DAMN YOU All WITH ACCESS TO CONCENTRATES!!! I'M SUPPOSED TO BE THE CONNOISSEUR.
I've never even tried them, thank God my wife reminded me before I bought the 2 Vxnails I was about to buy. Its crazy the cultural barriers I run into. Ok sorry folks for the rant, I've got to find better friends.:disgust::bang: until then GSC will have to suffice. Thanks Vapexhale for making me feel better:mental::disgust::rofl:
P.s sad part is being in the city there is probably a guy one street over with a shitload of shatter trying to dump it, just my luck

We're all there with you. Most of us at some point had circumstances where we could not obtain quality medicine, or even make choices about which sub-quality medicine. It's pure circumstance that I live in a medical state, and I went DECADES on low quality medicine and never had any concentrates better than European hash.

It's like a medical utopia now with high quality medicine and *Cutting edge delivery systems!*

Yeah although I was born and raised here the backwards backwoods thinking of the Old South has me missing out on some quality shit. And not being able to to test the finer parameters of my:bowdown: EVO. I think its time to hit the streets see what I can find. But not knowing much about concentrates, I know I dont want nothing but the best so if I'm not mistaken I'll have to find Shatter or Icewax? I'll see if I can get a line on these things and then order a vapexnail or just get it as decoration. Anyway back to the lab these un-calculated factors will call for much more extensive testing as well as delayed results :disgust:

Just got my VXL EVO in the mail, pretty excited, it's way lighter than I thought. I haven't had a chance to test it out yet, but I can hear something loose inside movin around, sounds like a little piece of metal or something, is that normal/anything to be worried about?

Tested it out, working great, amazed at how well it retains flavor, im up to noon and 12 hits deep on probably .1 of material

Congrats!

I seem to remember a slight rattle inside too? Not at home to double check for you though. As long as you're getting vaped, I'd just sit back and enjoy :)

Have you guys ever tried just using a torch to clean the VXN's? I torch all my normal quartz and boro nails clean, so why not this one? Just would have to slowly move the torch in so as not to apply too much thermal shock to the boro.
Not that it wouldn't work, but it's just unnecessary. Butane isn't free and the EVO heater is hot enough to clean the VXN just as well as any torch. I leave it in for 1-2mins on max heat and it comes out white on the bottom. The heating is probably more even too - better for the nail.

I like the shot glass idea. I also grabbed my infrared digital temperature gun to test the heat before touching it.

It sounds like the worst case scenario is I have to buy some of the tools posted above and clean the bamboo tube. That's not a project I want to take on. I think I'm going to go back to using a torch or pen when dealing with concentrates. I've never had a problem just sticking a little oil on a bed of flower in an EZ Bowl.
I use a little stainless steel espresso cup for my VXN.

edit: you don't need to break out the ISO if your oil bubbles into the bamboo. Mine does all the time because I'm using cheap crumble. The heater puts out enough heat to burn off any residuals before the next session. I definitely can not detect any flavor change when running normal flowers, after a VXN-bubble-up issue.

I only bought one nail so in between hits I just wave it in the air really fast till it's cool enough for me to load another lol.
I do this too sometimes, with my 1 VXN. It's probably not optimal for the long-time health of the VXN, more thermal shock & whatnot (glass nails tend to crack and apparently it's not official 'quartz') but I'll keep doing it on this first one unless it suddenly cracks mid-shake.

I also only own one nail and I've had no problems doing multiple dabs quickly. Sure you can't literally dab back-to-back but I find the nail cools down quickly enough for me to be ready for my next dab. I just remove the nail from the joint, place it on my glass desk and wait a minute or two to cool. Holding it in front of an open window (fan, etc) also greatly speeds up the cooling process. I don't even have to wait until it's completely cooled down. A little bit of heat sometimes makes it easier to get the dab inside the nail.

I've also been going lower on the dial. I have been trying to use more of a technique rather than just get the Evo blazing hot and have it do all the work. I'm really loving 1:30 right now. It seems to be the perfect combination between vapor thickness and great flavor. 12:00 the vapor is too wispy, the flavor isn't pronounced. 3:00 the vapor is very thick but a bit hot, and the flavor is very good but again a little too much heat. So I've been sticking to around 1:30 with a 5-10 second wait before inhaling. Here's a dab showing my setup and technique. I may have waited a little too long to inhale on this one but the flavor was still great.

