So you think its better to keep this unit?
Is the power adapter good?? Is it also a charger?
Unfortunately it's not a charger if you have the older model, you will have to use a cable to charge and a cable to use power adapter mode. I actually really prefer the power adapter, it gives me the freedom of using it like a desktop vape without needing to worry about the battery running out. When I go portable, I still have 7 LED's on the battery meter :)

Guys what happens if I sent the solo for repair, and Canada post fucks up and loses the package? I have a feeling that's what happened.
"Lock the doors.... and hope they don't have blasters!"

You call Canada Post and try to make a claim. I hope your package was insured. I'm starting to think the same thing happened with my Da Buddha: it has been listed as "In Transit" in my province since the 10th, with no updates. It says that it should be delivered by the 22nd of May. Two weeks to cross half of a province? Fuck you, Canada Post.

Do they both use the same size gong adapter?
I would if I could, but while my glass does get used often enough, it isn't a daily thing for me. I'm one of those weird people who likes their vapour "hot and harsh". Consequently, I've never seen the need for any sort of adapter: the stock Teflon stem fits just fine into my water piece, and Ed's Stems are tapered specifically to fit most standard glass.

The herb I'm using is medical grade and does have a lot of crystals. I mentioned before in one of my posts that two bowls of this at level 3 made me puke. I did another sesh with the solo+d020d yesterday and got blasted for another 2-3 hours. I went to a buffet in that time and are my heart out. didn't feel so good afterwards tho. almost puked in the shower xx

I use a seperate power source on my older solo. About 3- 4 times i have plugged it in and it shows the battery level then idle light then the bottom 3 heat lights flashing. If i try to raise the heat it will but then resort to the bottom 3 heat lights flashing.
thought it was fucked. But decided to unpluged and just use on batteries. This worked for a few weeks the did again. I just followed above and again worked. Like i said has only happened 3-4 times in last couple of mnths.
should i be worried?

Sorry if the D022 is not doing it for you. Mine was $22 delivered and work good on my side. Again just trying to help!

Since you own both, like I do now, can you answer a question for me? Do they both use the same size gong adapter? Please say yes.

I used my Solo GonG with both my Solo and HA for about a year or so.
It was very convenient having all of my vape honey collect in one place.
It is not a perfect fit with the HA like it is with Solo but it will work.
The non-airtight fit introduces extra fresh air into the HA vapor stream, though.

Hey guys. I'm expecting USPS to deliver my new Solo from Puffitup.com today. Is there anything a new Solo owner should know that is not in the manual?

1. DO NOT USE YOUR NEW SOLO OUT OF THE BOX. It will come with only a partial charge. Immediately put it on a charger until it is fully charged.
2. Before using your new Solo for the first time, set it to level 7 and run it through at least two 12-minute sessions. This will burn off the oils and other impurities left over from the manufacturing process.
3. After burn off, you are ready to enjoy your new Solo.

And also, you may find the glass stems difficult to insert in the unit: during one of your level 7 runs, while the unit is hot, try to slowly insert a glass stem. You might try it with both your stems. After the initial insertion, it's mostly easy to insert, after that.

Yesterday I kept loading my herb into the mouthpiece end of the stem.. got it all out then loaded it AGAIN in the stem. was about to do so a third time but luckily my friend stopped me. not sure what was going through my mind.

Sounds to me like you were just trying to get it loaded perfectly. Which is your right. Tell your friend to mind his own business.

He's not really your friend, you know, he just wants to vape up your stash. Just watch, once it's gone, so will he be.......

Dump him and find a new friend. A better friend. One who understands and shares your drive for the perfect Solo stem load? You'll never be really happy again until you do.

I want to try my new Solo, but USPS dropped the ball and didn't deliver it today. :disgust: :( :bang:

Are you sure? I bet it's about 3:1 there's a couple of USPS trucks parked together down the street with one locked up tight with voices inside saying things like 'you're right! This thing is great!'.

