salutations to you @Egzoset!
It is set at a fixed temperature, one setting at around 394° (roughly) just below 400°.
There has to be a regulator/sensor to control the chamber, it stays at a pretty consistent temperature.
It also heats & cools rather quickly.
The ABV is a nice shade of brown, not burnt at all. I think it would be extremely difficult to combust the herb in this vape.
The temperature seems just about perfect IMO.

I gather it's set to a fixed power level instead, unless there's a temperature sensor, hence my question. A unit with thermostatic regulation selling at such price would be a stimulating event and perhaps enough incentive once we know more about all paths and materials.

I would assume it has a sensor because if you turn the device off mid session and immediately turn it back on, the heating light only takes a few seconds to turn green versus about 40 seconds from a cold start.

That to me says a sensor is regulating the temperature. But I have been wrong before.

Maybe someone with a little more knowledge can give their input on this.

I'm looking at buying one of these for my first ever vaporiser. I live in the UK so it's been hard to find one, but i found one for a good price on Ebay. I'm unsure as to whether it's a genuine product however, with it being from Ebay. Here's the link, does it seem like a legitimate vapormax?

I don't think there are fakes yet, it's too new.

You really can't be disappointed in the unit for quality, price, convenience, and enjoyment. I have to say, the LED is actually a very nice touch to see the color of your ABV, and to pack at night. I thought it was a useless addition at first but I've come to like it. Plus you always know when the units on.

If this is going to be your first vaporizer, I feel it will make you a believer. Simple and easy to clean, great temperature, excellent draw (after you ditch the ceramic screen in the mouthpiece) as for the silicone MP if you soak it in ISO, then dawn, it takes the silicone taste away. I do not taste any funkiness and I've been steady using this 3-4 times a day and everything about it is stellar. Far beyond my expectations of it.
IMO you will not be disappointed because its so user friendly. I would order one, (I did, then I ordered 4 more for my non vaporizing friends, and 1 to take apart)

When you go on DHgate you can order from 5 or 6 sellers. That's the one I used. Another member had great luck with a seller that were a bunch of cute little Asian girls. look on DHgate and Alibaba, I think someone found an international seller for cheap there.

@HillaryClinton, yes, absolutely. That is my plan to take it apart.
I got ahold of the RFMK sales guy, he emailed me back twice. I'm trying to get a pocket puffer to review, it has peaked my interest (heres hoping).

I would go for it and get your friend into vaping with the vapormax. It would be impossible for your friend to have difficulty using it, or enjoying it to the fullest.

I'm liking the unit very much Vape Dr. Actually I kind of feel like yourself, lovinlivinlife and myself are in on a little secret that nobody else knows about.:)

To be honest although I would also be skeptical I am getting quite a laugh out of all the debate over the worthiness of this model. By the way @lovinlivinlife that was a nice review :) I just see this as the perfect budget vape and also the perfect beginners vape. It is easy to use and hard to fuck up. I would say it is also pretty difficult to break it as well. I have been looking for a simple/cheap/reliable model to send to my sister in an attempt to get her off combustion. She is lazy and stupid so I have to pick carefully :p This unit seems to require almost no cleaning as well other than tidying the oven from avb and keeping the mouthpiece in order.

Regarding people asking about fakes. I think this is very much like the Titan in that you are going to see this thing everywhere pretty soon and it is going to have all kinds of names. The difference between this and previous Chinese products is that this is the real deal. I believe Smiss is mostly an electronic cigarette manufacturer and in all likeliness this unit utilizes e-cigarette technology. Nonetheless, it is a kick ass little unit. It now holds the official title of being my official portable for the coming summer.

I'm also looking forward to finding out the actual life of the battery. I have a feeling it is going to be considerably longer than many existing portables.

It seems to work with any kind of grind to be honest but I generally prefer on the finer side anyway. I think many people will expect this to be very finicky and precious like a Pax. From what I can tell so far it is the opposite. I think you will be able to treat this unit very roughly and still get it to perform. A good grinder is nice to have but I don't this it is essential. generally if my grind is not fine enough I just attack it with scissors as well. Seems to do the job. Hope you like it Weefween :)

@Vape Dr. What makes you think its closer to 395? Does it feel more like an Indica's purple than a Solo's 4? (I know solos more convection, but still for temperature comparison's sake).

Thanks for guinea pigging these out for everyone, I'm sure more will be joining your elite covert ranks. Hell the way it sounds, if things check out internally, I may have to get one for myself after all....

Like my local Chinese food place, this thing just keeps on delivering!

Tip for the other 2 in the secret club. (Do we have a secret handshake yet?):

The pinnacle bullets might not fit in the chamber but 2 fit nicely in the mouthpiece compartment (with my silicone caps I use on them). And a full bullet is about equal to a full ceramic bowl. Makes it really simple and clean to load. (You can just dump right in, no mess)

So if you are out and about and don't care about keeping the mouthpiece on the unit you can pre-load the Vapormax and have 2 more loads ready to go without carrying anything else. :tup:

I just can't get the phrase "caution get hot" out of my head! (Club members will understand what I mean) :nope:

Oh, and there is a built in oil catcher compartment in the mouthpiece?

More on that later......:ninja:

@lovinlivinlife your awesome! (I use E-cig filter caps on my PnP bullets and some work perfectly) I knew there was a way to get the PnP bullet to work for something! Your really getting creative! that's awesome keep me posted! You just gave me an idea:evil: I wonder if a DiVinci EO cart would fit in the chamber......hmmmm

I can say it until I'm blue in the face,but this vape is one durable as hell super easy, non finicky, user friendly, great clouds, cool hitting, idiot proof, good abv keepin, long lasting, perfect for any age, inexpensive, starter, or everyday vape.

The temp is claimed by Ploom to be 394 degrees so that's why I say that temperature, but its probably lower because its smooth all the way through and doesn't irritate your throat or feel hot no matter how you draw on it.
I wouldn't hesitate to agree with @lovinlivinlife at 385, sounds like around what I normally vape at.

Oh its my pleasure @Vape Dr. , I am so happy this one has been such a success so far! Hopefully it meets the safety and reliability tests so we can officially announce it as the new budget starter vape to beat!

Oh and you'll absolutely be the first one to hear about the next new vape that pops up in my obsessive research, hopefully it'll be as succesufl as this little guy turned out!

Just got mine in purchased from ebay not at all too happy. On top of paying a bit more I was charged import duties making this vape more expensive then the Solo I just got. The funny thing is first time I was ever charged duties from USPS. There are also a few marks on the unit and mouth piece, it also has a very strong plastic smell. Will be sending it back hopefully the duties I paid at the door can be recouped and will get one off of DHgate. Was really looking forward to using this vape. :(

was the box not sealed in plastic when you got it? that's what i hate about Ebay! people can be deceitful...
