So is yoyokid actually replacing old Pongs with the new glass ones for people who have purchased from him/her? Because if so I would definitely like to swap mine out. It seems weird that a vendor would be addressing the issue before the actual manufacturer does.

I'm wondering the same thing.. I was going to order one from him anyway but really I've only owned the PnP for a little over two months and I started seeing pong degradation very early on after only using levels 1,2, and 3. Since I noticed the damaged pong I have only used levels 1 and 2 and haven't seen any further damage.

I did email vaporblunt and in the first response they said they would send me a replacemnt but I'd have to pay shipping, later they told me I'd have to send them my mp/gong and wait for a replacement, meaning I wouldn't be able to use the unit for at least a week

Hmmm? I wonder if they will make a glass-lined mouthpiece as well? Bit trickier, I suppose.

I must be fortunate as I have had my PNP for several months now with zero melting/degradation on my MPs and PonGs...and I go to level 4 regularly dry. I never use the unit upside down and always keep it looking new with regular cleaning. Works like a champ.

I can certainly see where applying pressure to the sleeve regularly would crack it. Hopefully the next version will have a better connection for the MP/GonGs.

But this little guy is a power house IMO. :)

I second the whole glass lined mouth piece. That would make this vape the absolute perfect thing for me.

OK disagree with me, I can't force you to be right
Mine arrived today also. Have to say I'm a bit disappointed. Guess I didn't either see one in advance or didn't look closely enough. Sure its lined with glass now, but you are still putting a piece of plastic in your mouth. What I was hoping for was a glass mouthpiece so I would be tasting my vapor through glass not plastic.

So I'm thinking of taking about 1.5cm off the top, sanding it smooth, and sticking the glass insert back in. That way there will be an actual glass mouthpiece. The already existing rubber ring should hold it, otherwise a small section of heat shrink tubing should do the trick. No more plastic. So it would wind up looking something like the mod pictured a little bit earlier in the thread without having to purchase anything additional.

Some months back a representative from Vaporblunt said they would replace pongs and mouthpieces for those customers wanting a different one due to melting plastic.

I sent my old pong in about 2 months ago for a replacement. About 3 weeks ago, Vaporblunt sent me a plain glass gong with a o-ring. It doesn't sit straight without being wobbly, I was disappointed at first. It has good flavor, I use a baby nipple cut off to hold it in place.

I don't know if I would be eligible for the new glass lined mouthpiece or pong since I already received a replacement. I would assume that I would need to pay the $19.99. So I would just order it from the yoyokid1. They seem to be a good company that responds to the needs of their customers.

The piece I see through the yoyokid1 looks better and it may stay better in place I don't know. It looks like a more finished product. I would be concerned about the flavor of the vapor.

I will stay tuned and wait from FCers to see if this is a winner.

Hello all! Like many others, I got a nice surprise from the mailman today. The planets aligned, and I received my repaired PNP and the new Engineering glass lined PGonG. You can see some pictures of it below. The plastic support portion is a brand new mold and has a smooth bore to seal against the o-ring and the glass sleeve. As you can see, it is easy to remove the sleeve. The screen does move rather easily in a clean glass bore, but it doesn’t seem to move during operation. Seems to be a set it and forget it except small cleaning…

The PGonG snaps nicely onto my new replaced PNP top. The @theyoyokid1 did a great job here! The thing looks new and he also charged my unit so it came returned fully charged. My guess is he checked it out and made sure it worked before it left his shop. Well done as that allowed me to do a quick clean on the PGonG as the PNP was warming up…

I don’t think I did a good enough job cleaning as the first hit tasted different. Not sure if it was plastic flavor, just different. And I’m not sure if it was the actual vapor or my lips. Once I seasoned it with a bullet and Blistix on my lips, the flavors started to come through (second bullet was better!). However, the vapor is warm, damn warm! With a WT to cool, all is good and the PGonG and WT combo is very secure. As we all know, this PGonG is WAY MORE STEALTH than my Epic or TRVB GonG w/ BB-Nipple…

So if I was to choose between the TRVB GonG, Epic GonG or Engineering PGong; the clear winner is the Engineering PGonG. The thing works well and has a nice piece of glass; no major imperfections. The bullets are held in tight so the airflow is through the bullet, not through some air-leak path. I can deal with the extra heat in trade for ultimate stealth. I went shopping at PetsMart, NOBODY flinched nor asked me to put it out, even at the checkout stand!

Practice random acts of kindness and senseless beauty. Oh and lots of vaporization too!

Great review of the latest and greatest of Pinnacle tech!

And wow, huge balls.. I'm too paranoid to vape in the open, let alone a store haha

Thanks for the info, @BarnBoy.

So, are we still allowed to trade in our plastic ones for this Engineering version? If not, are we able to purchase them yet?

Love my PNP but am looking forward to minimizing the plastic taste. :)

Did you order the TOP piece that cracks? how much was it and are you replacing it yourself?

Yes, that's right @lookhigh . It was $13 + $10 shipping to the UK. I will replace it myself, a 5min job apparently.

1. Remove the plastic lens surrounding the leds and button, just flips out.
2. Depress the tabs by the upper air holes, and the internals will slide out.
3. Remove the small screws holding the "top" piece in place.
4. Replace top piece, and screw in place.
5. Slide the internals back in to the case, make sure the tabs locate in the holes.
6. Replace plastic lens.

That's it! (Please correct me if any of this is wrong guys!)

@theyoyokid1 is a trusted seller, very quick response and turnaround. Within 15mins of paying (Paypal) I received a tracking number! I have read this whole thread and I have not seen a single complaint about him. TRVB could learn a lot from him about customer service!

I suspect VB are "employing" the yoyokid to sort out these issues with the "top" piece and PonG's as they can't be arsed with it. They seemed to have stopped posting in this thread.:worms:

Can't wait to get my new "top" piece and PGonG!

Combusting is dead, vaping is the future, the future is now! ;)

Yea that's all there's to it, did it a few times. Well worth $10, Actually buy 2 as it would suspect it is still the same material that cracks

I thought I was doing the right thing directly buying from the company. BarnBoy, how much did it cost to get your Pnp sleeve fixed from theyoyokid1?

CarolKing,

Krizzle

Hi Very high
@CarolKing I did too! I should of saved the dosh I paid VB and been patient and waited, then just ordered 2 Gpong's from the yoyoman! Live and learn eh! VB could really learn a thing or two from this guy. I got my WT and Bullet holder from him and the only issue I have is he charges $30 for shipping to the UK for the WT but it only costs $10. Other than that great guy, awesome service!

Hearing how easy it is to open the pinnacle now I think ill give it a shot myself later :science:

Interesting development with my Pro. I had the red flashing light, wont charge issue. VaporBlunt was very good about dealing with the issue and set me up to return the device. On a whim I decided to try recharging one more time and it worked just fine. I contacted VB who advised me to hold on to the return ticket as it was good for 30 days. Its been a few weeks now, Ive used it everyday since and its worked perfectly. Im hoping it was a fluke kind of issue as my PNP has become my go to portable. I was out flying my radio controlled quad copter today at a local park and no one there even noticed my PNP. Love the stealth aspect of the Pro!

What kind of batteries does your quad copter use?
