, the electronic flavor seems to be fading, its fast and easy to clean, very comfortable in my pocket.

I will be doing a review of the Indica vaporizer next week. If anyone has anything in particular they want me to touch on Please let me know on this thread.

I would like to do an Indica - PAX comparison as well, because so many people are torn between the two.
I haven't seen a Indica - PAX comparison on here, unless I missed it.(let me know if I did not see it)

So let me know if you guys want a comparison test after my Indica review to try to help you guys make up your minds, please let me know.

If you want to see a comparison test just "like" this post so we don't clog up the Indica thread and depending on the amount of likes, I will proceed.
Thanks

Yea, that would be great. I've looked on youtube a couple of times for one, but no such luck. I'm so torn on getting my self a Pax or the Indcia that I just can't decide. I want one that will be good for several sessions a day. I would proably have to do a good cleaning every other night on it. But the Indica being a fairly new company kinda puts me off just a bit. They really haven't been out long enough to see how well they hold up!

Got mine a few days back. Haven't been able to be thorough with it - just a couple of sessions. I find myself wanting more vapor and going up to Red for that. But the flavor is not as good at Red as it is at lower temps. Overall, the flavour is pretty good and the feel & look of the product is awesome. Need some more time with it.

+1 to a full black, stealth version & special thanks to Mike for expediting the delivery!

I personally haven't had a problem with the vapor production . I get descent clouds on green with a long slow drag . They are not monster clouds , but the payoff is great .

I have now been using the Indica for almost 2 weeks and I have to say I am very happy with it, the taste is good for a conduction vape, especially in the green setting ( I don´t usually go any lower ) and even in the purple and red settings it never tastes bad like other models would at that temps.

In terms of vapor production the device delivers good clouds on purple and red, and even in the green setting you have some decent visible vapor.
I have had success with any kind of load size from full chamber to a 1/6 of a chamber always medium to hard packing ( roughly 0.3g to 0.05 g ) and was able to get clouds regardless of load size.

The battery seems pretty good to me , when comparing with models from the same segment, and one can easily achieve the manufacter claim of 1.5 hours of continuous use.

I only have one con, the chamber door... where to start?
The first one that came with the device broke spontaneously after a session without me apllying any kind of force to it... it just broke within the first week of use ( the plastic part )
So i grabbed the spare part baggie and took the extra door out, but it seems just as flimsy, and it feels it will break in the exact same spot... And to make matters worse it wiggles and falls from its place leaving the chamber open and exposed... So now I am in constant fear of loosing the only chamber door I have lef rendering the device uselless.
@Indica Vaporizer is there anything that you can do to solve this issue?
I have to say I love the device, but this issue is really bothering me.
Cheers

@ ma125 , although the plastic on the oven lid probably isn't the most durable , I don't feel like it is a problem or even a threat of a problem on my unit . Maybe the area where the oven lid attaches to the unit itself is defective causing it to hang up or catch funny . Have you noticed anything out of the ordinary about the unit itself around the opening to the oven ?? BTW , mine is definitely not loose either . It actually fits very tight and doesn't move without me moving it .

Yeah maybe I just got a bad batch of oven doors, or I am just out of luck, because it is the only issue I have with the device... I don´t think it is a problem with the area where the lid attaches because my first oven door had a tight fit too, until it broke spontaneously...
I only have the issue of the lid falling with my spare ... so I am pretty sure it is a bad oven door/lid problem and not an issue with the device itself

I'm actually a big fan of the lower temps too (particularly since they're lower than the Solo's 365 minimum), I often will do a full session or two on blue (and yes, I even get sizeable clouds throughout) before I step up to green (I've even seen a few thin wispy clouds on cyan actually, after it gets cooking a little). I love the heady-flying feeling so much that often ebough i don't even get so much vapor on purple and red because I already did 3 sessions at the lower temps first!

@Shit Snacks You will love my review, you are quite like me. I like flavor and could care less about clouding out a room.

I will be posting 2 Indica reviews tonight or tomorrow.
One for the Indica unit, all 5 temp settings, and one for the "masses" starting on green which most people prefer.

These are very thorough reviews with battery life, heat up times, session lengths, taste, amount used, vapor quality & production, re-charge time, ambient room temperature (relative to heat up times) etc...

I did make a small mod to my mouthpiece and it works amazingly, these reviews were done with the mod, and no screen, on a full charge.

All I did for the mod was take the mouthpiece off and cautiously drill the hole out to 2/32, then 3/32nds which is the inside diameter of the tube (as not to remove the "funnel", or "horn" from the inside). I took my time and was able to drill without removing the "horn" on the inside of the mouthpiece. IMO it reduced draw resistance by approximately 30%.

