Ahh, ok thanks guys. I just wanted to be sure it wasn't my screen specifically. I can definitely live with it since I'm usually viewing it from an angle where I don't notice it.

The bags:
I'm really enjoying these bags! Walking around the house is awesome. I've tried the whip a few times but I just prefer the bags so much more. I feel like my lungs really appreciate breathing regularly and the bags don't mess with my airflow the way a long drawn inhale does with the whip.

Upon reading your post,
I had to immediately fill a balloon.

This allowed me to confirm your findings for myself;
and I concur completely :smug:

I still haven't even tried the bag. :disgust:

The bag is hands-down my favorite way to enjoy the Herbie. Not only do I feel I've got better control of my intake (see @Vape-Nation 's comment about breathing and bags vs. whip), but also I have better control of my intake in the other sense (ie, I know I started with a full bag and anything missing is exactly how much I consumed.) Plus.... and I hate to admit this publicly for as much I've said I'm not a cloud chaser... but there is something a little satisfying about looking at a full milky white balloon. ;)

I've picked up a small WT that is my second favorite approach, but the bags win over that by a long distance.

I've really soured on the bags lately. I originally thought that was the method I'd use the most, but now I rarely use them. They take a long time to fill up, the valves don't seal properly, the flavor isn't as good, and I actually feel like I have more control over my consumption using the whip. With the bags, I have to finish the whole thing in one sitting, which is actually more than I need sometimes. The whip allows me to inhale my vapor in smaller doses. Bubbler rips through the whip are the best way for me to control my consumption, hands down. 2-3 pulls usually get me where I need to be, with maintenance hits following as needed.

I'd probably revisit the bags if some improvements are made to the valve. I had a more enjoyable experience the one time I used a Volcano with the classic valve. I will say that hitting the bags through glass with a 14mm male adapter sounds fun. I've tried pressing the valve up against the 18mm joint on my bubbler, and it works okay, but far from perfect.

Speaking of bags, it's kind of lame that most of the other accessories are still out of stock on the website. I understand that they need to focus on producing Herbalizer units, but it's been five months now. How hard is it to stock some tubing?

I know this post sounds negative, but other than the above I have no complaints. This is an incredible whip vape.

I think the seal issue being talked about is once the bag is full of vapor. There is a slight gap btween the two surfaces. I have held mine up to lough and see no vapor escaping except if the bag is squeezed. At least in my experience.

Yeah, my problem is once the bag is full. There is a slight gap in the valve that allows vapor to escape. This is an issue with all four of the bags that came with my unit.

Also, 20 seconds to fill a bag has not been my experience. It usually takes around a minute for me, sometimes a little longer. That's with .1g or less loaded in the bowl with no packing.

Just a thought, but have you cleaned the screens in your bowl recently? I had been experiencing the slow bag fill up you mentioned but after a deep cleaning of the bowl and screens I was able to return Herbie to how it was when i first got it.

I'll give it a shot, but my screens aren't super dirty. I was regularly clocking bag fills at around 50 seconds when I first got the unit.
You're right, my guess was way off (edited)! Never had my watch handy before I guess.

I fill my bags using 1/2 bowl, loosely packed to the lower rim. I let herbie run at 445f with a bag attached until the fan shuts off automatically. I just timed it, it takes 90 seconds.
Compared to any other vaporizer I know of that blows up bags, they can't even get warmed up to operating temperature in under two minutes so for speed I'm okay with it.

edit: how fast does a volcano blow up a bag (once it's warmed up)?

Hello all,
I am wondering if anyone has heard an update as to when the folks at herbalizer will be selling replacement parts? I have left several messages over the last 6 weeks but have not heard back. I am desperate for a new power cord, aroma pads and bowl screens. (most important being the power cord!!!)

*As a side note, Herbie never lets me down despite all the maintenance issues that have been cropping up!!!
I sent them an email and they replied within 24 hours saying replacement parts should be available around May 19, 2014. I've been checking daily. Ideally, there should be a way to order parts and then have them fulfilled (and be charged) once they ship. But that's a minor nitpick, as I LOVE the Herbalizer.

This has likely been covered before, so my apologies for not finding it. But can you recommend a good way to clean the screens? I've been soaking them in Green Clean after almost every use, but have been using a lot of concentrates and it's still gunking up pretty fast. Thanks!

After you pop the screen out, rinse it in 91% Iso, it will be as good as new.
If gunked from concentrates, allow to soak a few second, and rub between thumb and forefinger while pouring the Iso. Rinse with hot water, and blot dry before re-inserting.

Need to Harvest condensed vapors and clean my whip. My friend was using it and it pooped vapor oil all over his lap.

What's everyone's preferred method for vaping Dry sift in Herbie? Mix with flower or throw some in by itself? Sometimes if I load just sift in the top screen gets plugged.

No you don't. :)

A couple of times I've put down a half-consumed bag (feels a little wasteful, but I was fine where I was), only to pick it up much later and shocked I'm still exhaling vapor (would have thought it all would have condensed by then).

But nothing says bags have to be 100% full. Or, if you like the bag to be 100% full for whatever reason you can just figure out what a good amount for your is, and either cut the bag down (irreversible) or just rubber-band off (reversible) the unused portion, and then fill to the more restricted size. :)

Or just roll it up and binder-clip it :)

If you don't want to mess around with iso just swap the top and bottom screen positions with each other and the Herbie will clean the screens for you.