Cheers to VapeXhale and @stonemonkey55 . I've only reached for my torch once since I got the VapeXNail and have little to no desire to do so again.

The rattle is lightly just the Mesh grill the top of the unit being a little smaller on our tolerance everything else inside the unit is locked in a solid state.

That's what I thought it might be as well, just a little piece of mesh floating around in there.

Also, doesn't the unit normally come with a dry mouthpiece? I don't think I received one! Good thing I have a water pipe to use it with in the meantime lol

This thing is awesome.

Get together a couple friends and split them up when they come. I don't see why having a couple extras would be a bad thing?

You know you're in trouble when you buy a second unit just to clean your VXN's.

I tried something new today with evo.. And let me tell you I am hitting myself over the head for not trying this sooner:doh:
Made an attachment to use glass with the evo in its natural position. Instantly got much thicker clouds :D
So much so I turned the dial into unknown territory , 12. I honestly feel now that I truly own a vapexhale cloud evo. This vape pulls things out of my material the other vapes never got. I have no intention of ever selling this machine in the near future. Too much amazing to even think of it.
Thank you @stonemonkey55 and everyone else that has ever been involved with this company. Such a bright future.. Can you believe their working on a portable

Have been testing the VXN with some crumbly shatter this evening.

Tiny little bit, about the size of a small ball-head pin head, gave me an entire lung-ful, in one pull, that really tasted INCREDIBLE. At noon on the dial.

nope, there is no option to buy a single one anymore, just 3 or 5.

there was an option to buy singly last week, was saving up for another hydratube to buy with the nail and another 4 screens later this week. I don't see the reasoning to force us to spend more money than we want other than pure profit. Tired of getting bent over in this market.

I have cleaned a nail with a torch. I had it on a large paper clip I was holding with some pliers. It worked great!

I'm sure Planet Vape will sell singles when they have them in stock.

do we really have to order 3 or 5 nails now? can't buy just one?
I know right!? So dumb

nope, there is no option to buy a single one anymore, just 3 or 5.

While I can understand why one might feel that way, over 68% (and that number is climbing everyday) of people that have ordered single VXNs, have come back and ordered multiple nails, either because they wanted back ups or that they needed extra ones when they have friends over. Of that 68%, over half asked (and some demanded) that we foot the shipping and handling bill on the re-order. As we have said in the past, we make decisions based on what would benefit the majority. Some might think this is profit motivated and for that, we can't change anyone's mind but we have the data, the response, and the feedback from existing users and almost all agree that one is not enough.

Lastly, for those that don't understand glass, glass is not something that scales well. Meaning we pay the same when we buy 10 and when we buy 100. These are all handmade still and there are labor costs associated with glass and that is why we can only offer a slight discount on the 5 pack. We would hope that with our history on this forum and track record of trying to do our best with our customers, people would put a little bit more faith in our decisions. Creating an all glass method has taken a lot of time and R&D dollars and none of us are making what would be described as a "comfortable wage" as we continue to build this high end vape market. We are just extremely happy and pleased to be building vaporizers for a community that we love and that's why we do it, but we still need to keep the lights on to keep the business running.

Ideally, we have found 3 to be the minimum amount someone would need to always have one ready to load while the other two are cooling down. We don't want to gouge anyone but we also don't want to deal with all the emails of people complaining that one is not enough. Would a 2 pack be a reasonable compromise?

I'm sorry to say that I still prefer the taste of Ti... I think the VXN tastes just as good (maybe better!) in the beginning but it's just such a crapshoot as to how long to draw until you get "end-taste"

I'm pretty sure this is because the evo's heater compensates for your hit by getting hotter! It works just fine for flower, but IMO the software is not designed for vape-friendly air temperatures with the VXN sitting way down in the heater.

I hit at 11 (and 10 when fully warm) and I can watch the hit thin out, then get thicker as (I'm guessing) the heater kicks on again at the end. And if I do a big half a pea dab it's hard to see the change in vapor density and you inevitably get smoke-vape at the end and get that nasty aftertaste.

The nice thing with a Ti nail is you heat to where it's glowing a certain amount, count a set number of seconds, and it's impossible for the nail to get any hotter, only cooler, so you just get the flavor you want. I don't see how you could get the same behavior from the evo without a software change...