Stay tuned guys both reviews will be coming shortly!

Yup! The Indica works best with a pretty full pack (not that it doesnt work wonderfully with smaller packs too), and with a full pack you can easily hit three sessions, and often enough you will go beyond. Furthest i got was close to five 10 minute sessions out of one pack.

@Vape Dr. !!! Looking forward to you review! Dont get me wrong though, while I love the effects of the low temps I really do love me some clouds as well (something about visual confirmation of your hit i guess, although seeing a thinner cloud can often mean more of it got inside you so ive come to appreciate that as well). One thing i find so impressive about the Indica is how nice and big the clouds are even on blue/358, it just demosntrates how efficient the Indica is at extraction, thats its able to pull thick vapor at such a low temp (ofcourse most any desktop would do the same, and the Indica does this best with a full pack, but the Indica is a conduction portable!).

Hmm, interesting about the mouthpiece hole, sometimes i do feel as though there is a little draw resistance so its good to hear that opening up the mouthpiece just a tiny bit improves it that much. That is definitely something @Indica Vaporizer should take into consideration for the future...

Mike is aware of it and I think he's on board. I should mention the medicine I used was sour diesel.

Believe it or not @Shit Snacks I got visible vapor on #1 and #2.
With the mouthpiece mod you can hit light/medium up to green then light hits on #4 & #5.

I do highly recommend carefully drilling out the mouthpiece. It makes a world of difference.

Of course I have to mention to use caution as not to destroy the horn (you actually only need one side of the horn IMO) and PLEASE PLEASE TAKE OFF THE MOUTHPIECE BEFORE DRILLING AS NOT TO HURT YOUR INDICA if you choose to do this mod! Also you don't want shavings up in there and get a Q-tip up in there.

I only have the issue of the lid falling with my spare ... so I am pretty sure it is a bad oven door/lid problem and not an issue with the device itself
The newest doors are snug and tight.
If you have a looser one, just lay a small square of aluminum foil down over the spacer (it can stick out on all sides.. it is OK) and then put the oven door on right over the foil. Your door will be snug and tight, and you can re-use same foil dozens of times.

Thanks @Vitolo, that´s a very good idea, and I will try that when I get home tonight.
Also I must say @Indica Vaporizer reached out to me and he is going to fix this issue sending me some functional doors.
Great costumer service, I could not be happier!!

So, I have checked my last oven door and it is already cracking in the same exact spot as the first one... So unfortunately it should break any time now.
I was wondering if anyone else had this exact issue? I hope not and this was just a bad mold or something that caused a bad batch of doors, because I did not read anyone reporting this problem.
Still super happy with my purchase and the CS given by Indica Vaporizer

another easy but effective mod is putting a small "pricing" sticker on the bottom over the
usb port, the sticker releases easy so no sticky residu and you have no more air comming
trough the usb port so you'll have more vapor.

I've been fine so far with a finger, but not a bad solution if some should need.

Got my Indica over the weekend and so far, I really love it. The look is great, the feel of the device is very sturdy (and it's fun to open and close the lid sometimes).

Done three 20 minute sessions with it so far and very happy. I'm generally around the green level where I like the taste and vapor production. I'll play with it more this week and post some more follow up thoughts, but so far I love my purchase.

The only minor issue is the airflow restriction on the draw. It should be a little bigger and it'd be fine, but for the moment the current opening restricts the draw a bit too much.

These on coming suggestions and helpful guidance have led me to make future changes in the mouthpiece, @Dr Vape, in the near future production as well as the correction of the air seal near the USB, @Belgianvapor and @KeroZen when the new mold is completed for the replaceable battery. All these improvements will be seen in the months ahead and are greatly appreciated.

I haven't had any issues with the door yet but I can see it being an issue down the road. Plastic on plastic holds it in place. Why not be all metal and magnetic? Maybe have a small piece of plastic on the outside if heat is an issue. I'm going to carefully try the mod drvape suggested, draw is a little restricted as is. Also I haven't noticed a difference when blocking the USB port.

That said, I like the unit and think it works fine as is.....

Its important to keep up on cleaning the Vape passage with pipe cleaners, once plugged it won't work, the strange thing is the draw restriction seems the same so you don't always know its plugged, but no cloud. So if it seems its not working, snake her out and she's like new!! If going on road trip bring a pipe cleaner!! I had to use a paperclip in a pinch....

Happy vaping!
