After having the LSV for about a month now i feel the best way for me to get totally blasted is to leave it on for around 10 mins at 3 o'clock. Then turning the dial back to around 11 o'clock waiting for it to cool and taking small hits like a cigar as advised by Lwien and stirring every 2-3 puffs . I get very little coughing if any and the flavour is amazing for a while. i still get clouds but only got this after adjusting the HC as it was too low. Never thought i would say this but now i have semi mastered this via the transfer wand i may be ready for some water. Cool hits that don't irritate is the next step. Like peeps always say draw speed has a lot to do with it, think i was hitting to hard to start so didn't get any clouds. Now my draw speed has slowed considerably and i don't get that whirring sound when inhaling.

You definitely have to get used to it. Coming from the Solo the lack of draw resistance made it so that even when I thought I was getting a slow draw speed I was probably hitting it way too hard.

During the day when I have projects I like the SOLO with a PHVES.
113 seal and a CHILLUM TIP.
For a self induced coma the LSV hands down will deliver.

I guess it depends on your needs?

For me the LSV is not a tool for a normal day, it's a tool for blastoff when you want to go to space. :D

I am really tempted to get an LSV with all the great reviews. I have a few questions:

Best method of getting the LSV in Canada (in terms of price)? Would the cheapest method be the official website (they seem to have reasonable flat shipping, however I have no idea if I would get dinged by taxes or duties that would ruin it) or from a head shop. I live in the Toronto area if that counts.

I know I need a 19mm Water Pipe adapter, however what is the difference between the Short and the Long in terms of performance and everything else?

Any answers would be greatly appreciated. :)

The long WPA is just ridiculously big IMO.

I've never actually used one, but my shorties have all been more than large enough.
You can pack a good 0.2-0.3g in the shorty if ya want to, and anything more is better suited to multiple loads IMO.

I've also seem people talk of having a Harder time getting good hits from it because the herb is farther away from the heater.

Imo, Stick with the shorty WPA.

Hi all after having the lsv for about a month have to say its great with my mobius 60b,like above poster says the large wpa is a waste of time,I had to put a screen half way down just to get it to work.
Ended up ordering the short wpa from USA which was expensive with postage to uk,also great hitting it dry with the wand,highly recommended device.great customer service as well,unlike the utter contempt vapexhale show to customers outside North America will be steering well clear of that company in future

This device can't be supposed to work differently each time you use it? I thought it had to be just harder to use than a Solo but when it does nice clouds at 12 one night and won't even start getting any vapor before 3 (took it all the way to max and it never scorched the herb) the next night it just seems to me like something is up with it.

It's a beast when you get it to work but it seems like every time I plug it in it's up to luck if I will get to use it properly or not.

check that your heating element is set at the right height. you should get consistent results every time.

as far as wpa's for the lsv, i like a 18mm male-male adapter best. its closer to the heating element than any of the other wpa's. the shorty wpa works pretty well though. the long one is a joke. i got one sent to me by accident and it wasnt really usable... took too much to load and it was pretty far away from the heater.

Heating element shows two sets of three digits, from what I've read that means my heating element is further out than most. Everything indicates that it should be performing much more consistently than it does.

The LSV is very sensitive to voltage swings from you AC outlet. Might want to try a different one to see how it goes.

Have tried several, still seems to be hit or miss every time I use it. Can it really be so sensitive that if it works properly or not is pure luck?

We're here to fuck shit up.
There's something wrong with the unit. I've used my LSV in a lot of different outlets and it's never failed to work. There's either a loose connection making it work only at the times when the connection is closed or there is an issue with the rheostat. I would suggest contacting 7th Floor or the retailer from which you purchased and look into a repair or exchange.

Heater cover is pushed down as far as it goes. Heating element shows two sets of digits in the S/N every time I look at it so I don't think it's changing positions.

I guess I will contact 7th Floor, but sending it in for repairs won't be a possibility. :/

Sent them an email now, hope they respond quickly. I do have a feeling that there won't be much they can do if I can't send it back in.

Hey guys I'm looking through lots of threads to decide on a vape (very new to this) I was considering the Plenty, SSV, Cloud EVO(this seems the best 4 me but not available here only original) and now I've come to the LSV!

Basically I want something that hits hard but is versatile too AND really want to use a waterpipe/bong with whichever vape i choose. I need this for smooth vapor and to make transition from smoking easier.

Problem is it seems I can't get attachments/adapters here in Australia for any of them.

I've been told the Plenty can be inverted and plugged straight into a 14mm stem - and I've heard u can use the transfer wand with the LSV to plug in the 14mm also - is this true? if so is it easy or do I need an adapter/attachment? I've heard it's cumbersome with just the transfer wand?
The Plenty looks great too but seems a little all or nothing in terms of hits and uses more herb than others (although there is debate about this)

Really overwhelmed by options/info and would appreciate some advice on what can be easily hooked up to a waterpipe for me - bearing in mind i can't find any adapters/attachments here!

Hey Dos Equis, just reading your issues with LSV and it sounds like when i first used it, my issue was in fact draw speed (and a HC issue) coming from a Solo i was used to sucking vapor like a thick milk shake. on the lsv i use a slower draw speed and a longer inhale, i get massive vapors , with a lot of coughing , and of course pre heating for about 10 mins . just wanted to wish you luck mate , the LSV is a machine once you have it down.

That's what I was thinking, but after using it the exact same way two nights in a row and seeing it work differently each night it no longer seems to be the draw speed that is the issue.

All three will work with any 14/18mm glass, if you have a piece with an 18mm opening and your ssv hose (for example) will fit in a 14mm, just use an 18-14mm glass adapter/reducer bushing for added versatility.

In the case of the evo it's the other way around because it's made to fit in an 18mm opening.

Thanks. Could u please do me a huge favor and check "australianvaporisers" website and see if they have the attachments I need for any/all of these vapes? I'm just not sure if the "ground glass connectors" are the actual waterpipe attachments I need!

OR is the "vape brothers vape to bong adapter" from "ozbongs" what would work? Would rather if I could just order from the 1 company...

Pick an ssv and wand/hc, then pick a bubbler.
Then call the store and ask them which ground glass adapter will connect the two. As has been pointed out, the tubing will also connect to 14mm female ground glass without an adapter. You could also use a 14/18 reducer bushing with ssv tubing and 18mm female ground glass without an adapter.

edit: sorry thought this was the ssv thread. The part about the tubing does not apply to the lsv.
