Discontinued The Sublimator

Dammit. I burned myself below my wrist with the curved groove top of the Sub and it had my epidermis literally peelable. At 34 watts I am amazed how it did that so fast. After I did, I saw my dermis was light pink and thank god for school so I am a natural medic, got myself rinsing with water and hydro-peroxide and neosporin with a bandage. Man this sucks, I wish I could have upgraded but the cost is like affording the whole kit all over except all you get is the new controller and removable and cleanable head. The cost of upgrade should be less considering how serious these burns are and no possible way of avoiding future burns other than being extremely careful, which I had been able to do so for quite some time now. Please Enrico if you can help us OG'ers get a chance to do right with the Sub, it would be a tremendous relief to some of us who couldn't upgrade. I cannot afford another setup and wish you'd do us a kind gesture somehow about the last chance to upgrade. A great device nonetheless.

Was already in it! Man I do wish though.. Although it doesn't do him any good it will better fit the quality of customer service. I spent almost 6 bills for the AaB kit. When I first heard of this, the device was genius. If someone had warned me about a more revised and more thought out version would be released months after I would have not taken the risk and supported the Sublimator so soon. I am happy with the override option but it doesn't fit the safety of the device and it is likely to breakdown one day with no idea how or what I'll do with it when that time comes (knock on woods).

EDIT: Suggest I do have the money to upgrade I am still left without the tube kit and will not be able to experience the genuine partake in 'milking the tube' even if I upgrade. Would like to, but can't afford it. I am not going to shell out another 3-4 bills to the newest lather because I would lose my original Sublimator as well and in turn get no reimbursement for the device handed in although I had purchased it for almost 6 bills. In total, accumulated approximately 1k from the upgrade with only the revision in return. I don't think I would opt to doing the upgrade but rather just continuing on saving up for the whole Sublimator medical kit which I don't understand why for almost 1k would give you only a plastic tube instead of the glass tube which would better fit the "medical" sense in the kit. I'm sorry.. I am just rambling, this burn has gotten me kind of baffled and pissed off at the moment. I do apologize for derailing.

I sent my BROKEN power adapter in for a warranty claim (communicated with Enrico on like the 10th)..

Tracking states it arrived on the 15th.

So will my sublimator just be fucked permanently? I never got a package back with a power adapter and now it seems enrico has been arrested.. DID HE HAVE ANY EMPLOYEES TO ANYONES KNOWLEDGE??? Who is going to send my shit back

what was wrong with it? what parts did you send in? What do you have left? Do you know how to get to the closest Harbor Freight? take some picture of the end of the handle or what ever you got....... It is basically a small electric Iron with a dimmer switch on it , so yes of course it can be fixed................

I mailed in the Power brick and the Temperature adjuster thing. Maybe they already sent it back and it will arrive tomorrow otherwise ill try those emails.. I think enrico is the one who usually replies to support@sublimator tho maybe

edit: The cable that plugs into the temperature controller must have got messed up because it no longer powers the unit.. although it has been a crap connection since day one, as long as I didnt move it much it would be fine but now it just doesnt seem to work at all.

Did Enrico make bail?
After that he has to mount a legal defense, and save his company.
I hope he is backed by some big bucks!

Howdy folks, like to come in for an update, I reached my 1 year mark and my warranty is over, so I got brave and decided to attempt removing the main head on the heat core for cleaning, with much success. It was nice and hot when I removed it, and took very little torque to loosen it up. I was extremely cautious not to force anything too much, and watched closely for any movement around the top portion which I did not see any problems there. Needless to say, it came off pretty easily, and wasn't nearly as dirty in there as I had anticipated after a year of constant use. I cleaned it up, and put it back together and all is well. I am still able to pull about 60watts if I crank it up, but try to just keep it steady between 30-34watts as it will fluxuate often and need some minor adjusting. I don't know if that is our power fluctuating or the control switch, but in any case it's not hard to compensate when it strays too far out of range. I pretty much just leave my sub on 24/7 since I got it... :D yes I am a rebel...

...and to @Enrico, man, if you ever read this anymore, so sorry the man got you down right now, I hope you are able to beat those trumped up charges.

Are they going to liquidate now and drop their prices? Not sure if I want to buy one now but I want to see how it plays out.

Not worth the wattage droppage if used repeatedly. My max watt is at 45 now. Sometimes 42. I don't know if my warranty would cover the heating element. I just want stable and accurate temp readout for crying out loud.

I'm maxing out between 30 and 35 watts. Going to do my RMA this week, hopefully.

I want to make my own launchtube. All I need is something to plug the top of the tube.
What's the preferred method for this? I am having trouble finding anything in the house to use.

@CG420, you should be covered under warranty.

So what should I do? Contact them via e-mail? I don't know exactly what they'll do for me. I wish the upgrade could just be 150 max. Damn man why didn't I hold out instead of pulling the trigger on this stuff back last year..

You purchase from PV or Sublimator?

Shoot em an email and tell em your situation. It looks like the RMA process should cost about $50.00 from PV.

I made this inquiry not too long ago, and I was told:

If you bought it direct from sublimator, then it gets repaired by them.

If you bought it from a retailer, then it has to go back to that retailer BUT...

If your retailer is not planet vape, it ultimately still has to go to planet vape for warranty service. But it seems to be a more convoluted process where it needs to be returned to your retailer first, then they would have to contact planet vape (not sublimator) for further instructions.

Perhaps @PlanetVape could let us know if this is still the advised procedure.

Good luck !
