Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud EVO

I had a strange light show with my EVO today. The unit heated up quickly. But the light never went from red to green. To the touch it was warm. I turned it off then back on. It flashed 3 red flashes then a pause.. then 3 red flashes again.. I just turned the unit off. Turned it back on right away and it stayed a solid red. I turned the dial all over the spectrum and it never went green even at the "coldest" setting. Tried it a few hours later and it worked. Light turned green, heat is fine. :hmm:

If anyone knows what this means I would very much appreciate the info.. :peace:
Sounds like the overheat problems we have been reading about. I wouldn't worry about it until it produces a problem.

Is there anyone that hasn't needed to get their cloud serviced?

Im hesitant to order after looking back on both threads. Half of all the posts are people having issues.
I'm assuming you mean EVO only because you are in the EVO thread. I have had mine since the beginning no hiccups yet.

EDIT: just checked and I got mine on 11-17-13

I got mine Dec. 21 2013....If I'm home it's on and at temp (hell I'm only home for a lunch break now and it's heating up as I type!). It has run lots of ELB's and I haven't had a single issue with it yet. It produces tasty vapor at 12 and beyond on the dial. It does make sounds when heating and cooling but the bamboo is in one piece so far. So in summary Yes, there is at least 1 EVO out here that has worked perfectly since day 1!!

It's called the "VapeXhale Cloud Evo". They are all Clouds.

While this is technically true...I've never heard the new one called anything but an EVO. In my mind the cloud is the old version. :2c:

How do you guys go about using your EVO portable for a bit? It has that capability doesn't it?

Yay my VapeXNail's got shipped today. That's pretty fast :-).

Now either to make a special trip to get the concentrate, or wait till I need flowers.... That is the question LOL.

Oh also to the person wondering about Cloud EVO reliability, knock on wood, mine has been good since I think January is when I got it.

I am in the same boat. My EVO has never had issues and I loved since the day I got it. I got it during the IGG campaign.

You unplug and vape off of its heat retention, I imagine only good for a pull or two.

I don't even own an EVO and I know the answer?
@Mud

With a cordless EVO,
there's enough heat retention, at a decent temperature setting, to fully vape an entire bowl or dab.

During this Southern California heatwave, I have been heating up my unit in my room, unplugging, and then leisurely vaping an ELB in the shade of my backyard. The no cord option isn't perfect but nice to have for sure.

Nice man, it gets even hotter where I live :p when you unplug do you turn the unit off before you pull the plug? Or just pull and go

Thanks for the replies guys. Appreciate it. I haven't been aware of any problems. I have been using my cloud everyday since I got it. It only did that thing once. Never a problem. Just the light show. Which resolved itself withing minutes. I love my Evo..

I have one and my friend has one. Neither ever had a problem or even have cleaned them. Clean the glass, and get past the learning curve just like any other vape

Anyone having an issue with hydratubes and the hydrafoot casusing water to drop to lower portion of the hydratube?

What I mean is if I leave my Swagger Circ on the Hydrafoot for long periods of time, the Hydrafoot design by not having a whole in the 18MM joint of the Hydrafoot causes water pressure to rise over the tip of the water drop down portion to the next chamber. So with the build up and a pull of the Hydratube off of the hydrafoot I am constantly having water fall in the lower tube of my Swagger Circ for that very reason. This causes me to have to refill my Swagger Circ more often than I need to.

Will we see a better design in the hydrafoot? Why is the hydrafoot not completely open through it?

I always thought that was part of the design, that the lower part is for overflow?

I know the design works as intended but it overflows for no reason due to the hydraFoot design. If you remove VERY slowly it will not overflow, but if you forget it will bounce right into the overflow. I added pics above.

Yes, these hydrafoot lock the hot air in the bottom of used HT and as it coolds down, the resulting underpressure sucks some water up the perc.
It never overflowed in my HTs (my circ has slightly taller perc so it's difficult to overflow and my Vertigotree has too little air volume in the bottom to make any serious underpressure.)
But I'm getting the same water level as on that photo after cooling my circ on a HF.
If it overflows for you, you can just lift the HT for a sec to let some air in when it's cooling down.
You can also just use slighty lower water level, that would also singnificantly reduce the water level in the perc when underpressured.

I get that behavior with my beloved swagcycler, functionality want's it filleld to the rim but if I place it on the Hydrafoot and remove it it will overfill the overflow chamber and drip out below in a siphon effect.:o
My guess is it's due to hand production tolerances.

First time I was near my Evo, now I watch out and don't place it on the Hydrafoot when in use.
Just too much hassle cleaning up the floor and refilling the tube every time