Those guys got cell phones you know.

Hopefully they'll clean it and repack it carefully before delivery tomorrow. Or maybe they'll just play dumb (they're very very good at that you know.....) and let you fill out the paperwork. Beats paying for your vapes you know.

Too bad, really, I bet they didn't fully charge it first, but at least this way you don't have to do burn offs?

Just read that this thing takes 4 hours to charge for the first time. Damn. I should have got the power adapter that lets you use it plugged in.

Clarification: I loaded stuff into the MOUTHpiece instead of the bowl ):

I don't know why, but I have this feeling in my gut that they lost it because tracking hasn't been updated since Tuesday and it's a priority package.

I ordered mine on Tuesday. I'm only 30 minutes from where it was shipped from and it took 2 days to get to me. If you are much farther away, I would not be surprised if it takes an extra day to get to you. USPS website says Priority mail will take 1-3 days.

USPS does not track package for each movement w/i it's system, as opposed to FedEx or UPS who track every intermediate stop.

It could even take more. Go at least until the charge light goes out (not just goes solid). This is a first time only deal, I think it's not a good time to 'cheat just a little bit'.

Not to second guess yourself, the PA no longer runs new units (only charges them like the supplied charger) anyway......and the drill there was still 'fully charge before the first use'.

Hopefully you'll get past t his delay and get to the enjoying part soon.

So true. I've had packages delivered and still show at the PO. Even 'awaiting pickup'. No doubt about it, the PO is not competitive in this area. Then again, the FedEx and UPS guys can lose their jobs for screwing up too much........

LOL. I broke down and combusted some Dream Queen so I'm feeling quite a lot less bitchy now. :) I keep forgetting that I get this way when the meds start to wear off.

I was thinking the same thing about not cheating. The last thing I want to worry about is to have to replace the battery.

That really sucks that the PA no longer runs new units. Isn't it odd that there is no mention of this on Arizer's site, or did I just miss it?

Not too long ago, if a carrier scanned a package, the data didn't get into the system until the carrier returned to the office and uploaded it. But now they're getting cell phones.
And a guy I used to work with at the PO, with over twenty years service, just got his job back after losing it because of bogus charges. It's a different ballgame now.

OK, I spent some time with my Solo finally after shelving it. I am using the glass bent stem now. It is very different than my EdsTnt. I am getting vapor at 4, which I stated before that my unit wouldn't do that. Well I think it won't do that with the wood stem but is with glass. I am not sure why I am not getting the same results with Eds stem? I warm it up and then use it. I have not been doing this with the glass and it works better. Any thoughts. It fits super tight but from what I read thats normal. Any suggestions?

i just got my ed's grandillo a week ago and i experience the same issues/traits of the metal bowl compared to the glass bowl.

the grandillo stem has amazing taste, looks great and won't break if you drop it, but in my case the trade off is smaller clouds and longer sessions required to clear the whole bowl.

currently considering picking up a high efficiency stem for the times i need to clear a bowl quickly.

Excellent perspective. Swap a few more hours waiting and get back many more happy, worry free, hours later enjoying your Solo. Small price to pay, IMO. Peace of mind has real value IMO.

I agree with you, the PA feature was nice. I'm very glad both mine have it, I use it often. I get that they aren't making a big deal about it, after all 'use while charging' is now a FEATURE.....one we asked for. This is the price of that feature. Another data point in the eternal 'be careful what you ask for' discussion?

Anyway, soon probation will be over and the celebration will begin in earnest.

Remember, you need to 'put down' blazing completely for a week or two at least to get the junk out of your system, lungs and perception of what it takes to get stoned. That last part is the hardest for many, experince has linked the toxic crap in smoke with THC in your mind, it needs to learn that you don't have to stick your face in the campfire to get off.

That's when you can really start saving money, savoring your herb, and living longer......

Best regards,
