Lol.. awesome picture Horror!

@ Kid - I don't know that the demand is there for enough of them so probably not anytime soon. That being said I've been told the regular Nylon Stems stick in a 14mm GonG joint pretty good even without a taper. Maybe someone can verify that for us?

Stock nylon stems do fit a 14mm no problem!

@underdog just sent you a pm about my VVPS'.

I'm pretty sure you could cut one in half without too much difficulty. The metal stops just inside doesn't it?

:)

@ Sleepin - answered your message.. thanks.

@ Kid - ah, gotcha, if you don't mind the lack of a taper I could easily make you a half-length (or whatever) stem, anything between 2 inches long and 4 feet long is doable. :p

Wow these new Aircore Pups are Alphas for sure!

While I am not a fan of these inside fit stems at all (personal preference - I like more air draw and larger load capacity for use with large glass), using them with a standard stem (or a custom Wood one with a glass tip as is my preference) they hit like mad dogs!

*maybe I need more time with the nylon stems or something*

Loving my new rainbow poplar pup!

I'll have to post a pic of the pack with their leashes (VVPS') later.

For now I am one happy camper!

=)

@KidFated. Plan to post a review, and some pictures of my collection later tonight (Aircore included!).

Ill try to get in some side by sides of the heating elements and such so you guys can see the difference.

Personally, I love it best with the stock stems, but you have to be careful because it can fit MUCH DEEPER. Love it for massive clouds!

=)

FYI- I was not a beta tester for the Aircore, just a guy who had to have one when Underdog said he was selling them off! A decision I do NOT regret!

Ok here are a few shots of SOME of my collection!

The two VVPS' on the left are a couple of VoltageKeepers units I had done custom.

From left to right you have the Rainbow Poplar Aircore, followed by a Maple twig, and finished up by my Rustic Chinese Chico Pistache twig (my fav!).

The Aircore is on the bottom right here. See the difference in heating elements? The Aircore allows for much more (efficient?) heat delivery it seems.

And some stuff I did to my Travel VVPS to make it more travel friendly!

Now I will be reviewing the Aircore later after I have spent more time with it, and the various nylon and wood stems I have that fit INSIDE the heating element. I am trying to like them, I really am. I feel like I need more time with them before reviewing. The unit itself with a stock stem is my dream. May have to buy another!

@underdog just keeps on killing it!

Well I'm already gunna get one ;) just wanna know more! Where are these so called "beta testers" :science::p

Good question man, I don't know. We only have a few testers that are part of the FC community and I haven't heard from any of them in a while now. Maybe they're all couch-locked?

@ Sleepin - Nice Dog Pack you've got there man.. I like your various VVPS/Battery stacks too, looks like you've got 'on the go' covered.

Do the air core dogs heat up faster ? I'm very interested. My girlfriend only uses nylon stems and I usually do unless my screen pops out and I don't feel like replacing it. I saw the new screens and was hopping the new design would stop the screen from coming loose in the nylon stems. I have one of the first holiday vapes that I enjoy daily ( ash twig ) and been using a tattoo vvps and never leave it plugged in for more than a hour or two.

I really love my pup and all my friends do to !

Good timing @CaptainDave I am just plugging back in now, Ill do a side by side heat up and let you know.

@underdog I, for one, cannot stand to be restrained. I must be free to roam! Therefore VVPS' and Li-ion packs are a must!

EDIT/UPDATE There are variances in heating time, but nothing significant. I would relate them to the various wood densities. I would also say that, for my Aircore at least, the heat up time is comparable to a Twig. 10-15 minutes for a low temp 15-20 for a high temp. Your results may vary.

-Im already vaping. lol

Just got my UD! Just did about two nylon stems worth & am already feeling it! Too bad I have to work in a few hours or I'd be doing extensive "testing" :science: But really this thing is fantastic! It's way smaller than I thought it'd be! I know I'm going to enjoy using it for years to come!

Yeah the new formed screens for the Nylon Stems are nearly impossible to upset and are much, much easier to install as well.

@underdog is it normal that my desktop VVPS only goes up to 12.5?

Finally started using it , but it maxes out there. In fact if I go past it starts to go down again.

Think I may have a wonky knob unless that's the voltage it was designed for.

I was gunna pm one of you but it's about the vape so maybe others will find it helpful, is the inside screen on the Aircore sitting deeper then the standard?

Yeah that's normal(ish).. I have their output limited to help keep temps in the UD appropriate range.

The output range of individual power supplies will vary though because of the +/- 5-10% nature of the components used with the overall range being about 12.5v to 13.5v. That particular one you have sounds to be at the bottom of that range but should still drive the vape to near combustion temps though would require a longer heat up time.

As far as the knob goes it doesn't affect this range, only makes adjustments within it so that's not a problem. It's normal for the output to max out at maybe 75-85% of the knob rotation and then fall off a bit if turned past that point, just the way the components operate.

Re: the 12.5v output level - have you very carefully and slowly turned the knob through it's range, are you sure it doesn't top out a bit higher and maybe you're just missing the sweet spot? If it really is topping out at 12.5v and you need higher you can always send it back in and I'll adjust or replace it for you no problem. :peace:

Yeah I did turn VERY carefully lol. No worries. I just wanted to make sure it was functioning correctly.

Thanks man!
